Note: I had actually posted this in another post but pavani and chandu requested me to make it a separate post.
Plus, I'm also adding updates about the infamous rocky "tandaav" dance.
I'm officially a ...Rocky fan
I was initially oblivious to this amazing human...sorry sorry ,snake who lives with the human world.
But then...I saw today's episode accidentally while changing channels during the nach baliye break.
I was like...man,how can be a naag be so amazing ?
Can Rudra come even one kilometre close to what our takshak vanshi naagraj did today?
Even words would fall short to describe the wonderful thing that I saw on tv in the latest episode of Naagin.
And the vfx, oh my god!!
Probably even the GoT vfx team have resigned after watching such amazing animation on such low budget in a 3rd worldn country called India, that too within such a short time.
I've even heard that already the producers of GoT are having a discussion with Ekta Kapoor so that she can lend her vfx team for the upcoming seasons of GoT.
Ok, let's come back to out of control naagraj's amazing deeds.
Naagraj Rocky might be an evil takshak naag, that too out of control, but that didn't stop him from indulging in chivalry.
He, man, saved the life of a poor girl by killing her tormentors.
That too in the most amazing way.
I was like...can be a man, sorry naag be this chivalrous????
Then, naagraj came to the shiva temple to pray.
But her dearie wife, feared that her takshak vanshi hubby might make the temple impure.
So , she creates a barrier to prevent his entry into the temple by blowing a hurricane
But , rocky the naagraj decided that if he can't go , then lord shiva himself has to come to him.
So, he transforms into his naag roop.Special mention to his costume . It was so stylish that famed fashion companies like louis vuitton and christian dior have been singing praises of it and have warned their employees to create atleast something of that level, if not surpass it, for their upcoming fall collection.
I've even heard karl Lagerfeld is willing to collaborate with the costume designer of naagin in his upcoming collection and Anne wintour is planning to feature the costume in upcoming issue of Vogue .
Then comes the performance of the millennium.
Yes, earth shook as takshak vansh ka raja performed his tandaav.
To the music of baahubali.
Mm keeravani(music director of bahubali) was proud not for bahubali 2 breaking into 1000 crore club , but for the fact that naagraj rocky performed his groundbreaking , earth shattering tandaav to his music.
The choreography was so awesome that prabhu deva and Farah Khan have ecided to retire from directing movies.
He danced till he dropped .
Also, his body was hot and sexy!! Hritik roshan has personally buzzed rocky about his workout routine.
Also, his sexy legs is already giving supermodels like giselle bundchen complex .
Then ,naags of takshak vansh came to their king , impressed by his resilience .
They , crowning him as their king, spread their wings and took off to take their naagraj to their kingdom.
All of these were witnessed by his horrified wife, who is also thankfully, a snake(yippeee).
But sadly , they belong different castes, sorry sorry, vansh.
Since in the human land, brahmins are barred from marrying kayasthas ( for that matter, any lower caste people), seshnag vanshis and takshakvanshis can't have a rishta.
But in a wonderful lesson in intercaste marriage , takshak naagvanshi raja's seshnag vanshi wife promises her gurudev that no one will be able to come between them.
And her gurudev informs her after the snakes take their king ie her rocky to their kingdom, he'll be wrecking destruction on seshnaagvanshis.
So like a true wife, our savitri naag rani took upon her naag roop to rescue her satyavan naagraj, broke through the dense forest to reach those naags who were kidnapping her hubby.
She threw fire from her mouth (literally) at those evil naag and defeating them, brought back her husband to safety.
Directors of the Anaconda film series must watch this show and learn from ekta kapoor how to make a proper snake film.
Even the dinosaurs from the jurassic park films don't come close to Ekta Maa's snakes...sorry sorry, that's an insult, we should call them, naags.
Ok, jokes apart, let's come to facts.
Whatever happened in today's episode made me forget that this show was once made as a entertaining weekend watch for the bored humans.
And let's come to Rocky.
Initially he was a dumb male lead, kinda like that abhishek mehra(or whatever his name is ). But majority of the audience members were not happy with this guy so they introduced a naag called Rudra.
However, Rudra turned out to be a fan favourite.
Fans were clambering to make DraShiv a couple.
We were waiting for the naag-naagin love story to happen.
But, they first tried to make rudra negative, which ofcourse backfired , so they killed him off.
But, unfortunately, the already beleaguered show went haywire after Km's exit.
Then , they tried to give Rocky a purpose by making him grey character, coz apparently that's the speciality of kvb.
Even that didn't work.
And then they pulled out the final ace from their sleeves.
Well, fans were demanding naag-naagin love story.
So, here we go, meet rocky the sexy naag.
Seriously , man, I can't count the number of times Ekta and her "creative" creative team have shoved down their "male lead" Rocky into the throats of unhappy audience members that even people like me, who was pretty happy with Rocky (anyways , I never minded having rocky in the scene coz I liked kvb and thought this rocky character of his is just another version of abhishek mehra, the rock star. Plus point of Rocky was shabbir ahluwalia wasn't playing it), start to hate him.
I mean , in the beginning , he was just this regular boring guy who does his work , loves his wife and family, and gets occasionally pestered by the presence of a Naagin .
But then, for some stupid reasons, they decided rocky wasn't really working.
So here comes the evolution of Rocky in the span of Naagin S2:
Lover Boy -> business man+family man->sapera->grumpy , coz family died->Revenge taker,stealing wife's Naagin powers in order to avenge badi maa's killing ->Depressed man who's constantly being thrown to and fro between naagin wife and Badi maa, who've survived in the most unlikely situation .Oh, there's tanvi->special man->takshak-vanshi naag->naagraj.
How man how!!! Even rajnikant couldn't have so much promotions if he had to play the role of a office superintendent of a government office in his next film.
In order to promote "Rocky " and establish him as the true successor of ritik, they made a character to whom most audience were indifferent to , into a laughing stock!!
But yeah, the cvs have managed to achieve one thing.
From being that serial which turns its heroines into snakes, will be going down in the international history as the show where the male lead suddenly turned to snake just coz he was not getting "enough" popularity.
Well, rocky was not a very popular character to boot, but he wasn't even hated.
But after turning into a snake , he's getting all the brickbats.
That rocky killing those two men was enough to make me forget whatever I saw in any rohit shetty film, especially in singham series films.
Ps: By reading one of my sarcastic words I have written above, people might think I'm putting Rudra down.
No, there's no reason to put Rudra , the guy who saved us from monotony when nothing was going right in this show.
Actually, the fact that rudra managed to impress masses so much that people forgot RiVanya and started to demand Drashiv instead of RoShiv, hurt the cvs so much , that in their desperation to prove Rocky's awesomeness, turned rocky into a badly told kapil sharma joke.
Note:Umm, if rocky was naagraj , then how been music didn't affect him and he got killed so easily by mahish?
