The Hobbit is softer.....and funnier...tolkien almost had a non serious jovial kind of approach...so the movie should and probably will be like this.....more innocent than LOTR....but it will be a treat...hobbiton..bags end...rivendell... misty mountains...mirkwood....erebor...the battle at the end....i ahve heard tht thye'll recreate the scenes that were not a part of the main narrative of the hobbit such as the fact that council attacked and sauron fled....it will be fun.....lets just hope that too many comparisons are not drawn between the Hobbit and LOTR..the atmosphere of both was different...and r apporach will have to be accoeding to that i supose...

what do u think about the hobbit?

Me also thinking of the same. Wow! 😍 I am fascinated by Rivendell and Lothlorien, so I will be really looking froward to it.
Maybe they should do somethign about 'The Silmarrilon' too (I think I got the spelling wrong 😲). If you haven't read it, then do read it. Gives us an idea about Morgoth and finally Sauron,

It seems like I have mostly Bengali friends here😆so u r from Calcutta!

Are u watching any other show on the TV at present?😳 if u r not..what r u r reasons? do u love the KK jodi that lot that u ignore other jodis 😳😆

Vasu, sorry late se answer ke liye ... 😕
As for your question regarding Kudi and Kaake (in that order ), yes I am very fond of them. But I am not so fond of other jodis. I may like one jodi or the other in a particular sequence but then bas! that's it. My KK rules!!! 👍🏼
Yes I am from calcutta, but presently settled in Mumbai. 😛
LOL Vasu, kya question hai! 😆 Actually I don't watch any other soaps because of time scarcity and because I don't want them to become never-ending habits. I do watch movies whenever I get time. I don't ignore other jodis, it's just that I don't appreciate them a lot, or rather I don't look up to them. 😉🤔

Yes Dear, I am fine now.

So i m back 2 grillllllllllzzzzzz u he he he he 😆😆

Oh no, another round of grilling? 😲😉

So these r my Q😃
1-Nowadays with slumDogM everywhere

  • have u seen d movie,if yes then did u like it(ur views),if no then why u didnt see is it so cuz were u never intrested 2 see it or couldnt find time?

Yes I have seen the movie only recently, after it started it's winning spree. I liked it since it was made in a different sense, not a typical Bollywood movie. That's all I can say.

  • with frieda n dev gettin so much fame u think theu really deserve it?i mean wht u hink was there acting so nice tht they r bein talked so much???

Well I don't think I can really comment on this but I didn't find anything extraordinary. They were at the right place at the right time.

  • a r rahman got oscar n he really deserved it(no doubt) but u think was this his best work?i mean didnt he deserved award 4 his outher works 2,but got for SM

I love his music and I loved his work in SM. 😊 But ... yes there's a but, he has done other brilliant works too. But again, the Academy haven't heard them, so all's fair I guess.

2-Have u read any of d shakespeare drama,if yes then which 1 u like n why??
Of course, I have read many of Shakespeare's dramas. My favourite is Merchant of Venice because it deals with a gamut of human emotions, starting from freindship, love, valour, bravery, peace and everything else that makes up our society and lives. I like his other dramas too like Macbeth, The Taming of the Shrew, As you like It ... and many more.

3-In which movie u will like gavie n prableen together(opposite to each outher)??

Well this is a very tough question. I would love to see them together in a film which involves mature, sensible romance and which deals with human relationships.

Amongst existing films, it's a very tough choice. I will think about it and come back later.

Hope I get more questions from you. 😆

Rivendell was beautiful......it really looked like a place with its own kind of magic....elvish magic😛
Jackson still has a scale model of the rivendell sets i think..so they'll be able to recreate the thing the way it was in LOTR😃 lothlorien was very intriguing as well but i dont think it will be in the Hobbit....lorien wasnt even mentioned in the book i think.....😕

The Silmarillion............making a movie on that will be a huge task for any director i think..........there i so much happening in there...evenn more than LOTR....and making a plot out of so many unconnected stories will be quite a task...but the result will be spectacular just like LOTR😍

i havent had the oppurtunity to read it yet😔....i want to off course... i want to read everything ever written about middle earth by tolkien....his son christopher edited and published several books based on his father's material....this summer i m thinking of buying that whole collection of books ..if i manage to save enuf of my pocket money that is😆

the only tolkien work that i have read..other than the hobbit and LOTR is the Unfinished Tales...have u read those? the unfinished tales is just that...unfinished....stories that tolkien didnt finish so they didnt appear in the Silmarillion or anywhere else for that matter.........it was quite an interesting read actually😊..turin and tuor...there is also a part on Numenor in there and some stuff related to the Hobbit and LOTR etc such as th battle of the ford of isens where theoden's son..theodred i think.... died.....tolkien edited and re-edited these tales sometimes giving several versions of the same event and than leaving it just like that....very interesting read........made me want to read the Silmarillions and all those other books so badly!!!!!!!

Arwen I agree I am looking forward to read each ane every word that Tolkien has written. It's pure exhilaration and magic at the same time. I am also going to read 'The Children of Hurin', I bought the book . There is some reference of Hurin and his children in Silmarillion. But this book will definitely have more details and how they fell udner the doom of Morgoth and group, and how they betrayed the Elves.

I read parts of that in the Unfinished Tales actually....there was a whole chapter that was entilted children of hurin i think....the focus was on his son turin....i felt so sorry for him in the end....u know if u ever get the chance read the Unfinshed Tales.....tales that tolkien began and almost finished in some cases (as with turin) but being his own worst critic i suppose...he sort of abandoned them...his son is the one who edited and than published these as with most of the rest of his work....

cant wait for the summers when i ll actually ahve the time to buy books about middle earth....or may be i m being too optimistic because my brother's wedding mite be scheduled for this summer...goodness when i'll be able to read these.
