I am experiencing a complete mixed bag of feelings... On the day.. when I am proud to be a MB audience.. just for the storytelling.. conviction.. dignity of opinions of each character.. I am saddened by the lack of conviction, depth and dignity of the mass audience.. for a show like MB being in troubled waters..

days like these make me feel why should anyone dare to make a change in the stereotype.. and go against the tide.. but again m stubborn enough to feel that creative freedom has the right to expression even if its made for an exclusive niche.. so let the populace drool in mundane viewing.. am gonna cherish whatever is left of MB.. the journey henceforth

post my venting comes my observations..

the epi moved and HOW... it had d pace that I loved in mb.. it had d layers that I loved.. every character had conviction..righteous or otherwise.. actors did a splendid job portraying their stand... dilemma.. introspection.. the best thing about it is EVERY CHARACTER has a MIND.. no one is stupid.. NO ONE.. every character is DRIVEN by something.. whether its obsession.. experience.. acumen.. love.. companionship.. faith or practicality..

every story and its characters revolve in their own Circle of reason.. so interconnected that its hard to count the no. of concentric circles.. primarily coz they appear the same.. but have so many different dimensions

Kill me for saying this.. but Viraj was brilliant today.. simply brilliant.. in his obsessive frustration.. I said it long back.. my only rationale for his eccentricity was.. he wasn't bothered for 9 yrs coz he tht she was unhappy.. the day he saw the genuine simle on her face.. hell broke loose.. sometimes i really wonder if the maker of this show is an alterego or simply reads my post and finds it masala enough😆.. Rajvi's hesitant fire.. Viraj's mom's helpless urge to get her son into a common circle of reason.. while he went on his own trajectory of vengeance.. was definitely moving.. while Viraj's larger than life sadism was unnerving..

coming to the parallel story of the past beckoning trouble.. I was wondering this last nite.. when V said no one wld find out the reality of his past.. no one who V.. only one is Devki.. everyone else in d family knows.. and I was wondering how they wld panic at this news.. I did not have to wait long..

IMV-Charu scene was 👏.. Nothing beats the sharpest compass of IMV.. how easily he summarized the state of affairs.. of how the love-birds was only an illusion.. and how D may be emotionally invested and V is clearly manipulating it.. thts how it will look to any outsider.. and further Charu's rant to Baa made me see reason too.. yes why won't V stop D.. why is he inviting his own nemesis.. why cant a generally observant.. sharp mind like Vs not see she is bending beyond her back for him.. esp when she is that transparent.. when she tells him exactly what she told IMV .. and coz she FEELS that way.. why does V want to deliberately close his acute awareness to it.. he is coming across as taking advantage of her emotions at this point.. when and where does he stop..

IMV intrigued me with his circle of reason..he told Charu not to talk to VV coz he knows its delicate.. and wants to deal with it like he does.. playing the right cards at the right time.. he calls devki to check her emotions.. and sees what he fears.. an emotionally invested girl.. naively.. innocently invested.. he chides her for her own good.. but doesnt wanna push it.. coz tht cld do more harm at this point..

Baa's unnecessary.. and moreover untimely finger pointing was sheer bad taste.. why can't she for once be a solution seeker rather than problem glorifier.. hasn't it been long enough for her to know that IMVs silence is not his helplessness.. thats his offense and defense at the same time... that's his well measured move in the reckoning.. baa if thts how u wld be thro this.. plz resort to yer god and let master take it over.. coz he defo gathers his son's mind a tad bit better..

story is moving towards an interesting POV.. I realize they wld be playing with 3 diff stories and interlink characters.. on a common theme.. yest made me feel Sid is in trouble. .and something bad may happen to him.. and serve as a rude shock to VV .. showing him the repercussions of a bitter past messing the present.. Nirali's angle may bring in some turns too.. altho her juvenile rebellion came across as completely out of place. .IMV can burn her with his eyes.. per se..😆

P.S. will be interesting to see how they level out V/D esp wid V (sid d actor) shooting in Poland currently (source fb pics😆) so there wld defo be multiple tracks tying up the story.. bring it on MB.. for those few that CARE FOR A GOOD SHOW..😊

one of the longest rant ever... cozI am as resilient as the makers of MB.. or should I say Viraj 😆..to keep writing and venting.. in spite of hardly any discussions (or readers for tht matter) in the forum.. coz MB inspires my rant.. and I feel like I owe it to the minds behind the story-telling..

Hello Sonali,
this is my first ever feedback on this forum, the sheer brilliance of this show and your intense post made me feel to write down my point of view of as well. My feedback is more on the overall MB as drama than related to any particular episode.
What intrigues me is how nicely these characters has been sketched, and its not just the sheer brilliance of Shri Harkishan Mehta who gave life to these characters, but also the dialogue and screenplay writers of this drama, who added rightful colors to each character, making them look more real and credible. Some of the dialogues that they use from real life scenarios as examples are just amazing.
As seen many times, movies or serials made out of novels or books are able to portray the characters far better than regular ones, as the writer has put lot of detail on each character and his/her behavior . So when the casting team casts the good and rightful actors to play these characters, they look more convincing and credible.
What awes me is that each character has a different passion and different desires, yet they all are connected by common sentiments, and that is the Bandhan, which is connecting all the dots.
Viraj and IMV somewhere share the same emotions of trying to somehow get their love back, one after nine yrs and other may be after 40 yrs. Eventhough their paths are different, yet their frustration is the same.
V on the other hand is not out of Sabina's thought to give any consideration to the feelings of D. Whenever there is any chance of emotional bonding, V is lost in his dream world with Sabina. What would interest me on their track would be, how situations convinces V to stop imagining Sabina and start imagining D in his thoughts, that sudden transition from an Ex to one's life partner would be something that V does not know and understand as to when it happened, would give a very interesting plot.
You are right this drama is way different than those regular Saas Bahu or other sense less dramas where one person dictates the lives of others. Here the moment IMV tries to dictate life of Manhar, he stood for his belief and stepped out of IMV's house. Thus its the fight of ideologies.

There used to be a serial Baa, Bahu aur Baby, I used to love the family values in that serial, it showcased how in the tough times the family come together and even though they had their differences, but there was no conspiracy between Devrani Jethani or between brothers.

And before I end my post...
Sonali, I really like your posts and I do read them, even though i dont reply to them, they give an extra flavor to this drama, which is already so acute on the human emotions. So keep your good post coming. And

@Abhi.. am glad my intense🤣 post made u open up an ac. and post here.. now try to make it a habit.. yup m demanding😆..actually I look fwd to healthy discussion of a show like this. .and even if there are 10 of us that watch the show for what it is.. for how balanced it is and share our POVs.. whether we agree or not.. come up with healthy debates.. that makes the whole experience enriching..

I agree to each of your points.. esp the bit about individuality that each character upholds here.. loved reading your take.. 👍🏼 looking fwd to hearing more from u.. esp now. .that the show is getting to an interesting point..

oye hoye what a post one of ur best, as u said jab tak mb is there lets enjoy it, i dont think it is ending anytime soon, i am ok with the change of time slots yaar 11pm mb wont have to compete with anyone, and since it is most viewed by class audiences 11 pm is a good time

and its a wise move, 930 was a competitive slot 11pm i dont think apart from star plus , any other chaneelair any show at this time. its not ending naa , thats a big relief for us, now i am sure even if big boss comes, mb will be safe😃

from what i know ltl is ending soon as that show has no story, mb is safe as of now😊

u r right abt viraj , i loved his acting yest, total psycho, so his main prob is is rajvi is being happy, bechara should have come few days earlier when sid amd rajvi were planning to get divorce, koi problem hi nahin hoti phir🤣

baa ke never ending lectures, imv toh ek kaan se sunke nikaal deta hain😆😆then why bother😆

Sonali I wonder if MB wuld be as fascinating 4 me widout ur super analysis? I think I'll watch 1 whole week of MB without redaing ur analysis nd find my answer, but I doubt tht i'll be able 2 stop myself frm reading ur takes nd offering my counter-takes.😉

Saw yesterday's epi, but hven't yet caught up wid Mon-Tues episodes. Will give my take later.

What an intense post Sonali. u have analysed the show and yesterday's episode brilliantly. In fact I too was thinking of making a similar post but fortunately I saw ur one. i rarely comment on this forum but I am now going to correct this mistake. Yesterday's episode had everything in it just as u said. U have expressed it all so beautifully that I feel that anything I will say will be totally inadequate as compared to what u have written. i can only say one thing..MB is a show which is totally different and which because of its unique story line and presentation has become so close to my heart that all other daily soaps pall in comparison to it. i follow quite some shows but generally I make do with reading the written updates just to see how the story is progressing. But in the case of MB i just have to watch the episode even if it is the entire week's episodes over the weekend. Because I know that every episode has something or the other interesting and believe me starting from the very first episode I have yet to come across even one episode which I have found dragging leave alone boring.

After reading ur post I have nothing to say but repeat all that I have written above (under @Sonali). I share ur views and ur emotions regarding this show. Since we seem to be one of the few who like such shows I feel we should stick together and do our best to improve the show's rankings at least on the CM. @Paaji.. glad to see all of u posting again.. nahi to main aur meri tanhai is forum mein aksar baatein karte hain😆 and I only hope the show goes from strength to strength coz it deserves no less.. the guy playing viraj was brilliant yesterday.. really good explosive emotions.. but I want another Charu VV scene for the high voltage.. VV ka dimaag thikane lagane ke liye.. 😆 I missed Charu too.. tg we have more of her now..and yer illleeellelele🤣🤣 yup we r LALALA shippers not ilelelel🤣🤣

btw kaka was awesome today when imv was announcing something imp, bola,bomb blast fodne waale ho kyaa table pe🤣and his rants on vaibhav , v ko pata bhi nahin hoga ki woh kitne saal kaa hain😆

and nirali ufff, koi mujhe bachao isse, she was supremely irritating today😡

am waiting for spl epi.. it wld be even better if JN are packed off to the derby and not shown.. let them holiday wid d horses... 😆
