But it looks Kavita also believes that awards give "the hard work and talent" its due.

So Kavataji also believes they are important in recognizing talent and hard work. I also agree, and have said, that not winning in awards doesn't mean you are not good. But sometimes you just haven't gotten the recognition. So I like what she is doing to get those less-recognized but talented singers an award as well.

Looks like me and Kavitaji are also on the same side. But oh of course IF thinks awards mean nothing. Kavataji must be crazy, why is she caring about awards.

Himesh is not in Kavitaji's top 5 singers. He is in your top 5. So how does that mean you two are in agreement?

Anyway... I'm sure I'm wrong and my logic is flawed. So before you pull us all into an HR discussion, please just take Kavitaji into your HR fan club.

You, Shreya and Kavitaji can listen to Aashiq Banaya Apne together.

The rest of us will listen to Kishori Amonkar.

I'm not arguing for Himesh. Did you see me type his name?

I'm just saying awards are important.

Sunidhi Chuahan once said "Awards are important"

If you want link, I can give that too.

So add Sunidhi to my side as well. We both believe awards are important. But oh well, we both must just be illogical to believe that.

Bhai mere - the award is only as credible as the winner.

Think about that.

Tandoori nights. x

And if you go by that reasoning you are to enter in your own bias and take a completely subjective approach. I like to take the objective approach. Though I might not consider certain award winners as good as others, I'll still respect them all for their accomplishment.

I don't hate. I just appreciate.

Every award counts. If you win any award it is an accomplishment to some degree.

Yes but award does not make one Elite.

OK guys let's change the topic by naming our favourite Kavita Krishnamurthy songs:

I'll start with 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam title song'. What a haunting melody and the classical base of Kavitaji really shows!
