Go fly bird, sing breezes blowin'

Go fly bird, sing Breezes blowing

Misty the window's glass,

Have I lost me

Or could it be

A fairy tale at last?

Here and there, fireflies spark,

Golden moon lost in waters darken the window piled clouds above

Go, cloud, go, keep an eye on my love.

Go fly bird, sing Breezes blowing

Misty the window's glass,

Have I lost me

Or could it be

I like her whisper! It gives special effect and if performed live like that it acts as a surprise element for the audience to cherish(personal experience)

Is this Bengali bdw ?

All my faves from Indian music have already been shared. Nevertheless, I am going on a head hunt on youtube! And what a coincidence that the very first song on the home page was none other than a rain song by one of my favourite singers, Falguni Pathak ji. It doesn't really have rain scenes but hey, saawan word itself, is a vibe, isn't it?

(25) Falguni Pathak - Saawan Mein - YouTube

This song was so popular in my country (once upon a time) among Bollywood music lovers. You could literally hear it on blast mode whenever any vehicle passed by! Maybe the soothing texture of the song played a huge role in that even its remix was too good. It's still a pleasure to the ears after so many years. Again, no rain scene but 🤷‍♀️

(25) Saawan the love season full song❤ - YouTube

Will post some Korean rain songs as soon as I get time. Will be back soonish 🫰

OK, I haven't posted any Shammi and that is sacrilege

Though this song isn't about 'barsaat' or 'baarish' or 'sawan' or 'ghata' or 'badra' or any of those allusions to rain or monsoon, (except in the beginning - bijli giraake aap khud bijli se darr gaye) they are getting drenched in the rain and singing with abandon, declaring their undying love so I guess that counts? 😆 I love the boundless energy that Rafi & Lata bring to this song! And of course Shammi! ⭐️

Song: Dil tera deewana hai sanam

Film: Dil tera deewana (1962)

Music: Shankar-Jaikishen

Lyrics: Shailendra

Singers: Rafi & Lata

Actors: Shammi Kapoor & Mala Sinha
