BUT i take your point. Shaan showed inconsistency by first using Genelia to get audience votes and then preventing the other team from using Shahid.

My only response is that somehow I still don't feel like Shaan is a bad/insincere/non-genuine guy. I do agree that he was being a bit dramebaz but I think it's OK for him to get a little pent up at times in a competitive situation. The lack of an objective and fair jury can be quite frustrating.

From what I've seen of him on TV, I think he's a cool guy. One mistake won't change my feeling. Especially becoz he never got personal - he dint say anything about Mohit, Mohit's team or Shahid - he was just arguing on principle. Of course it seems he was being a bit inconcsistent himself. But at least he didnt badmouth or namecall others to make his inconsistent points.

And, honestly, I cannot understand your second point at all. So I'll have to ignore its precise details and give a general response:

In a very old comment I said that Shaan does NOT try to put rival teams down. And my example was the Abhas example (for which I later posted a link to a video). If you disagree with me on this point, and if you think Shaan DOES put rival teams down then you probably have your reasons too.

To be fair, neither of the judges are responsible for the actions of the guests. Mohit was not responsible for Shahid getting excited and joining in the medley and Shan wasn't responsible for Genelia blowing kisses to the audience. I don't think Shan's protest against Shahid joining the song was a protest against Mohit's team. It was more a protest against the rules being broken and the potential danger of the audience being influenced by Shahid. As a captain, Mohit could have also protested against Genelia. But being a non-vocal person he kept quiet which only harmed his team. Instead Shahid retorted by saying something about removing layers of clothes or something like that.

And anyways 2 or 3 people don't make for majority. As you can see majority supports Shaan in all the posts. That's what reasonable poeple would like- Shankar, Shaan and Shreya are obviously a notch higher than the rest.

My training in music and my understanding of voice quality says that shaan is an average singer. He is definitely a popular singer and is often chosan by even top music directors to sing their youthful songs.

But in a competition , only one genre is not enough.

Shaan has been very fortunate in life to get popular songs .So I felt that it would make him a satisfied person.However he is trying to win by hook or crook and that kind of desperation amazes me.😕
