see that's what I thought when I opened the post.. but read all the responses.. a lot of people have come out with really objective takes.. I honestly did not expect it.. I guess they were just waiting for someone to give a loud opinion as such.. and I am a self confessed loud mouth.. LOL.. and trust me.. the debates here are healthy to an extent.. just coz ppl do mean it.. not just coz they found one character better than other or one pair better.. although we all may not agree to each other's POV its coz we come from different places in life.. and have different belief systems.. I am just finding it interesting to read how one instance is seen so different by a bunch of people..

am sure you do.. have no doubts about that... having read some of yer takes. that's the thing about the show.. its very objective.. I don't feel like taking anyone's side.. just coz I can see where everyone is coming from.. whether its rupal or sonal or manhar/jyotsna.. the makers remain non-committal about all the characters.. and they are doing a stupendous job with IMV.. his actions can easily make you dislike him.. but nope I just can't do that.. in spite of all his insanely vengeful acts.. just as I can't dislike Devki for being rather less complicated and more righteous than normal... coz those are her convictions.. and each character in this show has a defined conviction.. and stands up for it.. whether its charu or rajvi.. speaking of which man m i excited to see rajvi's past.. and how she overcame that and invested herself to this extent in her marraige.. this makes me feel for her even more..

So keep your takes coming.. will love to read them even if I can't offer anything agreeable or argumentative.. 😃

Hi i too don't visit the forum regularly because I too was under the impression that not many people like this show. I am so very happy to know that there are some like me who love this show. Like you i also can't single out any one particular reason for liking this show. But all i can say is I like the story-line which is so different from the normal romantic or saas-bahu sagas. It has been given exceptionally good treatment and the characters are superbly etched and well portrayed. every actor does his very best to bring life to the character he/she portrays. The dialogues are superlative and the inter-relationships between the family members are also beautifully brought out. All in all it is a show worth watching. I only hope the forum could be more active. I have seen other forums where there is so much activity but the shows are simply mediocre. lets all get together and interact a bit more so that we too can express and exchange our views on the show.

i am devki and vaibhav fan but the reason to like this serial is because story and the different characters, it is different from other soaps, you have everything in this soap but you wont get irritated from particular character

Even though IMV is wrong then also we like to watch what happens next interesting twists which you never expected

btw , actually i like imv as villian,he is doing superb job👏

this game between imv and d is so much fun
d before giving any blows to imv asks for his blessings , take inspiration from his ideas and beats him
imv is forced to be impressed by d , he on one hand sees d as a potential threat but when he sees so much respect for himself for him in her eyes,
whenever d and imv interacts, i keenly watch imv , he has i believe tried to hate d but he cant.
i get a feeling he will in the coming days prove that d is innocent but place the full blame on manhar

v and d story is very real and thats a breather, i must thank cvs for not showing cliched scenes like in other serials,useless eyelocks and then a song lifted from a movie , or situations where they r forced to touch each other
it has been very slow and steady, there is no love yet between them but full trust and understanding is there, both have been complete honest with each other👏

Marraige is about companionship that can encompass a lot of sentiments.. it's nice to have love.. but if not it still can work out.. and how many shows even dwell in it.. although its so real.. look around you.. how many couples are madly in love with each other.. but they make their marriage work so well.. well there i go ranting.. told ya.. lol Vaibhav is intriguing me a lot.. Although I don't think he has any hidden motives.. his psyche is just too attractive for me.. just coz I relate to it personally..

Hii 😃 Yeah, and now we come to know that Rajvi was Viraj's love interest. This aspect is totally amazing!

Yup, this bandhan has surely given mukti to everyone, atleast a little. I liked the way, Rajvi was open to all about her feelings. I never knew she would say such things in front of everyone, to IMV on the face. But maybe after Devki has come, maybe people have learnt to voice their opinions, even if in a different light. But I really like the way Rajvi is always frank about her feelings. She had even said the same things to Devki and Charu before. It's natural, seeing from where she is coming. Apart from that, I wonder if Sid would ever come to know about this past of Rajvi. If he does, let's see how things proceed then on. Maybe I'm thinking too much 😛..

Yea, you mentioned another interesting thing. Only Devki and Vaibhav were pitted as total strangers. And their relationship is slowly growing. And it's quite a complicated one, with Devki working for BB's company and being rivals in business.

I dislike the show immensely. ... and my reason is simple - weak plot line and shoddy characterization of protagonists.

In all other shows we have a female character plotting to bring another female character down. In this show we have a male character plotting to bring his DIL down.

He is supposed to be mega rich, a tycoon and all - but his stratagems are as petty as dinner invitations and lunch meetings. The animosity is also so childish - he had a crush on his DIL's mother 30-40 years back and was rejected by the girl's father. He should actually be grateful to the man, coz had BB not rejected IMV, then he would've turned out to be another Dalichand.

The only real characters in this show are Vaibhav and Siddhant - amazingly well-etched characters and both the guys are brilliant actors. Especially disappointing are characters of Devki, IMV, and IMV's wife (sorry forgot her name).

The way the family is going gaga over Devki, it's like no one ever prepared Bfast in this house. They don't realize that by constantly praising Devki they are insulting IMV's wife by implying that she did not take care of the family or household. But anyway less said about Gandhari the better (that's my nickname for IMV's wife, since she seems to have closed her eyes to her husband's true character and machinations, liked her better when she used to shut her bedroom door on his face every night).

On the plus side the director seems to have a grip on the story and we can see that all characters stay more or less true to the character sketches with which the serial started - a big rarity in the Indian Television these days. The story and pace is crisp and taut with very few loose ends. Also the director seems to be in no mood to stretch the story unnecessarily into interludes just to keep the TRPs up.

Yet at the end of the day this show is no different from a typical Saas-Bahu or should I say Sasur-Bahu. Btw, must compliment Colors for moving out of the interiors and actually building a show around modern urban family. No matter that half show (almost 10 min per episode) is still dedicated to fafda and undiyo (no offence to any community), but in a show about Business tycoons couldn't the Art deptt. have built bigger office rooms and a smaller Dining Room/Kitchen. And seriously, if one wants to talk about food, they can send their actors to Kitchen Champion, just concentrate on the story in this show.

@Gangubai.. have been wanting to come back and reply to you for sometime.. first of all Love your ID.. 😆 like the way you expressed your opinion.. I like this kinda manner.. no nonsense stark honesty.. appreciate it.. I would not try to defend this show.. in any way.. and am trying to see what you mention as the setbacks here.. and just will say the treatment for me is fresh enough to overlook the mundaneness.. and like you said.. its intelligent storytelling that makes it worth a watch...

so just as you are completely entitled to your opinion.. I can only say we look at things differently or just different things.. don't know what it is.. but I loved reading your post.. nevertheless..

I must admit that MB is one of the better shows in terms of treatment and execution.

I'm personally, simply fed-up of shows which have either a lot of negativity/conniving family members or doormat or know-it-all heroines. I know that doesn't leave a lot of fiction shows for me, but I would rather not watch such shows than keep checking my BP after every 5 minutes :)
