I just want to highlight a point.

Why personality like shankar stood up against a newbie like shadaab??don't he have faith on his team members??

Shankar again stood up against anweshaa...a 16 year old girl..now this is something really very funny..its quite obvious if shankar performes he would definitely get 10 from audience be it shankar or mika ( i am not questioning shankar's ability as a singer)..He is one of the most talented singer in country.But still it's very hard to believe shankarji competing against shadab and anwesha.😕😲

It is not in Shaan's nature to lose his temper like this.He was fully justified in his protest.This was righteous indignation.Strange that no judge even tried to understand his point.Shankar is a great singer/composer,but he would go down a notch in our respect for him by this manipulation in the whole episode.

I completely agree with you. As a captain, he should have had faith in his team. He should have had the faith in his own capability of grooming them in the right way. And what would his own team members feel when he steps into their shoes and disregards all the preparation that they had made? He is a great music director and singer, and I have full faith in his judgement. But he is definitely lacking the qualities of a captain and mentor.

^^ Agreed! Shankar found a loophole in the rules in his match against Himess and has been exploiting it ever since!

If every match went according to Shankar's strategy, then only captains would sing and audience would keep giving tens. Basically: end of competition! Shankar keeps using the same old tactics - he absolutely need not come up against Anwesha and Shadaab!

And when contestants (non-captains) do perform, they forget their lines, but apparently this is some sort 'presence of mind'...

On the other hand, Shaan is trying to play by the rules and accepted code of conduct. He sends in a different singer in every round and restricts his performance to the last round. This is how the format was supposed to pan out!

But Shankar in his quest to win, has sidelined every singer in his team and has made the judges redundant (their scores don't get counted when he performs). The muqabla has just turned into a Shankar Mahadevan concert hehe.

We love Shankar's voice and singing, but we also expect him to stick to the decorum of the game.

Well, I think that Mika and Shreya wouldn't want to go against Shankar. After all their "Roji roti barkat" is dependent on great MDs like him. Whatever little support that Shaan got was from Himesh.

Shaan's team Shadab sang very good"Haji ali"-but dono how he got 8 marks while he was so good in sufi type song..
Anwesha rocked with DJ Round-She too got 9 marks..
One point is confirmed judges r so biased to give low marks to Shaan's team and i think all judges r gang thr to support Shankar..

Actually I'm a bit worried that Shankar Ehsaan Loy might not work with Shaan again because of all this. That would be pretty bad. 😔

I think both Shadab and Anwesha's marks were given by the audience only, since Shankar was a part of the round and judges are not allowed to vote. In front of Shankar, how can the audience or anyone else give any singer high marks?

They are very professional..This incident not going to hamper shaan's career for sure.But there will be a doubt in audience's mind why shankar ji stood up against shadab?not only once but twice..that means he do not have confidence on his team members.They do not have ability to score 9 against shadab 😆

No Shadab and Anwesha's Mark was given by both judges and audience..But shankar got only from audience full marks..Offfff Hate Shankar's captaincy..
