WRT the TRPs, MKMM was never a success to SRGMP, though by numbers, mega challenege itself was nothing to write home about either. But I still respect SRGMP for that "clean and simplicity" show that was shown last year, either it was LC or MC 2009, yes some parts maybe scripted but we never pointed a harsh finger at it.
With MKMM, gajji clearly lost the plot. Sorry to say, the so called grand finale was just too mundane and forgettable. What happened yesterday night, I just forgot, I even forgot that there was a show called MKMM. Its time to come up with something creative rather than something which can take ugly turns like abusive language, fights for "marks" like failed students etc. And moreover, Himesh's old ghisa pita dialogues followed by Mika's abusive words etc were adding more nails to the coffin.
Gajji must take a break and do something creative. Really hard to believe that this crappy show came from the mindset of Gajji, who gave us the original Sa re ga ma hosted by Sonu Nigam, one of the best ever musical shows. Period.
Of course, MKMM was scripted from start to finish just to earn more publicity rather than showcase talent, though many singers performed exceptionally.
But its TRP was and is never upto expectations.
I am waiting for TRP figures of MKMM grand finale. I have a gut feeling that it must have been a poor show.
