Himesh Reshammiya lets down his locks of hair. He had three sittings of his hair transplant procedure done in Europe, one at Singapore. Every sitting showed a 25 per cent improvement in his tresses

Tress pass: Himesh shows off his hair

Himesh Reshammiya had said on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee with Karan that he always wears a cap as he has a receding hairline and will be going for hair transplant very soon.

Himesh's hair transplant finally complete and we will get to see his new look in producer Bhushan Kumar's three films- Karzzz directed by Satish Kaushik, Kajraare directed by Pooja Bhatt and John Matthew Matthan's A Love Issshtory.

Here's how the miracle happened. Our source says, "Himesh completed his hair transplant in four sittings. Three of these were done in Europe while the last one was done in Singapore. The procedure has been going on for the last four months.

Although it hardly takes four sittings, it took over four months for Himesh to complete the procedure due to his packed schedule. With every sitting, his hair was looking better and there was a steady improvement by about 25 to 30 per cent after every sitting."

Himesh's stylist Roopa Chaddha supervised the entire procedure and gave him this new look. They both had discussions with a hair stylist in Europe and then they closely monitored the procedure. After which, Himesh quietly went to Europe in August this year, for the transplant.

"In fact early this month, when Himesh performed at Amsterdam he suddenly removed his cap for a short while, when performing his hit number 'Zara jhoom jhoom'. That's when he started feeling confident about his new look," says our source.

Although Himesh Reshammiya remained unavailable for comment, his stylist Roopa Chaddha says, "Yes the transplant has been done successfully but I would not like to give out any more details. All his three forthcoming films will see him in three different looks. However, he will also be seen wearing his trademark cap in some portions of all his films."

Our source adds, "When Himesh performed at Amsterdam, he knew that it was his biggest show as no Indian singer had ever performed there. So, when he was performing he went backstage and suddenly came back on the stage without his cap.

The audience was extremely excited to see his new look. And that's not all. Himesh has already lost about nine kgs and will lose four more kgs for his upcoming films."

Himesh bares his locks

Himesh Reshammiya, who will star in the remake of "'Karz" has finally revealed his look in the film. And yes — you get to see him without his trademark cap.

The remake is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar and directed by Satish Kaushik. The film stars the mega star Himesh Reshammiya, as well as Urmila Matondkar, Gulshan Grover, Danny Denzongpa and Rohini Hatangadi. Himesh Reshammiya plays the role of Rishi Kapoor and also scores a hat trick by acting, singing and composing the music for the film.

The shooting is scheduled to commence from mid-January and the film will be shot in South Africa, Kenya & Mumbai. The original film had a cast of Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim, and Premnath amongst others and was a blockbuster of the 1980s.

Himesh's exclusive contract with self has others in soup

Himesh Reshammiya seems to be keeping a low profile these days after the grand announcements regarding the Karz remake and the tapori love story titled, A Love Ssssstory. Recently, a couple of the songs for Anees Bazmee's Welcome have surfaced. And surprise of surprises, it has Reshammiya sharing credits with music composers Sajid-Wajid and Anand Raj Anand.

This is something that only happened in the Himesh's earlier days as a composer, when good friend Salman Khan would always team him up with his other buddies, Sajid-Wajid. According to sources, Himesh neglected Welcome despite being urged on by the filmmakers to complete the music. Bazmee, who is currently shooting for Singh is King in Australia, admits that it is Himesh's preoccupation with his other projects which caused a problem. According to Bazmee, producer Firoz Nadiadwala and he were very keen to have Himesh's music in the film. But Bazmee started to feel that Himesh was not giving the film his full attention. Also, he did not want to continue waiting for the singer-cum-composer to give him time. Since his producer backed him up, Bazmee approached other music composers to complete the film's score. However, Himesh says that he did some music for Welcome some 15 months ago. He says that he opted out after the success of Aap Ka Suroor as he had decided to stop giving music to any film other his own. But he insists that there is no bitterness between Nadiadwala, Bazmee and him. But it seems that Himesh's exclusivity contract has not gone down well with many in the industry. It seems that Himesh is out to prove that his acting debut was not a fluke.
