Hi everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joey gave me the rather sad news via PM. At first I was shocked, then I remembered Dewy saying that it might wind up. I also remembered how in one of our PMs we had said good riddance to bad rubbish. But I don't really want it to go. This is the only show I am seeing on a Hindi channel.
I watch CNBC a lot and find it excellent. When they came out with a GEC, I knew it would be different. And MRD was the first serial I saw. I was interested in it because of the backdrop of the revolutionary struggle for freedom of our country. I started watching it avidly. And while I was surfing on the internet to get more info about the serial, I stumbled upon IF. I joined in and the rest you know.
I always sided with my kudi because I liked her valour, her fervour, her grit and her heart of gold. And because Raj never saw her in kind light he became the Rat to me. I dont know the actors and I am not attached to them either. But I was attached to my lass and of course I had to tolerate the Rat. I grew fond of all of them ...... as characters not for their characteristics. I lamented when the storyline went adrift and bashed the buffoons from all sides. But I stayed on. It doesn't sadden me that the channel wants to take off MRD......... it offends me. What is the basis for this?
I dont know what the other serials are all about on the channel except for BV. So I took a small tour just now and was aghast !!!!
A channel like CNBC should show the following was a real shocker.
1. A serial showing a family duping another by marrying off their servant to a girl from that family?
2. A child marriage issue ............that's ok if it is showing criticism of the practice.
3. A father declaring his daughter insane because she has become an obstacle in his career?
4. A little servant girl being ill treated by the hiring family over and over again?
5. A dance show in which you have item girls swaying and which can leave you feeling awkward?
6. A man having more than one affairs?
Tell me people, why pull off a benign show like Mohe Rang De? If its not getting the TRPs at the prime slot, shift it to another slot.....we don't mind. But why yank it off?
This just shows one thing, two facedness. How is it that you want TRPs and want to show 'social issues'? Please channel directors dont take us for fools.
I love children......... and by this I dont mean in the ordinary way. In that sense, I like it when most of the adults in BV indulge Anandi. Every child is special and to show hours of child abuse on TV is in very poor taste.
I hope the channel will not show an indifference for the viewers of MRD and will treat them with respect. I am sure it wants the goodwill of this niche audience and will be gentlemanly enough to give a ear to our views.
I am sure most of you will agree with me.
Sorry, it's a long post but I had to pour my heart out.
A very upset Skep

Ok, you did it.. I have been trying to come to terms with the shock ( though Jo and I have been one of the first few who were a little aware that this might be the proverbial scape goat if a new show is to make way)
But Skep's post does it for me.. it broke me down...
Someone, please do something.
Am so sorry for being a ninny here, but I CANT take this.. not our show.. please.. any other show.. change in time slot, whatever.
I m ready to beg even. PLEASE.. I entreat.

What's wrong with these people? Why they r ending MRD. I m not against making people aware abt social vices n educating them

If Colors channel want to make people aware abt female infantice then whom they r going to make aware. I had done some research this issue few sem back. Well in areas where such evil practices r actually going on r they watching this Colors channel. First they shud check if there is electricity available in such remote villages so that they cud watch this new show "Is des me na aana laado" n became aware. Is it not a joke?????????????? Show makers earning money on showing female infanticide. If r really concerned abt male-female sex ratio then go to those places n do something for real. These show makers just following the new trend of telly world - social problem based serals. In the name of making people aware abt social vives they in fact glamorizing it n earning money. How cheap is this

how people get entertained when female in soaps r toutured n taunted? how they get entertained seeing someone crying???? Whey these soaps r actually teaching??? nothing n nothing. How many were parents of those remote villages Rajasthan, UP,MP etc have changed there decision to to marry of there under-age kids because of the teahing given by Balika Vadhu?????

What Slumdog Millainare film or shows like Uttran has actually done for slum kids. They r portraying the helplessless of these poor kids. R they doing anything more then that for them> No. Show the helpless of theirs n earn money. To me earnign reices on the helplessness of poors a shameful thing. It is not something like poverty tourism

MRD is to me is best show of Colors. well they will surely make it saas bahu soap after few weeks to earn TRP n will put social awareness in back foot.

Yes MPM Vasu,
there is a serial which comes late at night which a friend of mine told me has a man with a wife and is quite happily married to her. He also has two girlfriends on the side. Hahaha what a group. Yuck !!! In comparison, MRD is like walt disney. 😕

I really had no clue about this new serial. But Poorvi, female infanticide is an urban problem too. Well educated people living in posh localities drive their luxury cars to hospitals and get female fetus aborted.
