Age Gap of Dev and Vidhi

So by far whatever bits and pieces were thrown here and there throughout the episodes, this is what I gathered -

Dev is 45 (Priya introducing him in his so-called Swayamvar recently). Also, he has taken up the mantle of taking care of his family since he was 15 (in some scene, Satyavati mentions this) and somewhere I also heard he has been taking care of his family for the past 20 years. So, the makers have been consistent about this so far.

Vidhi is 21. I think it was mentioned somewhere but don't remember the episode or scene. But since she is appearing for final year exams of her graduation degree, so 21 seems appropriate.

So the age gap is 24 years, which is quite huge. So, Dev falling in the age bracket of Vidhi's father (as mentioned by Vidhi's father whenever he meets Dev) is totally plausible. I am guessing Vidhi's father would be 5-6 years older than Dev at most. So, Vidhi calling him "Uncleji" in first few episodes was natural. Poor girl had to practice saying "Sir", whenever she saw him, spontaneously she would utter "Uncleji".

yahan bhi aisa kuch scene hi hai. Tabu bni vidhi or amitabh bna dev. Interesting.

Dev is definitely 45 vidhi don't know because she has completed her graduation she can't really be 21 although they have mentioned it once..personally I just think she's at least 25..the age difference is definitely huge and in real life I guess would look awkward but in the show it doesn't look bad and dev's really good looking lol :p

The only thing problematic is that they have shown vidhi to be too naive usually when there's a huge gap in ages the younger person is mentally very mature so they gel with the older person. Here both physically and mentally viddhi is eons younger to dev. I hope cvs develop her character into a more sorted young lady so that it doesn't look like dev is u know not in the position of power here.

Also I noticed yesterday the girls who came to meet dev were between 27 and 32 years of so I think his family doesn't mind him marrying a much younger girl. Also its so unfair that for a man of 45 years too society deems an older woman probably like 40 years of age inappropriate.

One of my well-loved films! I won't call it a favourite, because some parts are over-dramatic but for most parts it is so well acted!!

In Cheeni Kum, Amitabh Bachchan was actually 5-6 years older than Paresh Rawal. Here, Dev is 5-6 years younger than Vidhi's father. Some consolation, I suppose. But anyways, that's the point of age gap stories, prima facia they appear wierd because of the huge age gap but when you invest in chatecters, you sort of forget their age and they seem to belong together. After all, love is about emotions and emotions often tend go in opposite direction of logic.

The story would be so much nicer if they focused on the issues around their age gap rather than all the whiplash drama of bipolar Dev😆

Right now it's more of a personality drama of typical rich businessman screaming at naive girl and alternatively feeling drawn to her.....lol where is the age gap issue being looped in consistently?

I had also completed my graduation at 21,so she can 21 years of age as well...
