Ram Gopal Varma's Sholay is getting a brand new version of the hit track, Mehbooba, courtesy Himesh Reshammiya.

The music director has not only tweaked the original music, but (Surprise! Surprise!) has also lent his voice to the track. For quite some time, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the actual concept of the song. There were also rumours that Asha Bhonsle would also be singing on the track.

Dialogue-baazi

A source who has worked on the song's recording confirms that Himesh has completed his portion of the song. "Himesh has sung the song and collaborated with DJ Akbar Sami on it. The feel and sound is completely techno, and will be a surefire hit in the clubs."

It is also learnt that Amitabh Bachchan will be speaking dialogues as Gabbar Singh in certain portions of the song. "Ramu still hasn't met with Mr Bachchan. Once that happens, his portion will be added to the song. Who will lend the female voice is still undecided, though in all likelihood it will be Asha Bhonsle."

The track has been kept heavily guarded, since it's one of the major highlights in Ramu's Sholay. "The song stays true to the original melody, though it is very funky with lots of techno effects. Ganesh Hegde will choreograph the video. It will feature Urmila along with Mr Bachchan and Himesh," the source adds.
