Ok my apologies for getting back after a whole day but naukri naukri hai 😊

Yeah indeed, not a teeny tiny gap either but then that's where the charm of debating lies.
As much as i don't fancy dissecting Rash-me's character (b/c it might come across as too boring to read) but your post demands it, so here goes and by what follows, i don't intend to say that this is what's right, rather i just feel that this is the purpose of the CVs showing the Rash-me drama.
These two common expressions will highlight what i try to state here:
"There's always two sides to a story just like two faces of a coin"
"Never judge a book by it's cover"
Mohan-Rash-me love/heartbreak story - She left him apparently quite bitter, broke his heart for materialistic pursuits, and she has serious lack of love for her country as well. That's Mohan's side of the story which makes Rash-me all shallow,self-centered and all that is bad but that's where first of the expressions stated above come into play. Ever think of the other side? Even so-called bad people find in themselves to love someone with their whole heart 😊 MR love must have been two-sided, right? As we already know, Rash-me also asked Mohan to go with her so they can be together but even he didn't, so in that sense, even Rash-me would have been broken? Being a south-asian myself, i know lots of people who go abroad to chase their dreams and go on to settle there, holding these same views, their country not meeting their expectations so they choose to go to what they call 'greener pastures'. Not everyone, at a young age, can know and hold onto the true meaning of love. Even Mohan in the supermarket said "Woh urna (fly) chahti thi tou mein ussey kaise rok sakta tha". There's no harm in being ambitious
Now as to Rash-me's character traits, now this world is not supposed to be filled with people categorized as "good" and "bad", instead the "good" people do possess multiple layers to their characters which are in some situations termed as their "gross inconsistenceies", and "bad" people do happen to possess some redeeming qualities in them as well. People are not so easy to read through, neither in real life, nor apparently in NBT and that's where the 2nd expression up there comes into this debate. Rash-me, left heartbroken all those years ago, comes across Mohan in the supermarket and vents out her anger/wistfulness in the form of insulting Mohan and trying to pull him down (because she hasn't found the same happiness in love which she had with him, in all these years) and on being confronted with Megha (as his wife) she becomes even more wounded, hence comes the coffee shop episode. Like us, Megha also got affronted at such show of brazen shallowness but the farmhouse episode followed and from there Megha got to know that Rash-me acts this shallow around Mohan as she is still seemingly "in-love" with him, even more now, when she is so close to her engagement with Gautam and Mohan is there in front of her, his seemingly happy life provoking her to regret and remininsce about their shared past. As far as what went on b/w Megha and Rash-me in the saree shop, Rash-me telling her about her feelings for Mohan..come on man!! leave alone Rash-me's bare truth about her feelings, Megha's question there wasn't exactly very routine to begin with. Megha, in all the sensibility and knowledge of Mohan's being a bachelor still, did ask Rash-me a very candid question which A REAL WIFE of any man would never ask his ex-gf so Rash-me was so correct in giving a candid and honest answer to a very unusual question.
Now Megha started this mission to help Mohan find closure to his past but on knowing the situation better she is free to change her tack, right? The strategy changes accordingly right? It's very common in everyday life as well, isn't it? Anyways that's my take on this phase of NBT and on Megha and that's what I think that CVs are trying to convey as well. To be shown planning and plotting, they would have given us some insight into Rash-me's mind in the saree shop as well but her genuine goodness towards Megha is supposed to have shown us that Rash-me till now was trying very hard to come to terms with her existent feelings for her ex-love Mohan who now seems to be happily married and all in love with his wife, but now that she has, she has resigned herself to accept and be happy with what fate has decided for her in the shape of Gautam so she doesn't resent Megha and Mohan anymore.
