But the spark of Aneek is missing in this show. Has anyone thought why? If your boss is being unfair to you and there is too much politics going on in office, will you be able to give your best at work? Right from the begining he got to sing only in the DJ round. Even when he got 3 songs to sing, there was not one song where he could show the "gayaki" he is famous for. And when Himesh goes to show his "gayaki" to the world, Gajji conveniently goes and edits that part. Earlier I was blaming Shreya for her captaincy and not giving him good songs. But today after I saw Malaysiangirl's spoiler where she said that all 3 songs were selected by the channel and I saw Shreya hugging Aneek at the end of this video, I take back my words. I don't trust anything in this show solely because it is a Gajji show. Everyone is a puppet in his hands and he makes them dance the way he wants to. Everyone has been blaming Amaya for what he did. But who knows what actually happened? Gajji shows us only what he wants to. Aneek is a very docile person. He just suffers silently.

I strongly believe that he also belongs to a different league of singers.

Well said.
God bless.
with best wishes,

As for Rang De Basanti,I do agree that it was not his forte and he need to work on his breathing.
Raghu,I hope this topic wont turn out comparing raja and aneek past or present performances and this topic may lead to something else later on.
Thanks.
God bless all the singers.

I am sorry Malaysiangirl if I inadvertently hurt you.
Even I was highly disappointed though I did support Raja in saregamapa and later on simply because I thought aneek's voice had yet to mature. In spite of that I had never even then doubted his singing prowess, his absolute command over the medium.
I was also sorely disappointed and felt that maybe he is not doing his riyaaz etc because he had never had breath problems before.
I do wish aneek all the very best and a great future and am in no way his ill wisher. I wish him well. Rest assured.
He is capable of being perfect and I just feel disappointed when he doesnt rise up to the occasion.
Same is the case when Raja disappoints as well.
Love,
Padma

and because of the song he chose or was given I couldnt help but remember raja's rendition. This was a purely innocent and spontaneous remark and absolutely not meant to ignite controversy.
I am a mature adult and not into the controversy seeking mode.
Rest assured.

The episode hasn't been aired in the US there, so I haven't seen Aneek's singing or Shan's comments. My comments were only related to the video here, and I was objecting to the manipulation that the channel does. But it is very sad to hear from all of you that a brilliant singer like Aneek is having breathing problems.

I agree that fans put their idol on cloud nine, that's why I try to avoid criticizing other contestants so as not to hurt the sentiments of their fans. But the truth of the matter is that, most of our favorite singers have deteriorated to some extent. I can't imagine that I'm listening to the same Himani that blew us all away with her "Jiya dhadak dhadak.." or the same Hemu that made us all awestruck with his "Nahin samne...". The same energy, zeal, the junoon of proving oneself the best is just not there. Raja sounds good because he is lucky to sing the songs of his genre. But he doesn't sound mindblowing like he used to sound in Saregama Challenge. I'm sure that if he was forced to sing songs that was not of his genre, he would be suffering too. The magic is coming from unknown singers like Rehman or less known singers like Shadab. The only reason for this is the stage shows. The more popular the singer is, more engaged he/she is in the stage shows and that increases their stress level and affects their voice.

I agree with Haaru. We all know the plight of these singers and should not make this discussion a basis for comparing singers. Haaru, I know that you are a big fan of Aneek and is constantly in touch with him. Please ask him to focus on his riyaaz and singing and stop his stage shows.

I agree with you on all points but will just like to mention that we fans should support our idol constructively and keep a close vigil on how he/she is doing and try to get the message to him/her if he/she is wrong and suggest him/her how to improve.

that si exactly the point here. Himani is completely down the drain. Vineet n Raja are average. Aishwarya has also beocme more ordinary.
The only one i see in still brilliant form is Anwesha.he has kept up her riyaaz and practice and she is the best talemnt from these reality shows👏
I am slo sure Nihira would ahve kept up her original form.
These 2 singers- Anwesha and Nihira- were way beyond mindblowing in their debut shows. I think they are better than all male couterparts also (the winners who have now deterioarted)
Another is Abhigyan froml ittle champs 2009.
I thinkthese 3- Anwesha, Nihira, ABhigyan - will do very well even in future. I hope they don't get influended by all the singers form challenge-2005 except Debojit who is working very hard and has emerged as a better singer. Himani, Vineet n Hmeu didn't win and taht time their fans were sore. But I think Debojit has justified his title😛👏

@mintyblue, the point that I was trying to make is that all these singers fall into the pressure of contracts, stage shows etc. because of which their singing suffers. I really didn't want to discuss who has deteriorated and who has not and hurt the feelings of other fans. Fans look at their favorites with a different eye. Just as a mother feels that her child should be the best, so do fans. If one thinks that X is not good, X's fan may not think so. It is better that a mother or teacher corrects their child rather than an outsider who doesn't care for the child. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say here.

Yes but always being diplomatic and sweet is not the answer. there are poeple on this forum whom you've got to answer abck to.
Hope you gte my drift. You can always be sweeta nd nice, but not always. Because then you often fail to register and create a standpoint.
