DELHI... SIX MONTHS LATER...
"Gunjan, the baraat has already arrived" Ash and Suhaani came running in the room where Gunjan and Dia were busy preparing Nupur on her big day...
"Wow, that's great... Gunjan now don't forget what we have planned, you are Nupur Di's sister and main saali to Mayank Jiju... So, you should be the one to steal Jiju's shoes and don't get afraid of Jiju's friends and brothers" Dia excitedly reminded Gunjan about their plan...
"Yes Gunjan, we will be there to distract the groom side boys and you make sure to hide the shoes meantime" Suhaani encouraged Gunjan and the girls together hugged Nupur before taking her down to the altar...
*****
"Samrat, champ we have to protect Bhaai's shoes properly... The girls should not even get a chance to get anywhere near" Purab whispered in Samrat's ear while Mayank was being welcomed with the arti at his future in-laws...
"Don't worry Purab; girls can never win over Samrat Shergill" Samrat gave his best lopsided grin...
*****
Every pair of eyes in the wedding hall was staring at the stairs where two girls were guiding the beautiful bride to the altar where the handsome groom was waiting with so much love in his eyes...
But only one pair of eye was fixed on to the girl in sunshine yellow lehenga choli beside Nupur Bhabi...
"Tweety!!" Samrat wondered...
"Who's she??" Samrat asked Purab pointing towards Gunjan to verify if it was actually her...
"Oh, she's Gunjan... Nupur Bhabi's sister... She is completely studious, not your type dude... Try finding some other girl" Purab replied...
But little does ke knows any other girl won't affect Samrat when his own Tweety was present before him...
"So we meet again Tweety" Samrat chuckled in his mind... "Get ready for the surprise"...
*****
Gunjan ran upstairs hiding from all with Mayank's shoes in her hand... With Dia, Ash and Suhaani distracting Mayank Jiju's brother and his friends, she had succeeded in their plan in stealing the shoes... Now only ten thousand cash and then only Mayank Jiju would get back his precious shoes...
She entered in her room with the shoes and closed the door from inside... Now only after hiding the shoes properly and safely she will get out of her room... She didn't know that Mayank Jiju's brother Purab and his friends were really silly... Dia, Ash and Suhaani knew them from before and it was so easy for them to distract those silly boys...
"But how come Dia, Ash and Suhaani know Purab and his friends!!" Gunjan suddenly thought... "Never mind" She shrugged her thought soon... "May be they had met in some common friend's party" Anyway she was never a party type girl so had always avoided them...
Gunjan was scanning her own room trying to find an appropriate place to hide the shoes... Cupboard?? No... Under bed?? Horrible... Wardrobe?? Yes... Her eyes shined up... No one would ever imagine searching Jiju's shoes in her wardrobe...
"Bad idea Tweety" Gunjan literally jumped at the place hearing a male voice in her room and a very familiar yet unusual name...
Tweety!! Did someone just call her Tweety?? No, no, no... It can't be... Gunjan turned back slowly towards the adjacent balcony to find out the source of the voice... And there he was standing in a blue sherwani; leaning on the balcony door with folded arms observing her every antics with that mischievous smile that Gunjan has been trying to forget for the last six months...
What was he doing here?? Or was he actually there?? Or was it another of her weird dreams about him that wasn't leaving her since that Jaisalmer trip where he had pecked her cheeks... Her cheeks turned red automatically as she stood there with the shoes in her hands gawking at him...
"Where have you vanished Tweety after that day?? I've been searching for you after returning from that trip... Do you have any idea how many days I have bunked my school and actually waited outside your school?? But my bad luck... Your school is completely on another part of the city and it turned out I could never make out during your closing time"
"You!! What??" Gunjan managed to say that much...
"You heard me Tweety" Samrat gave his best mischievous smile while approaching towards Gunjan making her step back with his every step... "But no worries, now I know your address all thanks to Mayank Bhaai for marrying your sister"...
Gunjan's back hit the wardrobe... And Mayank's shoes fell from her hand...
"So were you actually planning to hide these shoes in your wardrobe??" Samrat asked picking up the shoes...
"How do you know what I was thinking??" Gunjan asked...
"It's a talent I was born with Tweety"... Came the reply...
"Can you read minds??"... She asked innocently failing to get the pun intend...
"I can read yours" Samrat replied leaning towards her... "And it's saying you badly want to snatch the shoes from my hand and run out of here"...
"That's obvious" Gunjan replied promptly and tried to snatch the shoes from Samrat's hand but he held it high making Gunjan jump on her feet to grab them...
"Give... It... Back..." Gunjan continued jumping around Samrat while the later was enjoying this...
How she could be so sweet, Samrat wondered... She was trying her level best to get the shoes from Samrat and every time she missed it was infuriating her which was amusing for Samrat...
"Ok Tweety... Time out"... Samrat grabbed her waist by the other hand... "Let's make a deal... I will return the shoes to you and you can get whatever you want from Mayank Bhaai but in return what will I get??"...
Gunjan's eyes popped wide open hearing his words... He was playing the same tricks again that he had played back then at the Jaisalmer fort... She is not gonna fall into his trap once again...
"Nothing... You will get nothing" She replied trying to free herself from Samrat... "I don't the shoes, you can keep it"...
"Ok then" Samrat left her... "Grooms won"...
"Congrats" Gunjan said and started towards the door... But the sudden fall in her voice bothered Samrat... Was she upset??
Who was he kidding?? Off course she was upset and it was clear... All the cheerfulness in her voice and gesture swept away in one moment and that was the last thing Samrat wanted to do...
"Wait Tweety"... Samrat walked up to her and blocked her way before she could open the door... "Ok I'm sorry, didn't mean to hurt you"... He confessed...
"Here take it" He handed over the shoes in her hand...
"I don't want them... You won, take them to Jiju" Gunjan handed over the shoes back to Samrat...
"There is no fun in it" He handed it back to Gunjan...
"I don't want to win like this" Gunjan returned them back again...
"I don't wanna win like this either" Samrat replied... "Something else matters more to me"...
"I'm not gonna accept any of your condition" Gunjan replied folding her arms...
"You can accept my friendship atleast"... Samrat replied with his best charming smile... "That will do"... Samrat finally held out his hands and returned the shoes to Gunjan which she accepted...
"So now that you've accepted my friendship, can we go for a coffee on next Sunday??" Samrat asked...
"Just coffee??" Gunjan asked with a smile...
"No worries there will be snacks too... Treat from my side at Cafe Coffee Treat at 4 pm" Samrat replied smiling to which Gunjan nodded with an approval...
"Don't worry, that's our little secret"... Samrat pointed towards the shoes... "Hide them in your wardrobe if you want... No one else will know" He winked at her and walked out of the room closing the door behind...
