According to recent reports 'Mehbooba' is being sung by Asha Bhonsle in RGV's 'Sholay', where Urmila Matondkar would be gyrating to the song . But not many know that Himesh Reshammiya and Amitabh Bachchan are recording a different version of the song for the same film.

"Honestly speaking, I am more than happy that Asha-ji will be recording one version of the 'Mehbooba... ' song because I don't think any other playback singer can do justice to that song except her. For me Asha-ji is a legend and I respect and worship her. Now we will be doing a music video of the same song with me and Amitabh-ji singing another version of 'Mehbooba'. This version will be composed with a retro feel to it."
