I voted for Pritam because I didn't notice AR Rahman.

I think A R Rahman is the best here, but I voted for Anu Malik cause I just like him. And I thought ki Rahman ko toh sab vote karenge, to mein apne other favourite ko vote de deta hoon! 😃 I know that doesnt make perfect sense. 😕 It's kinda like saying Shahrukh Khan is your favourite, even though you know Naseeruddin Shan is a better actor, or Hrithik Roshan is better looking ... (still not perfect sense but oh well)

But yeah, if multiple voting were allowed, I would vote for Ismail Darbar, AR Rahman, Anu Malik, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Vishal Bhardwaj as my favourite music directors. 😃 (Incidentally, they are also the only National Award-winning music directors currently working in the Hindi Film Industry.)

Favourite SEL soundtracks: Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Lakshya, Bunty aur Babli, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, London Dreams

Favourite Vishal Bhardwaj soundtracks: Godmother, Maqbool, Omkara, Kaminey

Other music directors who still have time to truly prove themselves: Vishal-Shekhar, Salim-Suleiman, Pritam.
