Weekly synopsis- pot-pourri of plots

So I caught up on the whole week gone by, and in a nutshell it wasn't one of the best weeks.. I was disappointed on some accords.. and then I thought it wasn't that bad was it.. still much better than everything else dished out on tv.. but that's the thing with MB.. its only point of comparison is itself.. We, the viewers are so spoilt with superlative story-telling, editing and screenplay that we can't take anything below par.. Nevertheless there were high points and the mediocre stuff

The biggest flaw this week was the shoddy editing.. and the whole idea of plot pot-pourri.. where 4 different stories were given treatment together and in the process left half-baked.. rendering most tasteless and some unpalatable.. even the highlight moments did not reach its peak and were rushed..

Now coming to the highlight scenes-

CP and BB.. I will let Munira do the analysis for this scene.. but I really liked the fact that they showed CP resurface in the wake of parimita.. she still does live in that inch of remorse somewhere for not being a better mother.. deepti-sigh what do I say about her that I already haven't before.. really well portrayed..altho I did hope the actor playing bha could match up to the expectations of tht scene.. I just couldn't feel as bad for him as I should have..

IMV cornering Charu after the initial amazement that she knew all along and that he had underestimated her.. he was angered and hence the gross disregard for her way of life.. only to meet a dignified resilience from her.. Charu's subtle but strong convictions are impressive.. how she says thts Parimita's philosophy and decision.. and tht she has learnt not to be judgmental about other's way of life..

In short I was definitely intrigued by the scheme of things between IMV-Charu, BB-CP.. but I wished it wasn't rushed and given more development..

Now coming to the other side.. the grey sky with intermittent sunshine and clouds with silver linings..

The extremely random sores of the week were defo JN and SR/Viraj.. starting with JN the only silver lining is Rahil' I at least made an attempt to give the scenes a chance.. but tht nirali chic is extremely annoying in her acting or lack of it.. and for god sake can their plot/story have some sense.. I don't relate to the forced contrasting persona tussle crap.. there is no conviction there.. at this point I couldn't care less if they fell in love or fell from the horse.. 😆😆

Now the other unpalatable SR/Viraj.. oh for the life of me.. I cant see why Viraj turns psychotic lover 9 yrs later.. esp wen tht couple has a grown up child.. all these yrs he avenged IMV by doctoring yellow journalism and suddenly wants to kill Sid for a greater satisfaction.. buddy are you tht slow.. it took u 9 yrs to come up with this devious plan.. it wont take IMV 9 secs..😆 😆.. in sunny deol style.. IMV se takkar lene se pehle.. ja doodh pikey aa..🤣

As for SR.. I saw more camaraderie and chem/vibes if u will btw Sid and Devki and Rajvi and Devki.. so SR are not overtly romantic.. n they don't have to be its not normal.. to be suddenly mush balls 9 yrs later.. but cld we atleast see some companionship.. some development there.. or is tht the motive of Viraj track..

Side note: Munira they defo read yer RAJ-RAJ.. LOL.. 🤣tht color scene made me crack up so bad.. lesson to be learnt fellow members.. from now on.. lil more sanity while suggesting ideas..

A complete mixed bag was VD- it was rather interesting to see VD react as individuals.. till now we have seen their camaraderie but this week there was a lot of V by himself.. and I say that coz D in her la la land.. her heightened affection, her play-acting in front of the family did lose some of her characteristic restraint and bearing.. good enough for V to catch it.. and be surprised at the ease with which she has assumed some responsibilities mentally.. or the esteem she has placed of V in her life.. I did like the upma scene where she is sprinkling salts.. and brings the analogy of her companionship to that of the popular lovers in the family.. I liked the perplexing emotions of V in that scene and the sweat wiping scene of the cricket thing.. coming to which.. I liked bits of that scene.. where D is fondly watching him being a child.. these words played in my mind " Picnic mein cricket khelne ki fitrat nahi hain meri" it was rather cute to see him live life.. to find joy in the little things in life.. and then her natural assumption of the role of partner by his side.. with juice and wipe cloth😆.. and its complementing scene was V playing the bongo and watching D dance.. the cute smile playing on his lips to see her have fun (btw I loved tht belly dancing bg music).. little things like these make you feel how much they care.. and brings to front the essence of VD..

I did not mind the Sabina episode all tht much coz it was clear that V wasn't looking at similarities btw S and D there.. or it didn't seem so to me.. I liked the way the scene played out.. it started with this deja-vu that translated to nostalgia.. a reflection of this past that doesn't let go.. of somethings that come back to haunt you when u least expect.. it was like V had forgotten about it' and suddenly wham there it was.. running parallel to the present.. he was a loner in the company of his loved ones.. much like IMV in tht ear-ring scene.. a loner stuck in a different time zone.. while the rest was moving around him.. reliving that little cherished moment of the past.. in his taste of the gola.. Although to outsiders it may look like D is having an influence.. but just as life tht moment was short-lived.. and VV was back to his excessive hypochondriac ways.. (tht was rather adorable).. So apart from the highly graphic and random peck.. VD weren't completely butchered.. altho I am so done with the Baa-master rules.. move on already

On the whole picnic was for feel good purposes and bringing in the interplay of 3 different plots.. which I so hoped had more development and build up.. going by the track record I am willing to overlook this mediocre week.. only coz I trust the skill set behind the scenes here.. but somethings tht I wld be intrigued to see..

IMV ofcourse.. his course of action.. Charu and her attempts at protecting Devki from the harsh reality..

VV's mental diarrhea.. on speculating Ds state of mind.. and what he should do next.. in short TAKE A CALL.. about what he feels.. where he is at.. again no hurry.. let the track develop slowly..

VD- D getting her footing back.. the little tete-tetes.. if the CP revelation does come out.. VD progression.. and their companionship going deeper..

SR.. defo more development btw them..the ones we got hints of during the I need you to move forward and fight my demons bit.. they have one more demon to fight now..

JN- Shudders.. am not so imaginative to come up with any ideas other than.. don't show those 2 in the same frame.. 🤣

if there was one song.. to highlight the theme of futility of human efforts in the wake of nature's foretelling.. whether its IMVs masterstrokes... or BBs earnest efforts.. or CPs conscious effort to exercise control over emotions.. and lead a reclusive life.. or for tht matter VD efforts of establishing to the family tht all's hunky dory in matrimony land.. or VVs bouts of what ifs vis a vis his past.. its this song.. tht comes to my mind..

Doosaro ke kandhe pe bandook rakh kar chalana khoob aata hai IMV ko. Poor Charu had such a guilty look on her face, unable 2 bear d burden of guilt very smoothly placed on her shoulders by IMV. Wish she tries 2 figure out y does sudden change of heart or rather y dis sudden return 2 original heart ( or rather lack of heart😉) by IMV.

Yup d new Jimmy is sooo😍. Really like dis actor...but seems he'll be wasted as Jimmy.😭

well said Munira.. only bit I cld add to this was i cld really see bha's reconciliation.. its natural to feel this way.. of the you can't lose what you never had.. he did not have his daughter for the last 20 yrs.. and Devki her mom.. one fine day he cld dream or believe tht wasn't true.. only to see tht in some ways there was no other truth..
