HIMESH ASKS PARESH TO PERFORM AT WEMBLEY
Not that I was particularly interested in performing at Himesh Reshammiya's UK's shows, but it made sense that I make an appearance because my old friends, Vinit and Himani will be singing with him.
Well, yesterday, I was leaving work and my phone bleeps to say I have a missed call. I don't have any Signal at my desk, so I get messages when I go upstairs or outside. To my surprise, it was the most popular Indian Music Director of 2005/2006. The man himself, Himesh Reshammiya! I tried to call him back, but he did not answer, maybe because he was churning out another song in the studio. (Mobiles and Cells have to be switched off in studios, otherwise they could interfere with Audio equipment during a recording!). Failing to contact him, I had to rush for Navratri Duties and ended up late and delayed the whole evening. Because of the Rain and Rush, my performance was definitely not upto scratch and a few fans even told me this. How Sad! But as long as I knew I realised I wasn't above par, I was happy. A crap day!
I've gone off topic a bit so i'll straighten up. The next morning, i was just finishing my "business" and my phone rang. Bhavisha, was near my phone and told me to hurry up and answer. It was Himeshji, and it was the first time i'd spoken to him since the Grand Finale of SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2005. He spoke in Gujrati and I replied in English. He told me to keep some dates free for his UK tour and he will think up a good Act for me for his show. I was quite flattered, but in two minds as that means more time off work and that will not go down well on my reference.
Going by my last experience of large Bollywood shows, I think I will enjoy meeting my old pals more than anything. But, it will be a good experience nevertheless.
Hope to see some of you guys there if you can make it. I heard ticket prices are quite extortionate though!
Take care!
Paresh

Jai Mataji… Lets Rock!
September 26th, 2006
… says Himesh Reshammiya after his opening words of Zee's Saregamapa Challenge 2005!
Wishing everyone a fun and uplifting Navratri. If you are in the London area, you can catch me performing most days at the SKLPC Community Centre, West End Lane, Northolt. I'm having a real blast. About 2500-3000 people on the weekends. It's absolutely Rocking!
Zee TV covered the event yesterday, so there may be clippings on a screen near you soon.
Apart from the many shows i'm doing, I may be doing a gig for London's Metropolitan Police next Month! A friend is trying to get me a slot in the Mayor's Diwali Celebration in London's Trafaglar Square. If you don't know where that is, it's where (Late) Amrish Puri feeds the pigeons in the opening scene of DDLJ!
The latest on the album:
Devinder, the main man in charge of the Arrangement, has completed most of the main track. The other tracks are still bring produced. It's taken longer than i thought, but I want the album to ride on it's quality rather than my Saregamapa Mini Fame(Although, it helps considerably!!)
Wishing every a Merry Navratri once again
Paresh
