I do not think it is that easy to answer. I think honesty is the best policy to address aise cunning people like Amba.

lekin they kept his character intact.
he told them the truth ki haan amba is putting sindoor for me. I know this and obviously he has no control on her action and feeling, she is an adult. He told them sincerely ki yeh baat hui and what was his reaction. This now looks bad on Amba. He is smart enough to understand how do reporters get to know ki amba sindoor uske naam ka lagati hai. That conversation was private but she brought in public so he also gave an answer honest and correct answer back. Realizing ki they have half truth, an answer in NO or I do not know will put him at spot. She will come with something new but he wants to stop it right then and there. Amba gave one side of the story and he told his side, I think this is the best way to handle amba. Ball now is in her court. Then he tells ki he wants to marry vidhi so sab clear hai. What is reporter going to say. She was setting dev up to tarnish vidhi ki image but he has handled it very gracefully. See how negativity was killed by positive and honest attitude.

I actually like this. Amba and Priya would not even imagine ki dev gonna come up front and tell the truth.

Look ate her thought when she thinks ab kya karo tum dev? She claims ki woh dev se pyaar karti hai but I do not think she even knows dev raichand let alone pyaar

But haa my issue is ki Chitra and vikram ahs no issue ki Amy Mausi sindoor laga rahi hai bina shaadi ke.🤪 And Abhi bhi they do not think ki she needs a shrink

You are right. That question gave away the identity of the person who is behind the media uproar. If he is smart, he'll make that deduction.

Whether he connected the dots or not, he did checkmate her move with his straight answers.

Agree in sabko bhi shrink chaahiye 🤣

Dev is smart enough to figure out. Who did what. But unlike villa he knows his focus and priorities. For him right now vidhi is important not amba and he knows amba more than she does herself.

Also dev raichand is the person who is very dignified and respectful specially when it comes to women. So even knowing it he is not going to go down at amba’s level. He will not insult Her at all.
He will just focus how to manaao abba

Exactly. Vidhi out of syllabus aisa question hai jisko solve nahi kiya toh amba fail. Minus mein grade mileage and no attempt left anymore.
