After smooching co-stars Himanshu Malik some 17 times in Khwahish and Emraan Hashmi, Dharmendra and Rahul Bose several times in Murder, Kiss Kis Ki Kismat and Pyaar Ke Side/Effects respectively, Mallika Sherawat has now turned prudish.

For the last few days, there's been a buzz about a passionate kissing scene between Himesh Reshammiya and Mallika Sherawat in his debut film, Aap Kaa Surroor: The Moviee — The Real Luv Story.

However, Himesh denies the existence of such a scene. "How can I kiss Mallika in the film? It doesn't go with the story at all. It's just a rumour and there is no truth to it."

However, we're being told that the kissing scene does not exist in the film because Madame Mallika wanted it that way. Apparently, Mallika had made it clear that she was not willing to do any such scene in the film.

A source close to her points out, "Right at the narration ,she made it very clear that there would be no kissing scene in the film. In fact, her contract with the production clearly states that she will not be kissing in the film."

Despite this, a source working on the film says that Reshammiya has been flooded with queries regarding the existence of such a scene, in light of Mallika's previous track record.

"Himesh has been asked by several people if such a scene exists. He laughs it off every time anyone asks him. But it won't make sense to justify the placement of a kiss between him and Mallika.

The film is a passionate love story between Himesh and Riaa (aka Hansika Motwani)," says the source.

When asked if there was a reason behind Mallika's demand for a 'no-kissing' clause in her contract, the source says, "Her reasoning was that her character isn't required to do anything along those lines and she was quite sure of what she won't do in the film."

Himesh Triggers off a Revolt

Whether it's for his recordings, acting ambitions, or TV appearances, Himesh Reshammiya is constantly singled out for acting uppity and aloof.

Now on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa we see him burst into tears for the first time in public, and not just because of his father, veteran musician Bipin Reshammiya's presence.

There is more reason for Himesh's grief. And it's to do with the rigid stance that the musician-turned-actor insists on taking about his protegees' choice of songs.

Says a source from the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team, "Known for always being the ones to discover true music based only on the talent and riyaaz, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has known to have participants who are able to sing any genre, any type of song.

For instance a participant is asked to sing a Kishore Kumar and a KK song in the same episode, if you know what I mean. And based on the versatility of the voice, the performer is given his points. Now what is happening with Himesh is that he is not at all for experimentation.

So he always asks his gharana to sing songs with a sufi touch, so Rahat Fateh Ali and Atif Aslam are his favorites for his students."

This rigid stance does not go too well with the other gurus.

Continues the source, "The other gurus want the participants to sing various styles. Time and again we have also told him to change his selection of sings to incorporate some old songs! But Himesh insists he isn't fond of old songs.

He says he doesn't want his gharana to starve without work just sitting in a competition and experimenting. He wants them to earn money by their talent. If this style makes them become good singers, then it is only that style that Himesh will hone."

Not wanting to upset Himesh the programme's producers are playing along. But the other gurus are not very happy with this.

And it won't be long before Himesh is asked to bend….Or leave

6 June 2007 (Sawf News) - Despite the Rs 1.5 crore paycheck that she got from Himesh Reshammiya for her 11 minute appearance in his film Aap Ka Suroor, the well endowed beauty from the heartland of Jaat land, insisted on a no kissing clause in her contract for the film.

No one is quite sure whether Mallika disinclination to swap spit in the film was Himesh specific. We bet her fans are hoping it was, in which case Himesh isn't likely to be pleased. But then we don't know that, considering Himesh is a nasal sort of a guy!

Mallika kissed herself into Bollywood's non existent hall of fame by swapping spit with Emran Hashmi 17 times in Murder (2004). Strangely, that feat earned Emran Hashmi the sobriquet of Serial Kisser even though it was Mallika who went on to kiss in all her subsequent appearances on the silver screen. Besides Emran Hashmi, her scorecard includes Rahul Bose and Dharmendara.

Strange how we ended up with Dharmendra? While the sexagenarian Amitabh Bachchan has faced some flak for acting in films such as Nishabd, septuagenarian Garam Dharam has been quietly savoring kisses across diverse age groups without attracting too much attention, his most recent liplock being with Nafisa Ali in Metro.

Music composers Vishal and Shekhar stormed out of the sets of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Challenge 2007' (Zee) recently while shooting this week's episode. Apparently, all the mentors, judges and unit members had arrived at the stipulated time except for Himesh Reshammiya. This upset the duo so much they walked out of the studio.

Rajeev Arora, writer and director of the show says, "Himesh was busy with the promos of his film, 'Aap Ka Suroor'. He kept telling us that he was on his way, but he was over three hours late for the shoot. Vishal and Shekhar were so upset that they left the sets. I had a tough time trying to convince them to come back. Vishal absolutely refused to come back. He said, 'Just as I respect other people's time, I expect people to value my time too.'"

He continues, "That day was a tough one because we had to shoot three episodes back-to-back. I told Vishal that it was my wife's birthday and yet I was shooting. I told him that I too needed to go home early. He still refused to budge. Then I told him that if he came back on the sets, it would be a birthday gift for my wife. He couldn't refuse that. Though he was angry with me for emotionally blackmailing him, he agreed to come back."

But the worst part was that despite coming late, Himesh didn't sound apologetic. Allegedly he remarked, "If you sign a star, you have to bear this." Rajeev confirms this: "Yes, Himesh wasn't apologetic and behaved as if nothing happened."

When contacted Vishal refused to say anything and just maintained a 'no comments' stance. Himesh could not be contacted.
