Raj- Kranti: shaping up like Roark-Dominique

This is what the storyline seems to be shaping into. Howard Roark and Domique (Fountainhead) were the most bitter of enemies in the public eye, and they were most attracted to each other behind the scenes.
It dint take Roark more than two meetings to get into Dominique's bed ( though she interestingly called it Rape) . Later Dominique married Keating and then Wynand, in her heart she always belongs to Roark. She publicly does everything to damage and destroy his career. But he is aware of this, and after every public battle, he goes to her house at night.

Their relationship is the benchmark. But R-K are similarly involved. NOT to that level ( he is definitely not going to her room at night right now, 😉) but eventually, I dont count that out too. Raj is mightily obsessed as of now.. even tho he doesnt know it yet. When he knows it, and starts acting on it, it wud be fun to watch.

What prompts this post- Everything. Raj's behavior, till this point.

He knows everything abt Kranti, but always hides it from the public eye. And yday, he first baited mamaji by saying he wud announce Kranti's name in the court, and then cleverly manipulated it the other way round, knowing that mamaji wud DEFINITELY fall for it, if he withheld Kranti's name. Clever Raj, very clever.

He will never let his personal battle with Kranti come into the limelight. Even if he ends up marrying Lajjo (somehow I think, he will) ; his fixation with Kranti wud continue.

Haha.. my best wishes are with RK...but I dont think they wud be getting together anytime soon.. And I often wonder, why is Raj so tolerant of Lajjo?? She is a complete imbecile.. maybe he thinks she isnt worth his attention or thoughts.. but I dont think thats the case.. sometimes he almost humors her. Is he aware of the fact that she is there to marry him? If yes, why is he condoning it?

And yes, u r right.. this is fountainhead.. suitably watered down for the Indian Audience.. 😛

....but agree he always drags kranti name in conversation...whetther she is a topic or not......😆.he is obsessed..and cant help...but we dont know anything about kranti yet so cant say anything....

....but I think too.......that somehow Raj-lajjo are gonna b together for sumtime......as fiance may b......of course Raj-kranti will end up in mundap......hopefully😊

If we say Raj is Roark, and Kranti Domnique, then Subhankar will be Gail Wyand. It will be fun seeing an Indian version of Fountainhead

But, Roark was a man of principles, here I doubt if Raj has any principles in life, a man of principles would never frame an innocent man. Second, Roark was original with his own innovative ideas, an individual who believed in his creativity.

Raj, the only thing he knows is how to please his British masters. He does not have any original ideas brewing in his mind. One cannot compare both the characters.

He knows everything about Kranti, and that is why Mama jee is behind bars and Kranti is in trouble. He knew Kranti was a krantikari, and that is why went to Mama jee's house to plant the gun. If he had no idea about Kranti, he would have never had the audacity to do so.

I think, Lajjo's chapater is coming to close, and the talk between Raj's parents are all hinting towards an alliance that they won't be pleased with. That is Raj getting married to Kranti. Bua jee might play the cupid here.

Though, all the should happen only after Raj learns his lessons very well. 😆 😆

You are right An, on many counts. And here is my take on it..

If this is the fountainhead, its there with a total role reversal.

Roark was a man of principle.. and he followed his own vision thruout. He had no fear of the world..nor a care. That was his most powerful personality trait. We have Kranti here.. morally strong, following her own vision.

Raj is like Dominique- she followed no scruples, no morality when it came to Roark. She married, twice, just to defy him.. and went against every moral fiber, just to defeat him. Even then, she could never keep herself away from him. What Raj is doing now, is exaclty what Dominique used to do.

It is early days yet, for R-K.. but the animosity, yet the awareness and Raj's efforts at keeping his interactions with Kranti out of limelight strongly suggest a RD kind of relationship, albeit, their characters are reversed.

And yes, Laajo.. while writing this post.. I forgot one important thing.. today's precap.. when the Daroga discloses lajjo's father's true identity to Raj's parents. I dont know how things wud carry on from there.. but if this one tides over in lajjo's favor, I do see a Raj lajjo alliance happening.. albeit short term.

Oh I din't knew about the story..thanks for telling it😳and yes the story does look similar😛..of course its an Indian Drama set in 1942..so I don't think it will go to that extent of love-making😆😛..

But as u said once Raj realizes this passion in his heart for wanting more of Kranti😉,then it willl b fun to see Raj's heart fighting with his mind😳...we can then expect more passion and wild desire mayb😆😛

Very apt....but very impressive too!!

I had liked the way Dawn had made the P&P comparison......and now you.........

Fountainhead......*phew*.....what a book.....

Dominique and Roark, wow....what a twisted love story, or a lovely twisted story.

The best part of their love story was the feelings of jealousy by D....acted as a motive for achieving superiority over Roark.

Here it's vice versa......It's Raj's feeling of annoyance & anger acting as a motive for achieving superiority over Kranti........

In The Fountainhead, the plot is twisted and complex.

Though I feel the one key element that stands out and adds to the intricacy of the story line is the twisted yet mutual feelings of affection and hate shared by Roark and Dominique.

We see similarities of the Hate.....the utter dislike so far......Love shall come later.......between our protaganist.

But who knows....maybe Love is walking hand in hand....without R&K knowing it!!!!

They Say.....Dominique was "the woman for a man like Howard Roark." !

I can say Kranti is the woman for a man like Raj.....purely on ego perspective........

It may be possible that Raj is jealous of Kranti and her estranged thinking manner or her innately skillful ways.........therefore causing him to continually

I hope that in this act of sacrificing, loving her country more than herself, and living in which Kranti finds happiness.....she will come out unharmed.....and happy!!!!
