Oh muchas gracias Jz for this audio clip. Another one of them signature "Mohan" moments. 😃
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣@ Mohan's anti-love thesis. I would definitely sit through an entire 2 hour lecture from Professor Mohan than sitting through Megha's philosophical lecture.

^^ My sentiments exactly. I don't mind that it pops up every other instance, esp since Guru explained "how that happens" - and I'd be damned if I didn't credit a set of writers who value the importance of justifying little things like that. Most shows would let it pass off as any assumption you wanted to make - just for being cute, mehh! The hanky is high in the list of inanimate cupids now, no doubt 😆

@FIL's dialogues--- Ummm i found him OTT with this "ehsaan" lines.

^^ FIL ticked me so bad!!! Mohan ka hanky distraction ni hota toh I'd have serious crib issues with that scene!!!

@MN terrace scene-- I loved this bit too and I totally agree with you on Ashnoor outdoing Akanksha in such somber scenes. Ashnoor is A-m-a-z-i-n-g PERIOD. I can't believe that she's just an 8 year old kid and is able to bring such subtlety and such control in her expressions and her VOICE. She has a very good control of her facial expressions and we already know that but she is also very good at her voice modulation. Love her as Nanhi.
@the scene-- yeah I liked the way it was executed and edited with the flashbacks and stuff. I liked how concerned and mellow Nanhi was with everyone sunaoing her beloved Spiderman when all he meant was good of all. I like how they use nanhi's innocent thoughts in showing Megha's introspection. They have done that couple of times before as well. Megha does seem to draw a lot of energy from her daughter...may be how she used to with Amar when he was around. anyhow, it was a nicely shot scene.

Ooh! I forgot to mention this part in my post! So apart from all that Nur and you have said - WORD to which - I just want to add that I LOVE the touch of Mohan's house lights going off as they do! There's something so perfectly in flow with the moment, Nanhi feeling bad for how Spiderman always gets it bad and wrong for helping - and Megha turning to see his place with the evident realization and guilt - the lights going off just that moment were almost symbolic (to me) of how Mohan is done trying as of the moment; like no, she can't look to him to be that tiny spark of light in her dark night anymore. Not until she remedies what she has truly pushed too far over the edge. And then Megha's assuring words to Nanhi which signify her resolve are perfect response to those lights going off - like she agrees it's her turn now after all!

And my vote too, to what you both said, Ashnoor steals the show. The mother daughter moments are usually always touching, and that 8 year old really does take the cake!

@lack of flashbacks--- I liked this bit. Good work on the director's part. You see the reason it worked on Mohan was because of the point that I mentioned about that natural ability to bring about the FLOW in Kunal's expressions. You don't need flashbacks to know what moments he's thinking about because you see it right through his expressions. Flashbacks are very overused these days, especially in such "self reflection about changing feelings" moments, that it seems very generic if you ask me.

Well pointed out Amy, FBs need to be used with care, just like BG scores... sadly not a common knack on TV, but yes, this one played out just right! FBs intervening with Mohan's expressions here would have actually caused the flow to suffer...

You're welcome for the audio rip btw - it just CRACKS me up so bad, I'm totally going to hear it in my 2 hourly coffee breaks while working tonight 😆 Kunal pulls off such an audio-animated dialogue!!! 👏

Thanks for the replies, everyone! :-) Will try to reply individually in a bit...

Re: FIL's khunnas...It didn't surprise or irritate me...am I the only one? Isn't this what his character is like?? His pride matters a LOT to him...and he HATES Mohan for the Amar report he published...there is prejudice at play here...He's a good man otherwise but in this one case he is not objective and won't look at Mohan in a good light no matter what he does anytime soon...so ofcourse he chooses to focus on the fact that he had to feel grateful of all ppl to MOHAN...it makes him feel small and embarassed...it was a very expected reaction...I think the slap to Tanu was for both reasons...for what he did and for the fact that he made the family feel indebted to Mohan whom most of them dislike.

Apart from this the other thing I found interesting was the consistency they maintained in Mohan...post the Thursday fallout, we've seen a more sombre Mohan...he is not as happy or perky as he otherwise is...today Megha apologized to him and some of the light did come back into his eyes but it's not back all the way yet...I love how his professional side is still maintained...his focus at work...he's busy doing his work and not spinning daydreams around Megha...yes ofcourse there is the connect, he is drawn towards her but first and foremost he does his WORK...even the chai bit today was good that way...first he gestured for her to take it, then she gestured for him to take it and he just took it without much of a fuss and went back to work...I liked that.

I think Aakanksha is uncomfortable doing these cheesy bits and that is why she is not very convincing in them...some ppl are naturals at doing the ridiculous and can pull it off...she seems to struggle a bit...these scenes when Megha puts on her "I'm the only wise one who knows everything" face and starts her lectures do look artificial sometimes. Aakanksha is very good otherwise but she should work on these bits and try to be more natural with them or they make the audience disconnect in the scenes.

So beautifully worded, Amy :-) Yes, Megha does seem to draw a lot of energy from Nanhi...interesting so does Mohan sometimes when he's down in the dumps and only his Chavanni can make him smile again...but coming back to Megha...yes, in many ways Nanhi seems to be a parchhayi of her father...she's got those Amar waale traits...honestly I find it interesting that while Megha was the one baantoing "wisdom" in this scene, it was Nanhi's dialogues that sort of hit home more...Ashnoor is a natural...

@Office scene with LOWE-ology lecture from Professor Megha-- Umm i found megha bits cheesy just like you did. But the only saving grace was Mohan and his facial expressions excellence. Kunal is FABULOUS with his facial expressions. He totally knows what to do and how much to put in or put out. There's a sort of FLOW in his expressions and that i think is his strongest and most unique thing about him. Word...there is consistency in his expressions and what he's trying to express...that saves what was otherwise a VERY cliched scene.

@lack of flashbacks--- I liked this bit. Good work on the director's part. I guess it's the editing department that works on the FBs...so yeah thanks to them for sparing us the FBs in that scene for a change😆

@precap-- there goes the dumbass again with his dumber than ever plans to creep up near Megha. I was so happy to not to see his ugly face today. anyways, this better be the end of this Pratik crap..it's become very irritating and is such a put off factor in an otherwise lovely show.
I liked the MNM bit in the precap. lol "helping keera" is back in Mohan now!😆 LOL you know the cutest line to me in the precap is how Mohan is stating that Megha has to be at home cuz it's the weekend...basically reassuring himself in his head that atleast she'll stay home and be safe...even as he's prattling on otherwise, his concern underneath it all is obvious...but obviously Megha is oblivious as always😆

Decent episode ... considering I had serious issues last week regarding Mohan playing a repeated savior, Megha a repeated dim wit and Prateek a repeated offender.

WORD on everything you liked Anu. Megha's dialogues in the last part of the episode were preachy. But I couldn't help but notice how she HAD to participate in the conversation when Mohan was giving his gyaan to Karan. She cannot help but be affected by Mohan as well. He manages to irritate her and yet amuse her. Try as she may, he is someone she cannot ignore. She may not like his ways, but she definitely connects with him on a human level, as I've said time and again. Whereas, Mohan is clearly besotted at this point, although he doesn't realize it yet. Yes, Megha and her radar...instantly zoomed in when she heard Dimpy's name...and then ofcourse she has to eavesdrop on the entire thing so utterly horrified by how Mohan's mind works on this topic😆...I do wish though that Megha wasn't such a TYPICAL preachy/gyaan baantoing female on the topic of LOWE...this is like a TEXTBOOK scene from every soap...the girl never tires of giving endless bhaashans on the greatness of lowe while the guy rolls his eyes cynically in a corner...upar se Megha's lecture mode tends to get artificial sometimes...today it seemed like she was reciting lines from a textbook...

Re: Karan - I kinda like that guy... he's a perfect whachamacalit underdog. Not to draw any parallels here, but I cannot help but notice that his characterization is like Benji from MJHT - an underdog, a follower, who ultimately ends up with the hottest girl in college - Dia. Let's see if the makers decide to do something with his character in future. Oh LadyM...you and your MJHT parallels *shakes head hopelessly*😆...Karan is funny...but Benji/Abhishek was a much better actor with better comic timing...and are you calling Dimpy the hottest girl that Karan will end up with?😆😆

@AreYaar...For me the problem with FIL was that...he did not have to be thankful to Mohan for helping Tanu (never expected him to thank Mohan)...but felt he was sensible enough (especially after he accepted Megha's working at PL) to see the bigger picture here...that his grandson was in serious trouble and he was involved in a theft...but NO...Tanu's issue did not bother him as much as Mohan helping them👎🏼...

That is the reason I love Jiji bua's character who sees the difference between good and bad...and she does not have any prejudice over Mohan because of Amar's report.

From today episode I can see FIL, Ever sulking MIL, Renu will be the biggest hurdle in MM relation, be it friendship or love.

Yaar Mohan's anti-lowe gyaan was the highlight - like I'm STILL laughing hearing it on repeat on my system (yes yes, I was crazy enough to rip uska AUDIO!!!) t-shirt se kachche par aajayegaa 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 My abs. fav. dialogue in that rant🤣🤣🤣🤣 Kunal is a NATURAL at these bits, sacchi😆

But moving some moments back to Mohan ki Arjun wali nazar training and focusing on target to be rescued - Megha's hanky 😆 and his one moment ambivalence, next moment dil hai ke maanta nahin grab it and go 😆 Awww Monu *jumps into screen to pull his cheeks* ☺️ Kitaaa man-child hai yaar yeh!!! Miffed like a crust by her rebuke, he still wants to get that hanky back. In a strange way - he's started treating it as his rightfully owned possession 😆 Like hai Megha kaa, but SO WHAT! Abi toh bas mera hai!!! 😎 Aww so truee😆...jaisa bhi hai, ab toh woh sach mein uska hi hai...it's more HIS than Megha's...Megha ko paase rakkho ji😆

Of course, the momentary path crossing at the threshold - bichara Monu, gets brushed off with yet another musibat passe! *shakes head at Megha* though it's understandable to an extent. When was the last time Mohan crossed that threshold without some showdown?! Never...it's like jinxed for poor Monu😆

Then of course the MM encounter. Mohan not failing to oblige Nanhi with a hello and a smile back to her own greeting - whatever his issues with Mirchi Mommy - and then shock of all shockers - Megha ji talks of "insaan" and "galti" 😲 😆 Like you mentioned Nur, the highlight - apart from the apology which we saw most of in the precap on Friday - was his quick exchange with Nanhi after that. I also loved how he could only just manage a nod in response to Megha's genuine apology. Sab gussa gilaa ek apology se clean slated! Mohan is such a pigluu man!!! *jumps in to pull cheeks again* ☺️ Specially that chut si smile that he can't help - it was EXACTLY the kind he'd had when Nanhi gave him the thank you card when they were still off talking terms - it's cho cuteee! 😆 He's so easily appeased and all smug again - aah, boys! 😆 For all his far reaching gyaan about how women are easily pleased with fairy tale romance, he doesn't realize what a boy he is to melt in a moment right?! Thoda smile kardo, mildly attention de do and Mohan bhaiya like all boys is happy and glee 🤣 🤣 🤣 WORD! Do second nahin lage pighalne ko...maybe Megha had the shock and awe advantage too😆😆...but seriously yeh banda to clean bowled ho gaya...that smile of his really is very sweet...LOLL@ pighluu😆

Mohan's anti-pyaar speech before that toh... I have NO WORDS for!!! Just posting the link - audio hi kaafi hai 🤣 🤣 🤣

Thanks so much for the link! This was superfun for sure🤣

Finally Megha's side of gyaan - kaafi without fathom tha 🤔! Acronym wala without fathom, right?🤣

I mean, so I like that "signs you're in love" were a tad different from the usual list, and apart from applying entirely to Mohan also made tad more sense than the usual kind - but it was definitely a mildly diabetic scene. My problem wasn't even with the sugar level...it was with the way Aakanksha recited them...ek toh they dialogues were deffo going on the cheesy side...but this entire lowe gyaan session kinda got dragged on a LOT...ITNE saare signs?? Megha ne kya PhD ki hai??😕😆...and it was a little too preachy for my taste...honestly...that preachiness was what put me off what was supposed to be a "sweet" scene I guess.

I understand what you mean...but I guess they've kinda established that FIL isn't exactly the most mature person in that family...he's too idealistic and hung up on his pride in many ways...like his views on the Megha working issue for the longest time...then the fact that he threw a chappal at Mohan...these are not the signs of maturity...the FIL is more of a victim to his human fallacies of being emotional and prejudiced...

Jeeji bua is the only one who actually shows perceptiveness and maturity in that family...FIL shows flashes of sensibility from time to time and MIL toh is obviously useless...

Hurdles toh obviously honge MM ki relationship mein but woh toh bahut door ki baat hai...Mohan is very far away from repairing his relationship with the Vyas family...they've made everyone prejudiced against him for a reason...to put up roadblocks in the story that he has to get through.
