The day of Nupur's baby shower ceremony was fixed and all were invited for that.As usual,on the auspicious day,Mayank and his family also arrived.The women who used to know Nupur and her family started gossiping about Nupur not being present during her own brother's wedding and they heard from somewhere that she fled away from her home.Gayatri heard them but didn't protest and everyone performed the ceremony nicely.After everyone left,only Mayank and his family were there and they gave Nupur and the baby many valuable gifts except Nupur.After the ceremony,Tara took Nupur to her bedroom and she even asked Mayank to stay there for sometime.Nupur and Mayank were sitting alone in Nupur's bedroom and they were not even talking with each other.Nupur was a bit curious when she didn't find Mayank bringing anything for them.Inorder to start a conversation,she asked,"Sabne kitna kuch diya par tum to baby ke papa ho,tum kuch nehi laaye?"He squeezed his brows and thought for sometime and replied,"Vo actually...main ye soch raha tha ke kya laau,kyuki pata nehi tumhe ab mera diya hua koi bhi gift pasand aayega bhi ya nehi aur baby ke liye gift isliye nehi laaya kyuki main wait kar raha hu ke baby larka hai ya larki uske baad hi main uske liye gift le aaunga."Nupur understood that Mayank was deeply hurt from inside due to everyones behaviour towards him and these words were a means of expressing sarcasm.He suddenly asked,"Kya tumne puri tarah se ye mann bana liya hai ke tum ghar waapas nehi aa rahi ho?"She remained mum as she didn't have anything to say about it.Instead,she asked,"Tumhaara kaam kaisa chal raha hai Mayank?"He smiled and replied,"Jawaab nehi dena chahti ho to mat do,I don't mind.Ha kaam abhitak shuru nehi hua,vo actually construction puri tarah se khatam nehi hua hai,paise kam par rahe hai."Nupur said,"Main sach mein hamaare rishtey ka aisa anjaam nehi chahti thi."He laughed out and replied,"Anjaam???Anjaam ki baat to tab hoti na jab sab kuch khatam ho chuka hota aur khatam tab hota agar tum pregnant nehi hoti.Hamaara baby aanewaala hai iska to yehi matlab hua hai na ke sab phir se shuru ho raha hai hamaare beech aur kabhi kuch khatam hua hi nehi tha."Nupur said,"Shuru hi kabhi nehi hua tha,kyuki hamaari shaadi to contract ki thi na.Vo to jisdin shuru hui thi hume to pata hi tha ke khatam honewaala hai."He said,"Par bhagwaan ki marzi kya thi ye to na tumhe pata tha aur naahi mujhe,tabhi to ye bachcha is duniya mein aane waala hai.Kabhi kabhi main sochta hu ken a to hum alag hai aur naahi hum saath hai to hamaari shaadi ka status kya hai?"Nupur sarcastically smiled and replied,"Facebook ki language mein its complicated."Both laugh at this and then Mayank said,"Vaise main baby ke liye aur tumhaare liye kuch bhi nehi laaya ye baat galat hai."She asked,"Matlab??"He took out a bunch of money and put it in Nupur's hand and said,"Vo company ka construction pura karne ke liye kuch paise kam par rahe the na,to uske liye kahi construction ruk na jaaye isliye main dad ke office mein kaam kar raha hu.Ye mere pehle mahine ki salary hai,shaadi ke baad sab apni salary apni wife ko dete hai.Ab chahhe facebook ke language mein kitna bhi complicated ho,par is baat ko legally koi nehi nakaar sakta hai ke hum dono husband wife hai,to isliye ye tumhaara hua.I hope isey tumhe lene mein koi problem to nehi hogi na,meri mehnat ki kamaai hai,pati nalaayak aur aalsi tha par baa paisa nehi banna chahta.Main chahta hu,mera kittu mujhpar proud feel kare.Tumhe apne liye aur baby ke liye job hi shopping karni hai na,tum in paiso se karna aur ek baar baby ko aa jaane do,phir dekhna main khilono ki line lagwa dunga ghar ke andar."Just at that moment,Payal called Mayank that they were leaving.He then got up and got ready to leave and before leaving he kissed on her forehead and then said,"I love you both!!"He then left from there alongwith his family.When Mayank left,Nupur cried on looking at the money.She lightly cared her baby bump and said,"Dekha beta tere papa tere aate hi kitne responsible ban gaye.Apni pehli kamaai teri ma ke haath mein rakh diya."She kissed on that money and hugged them.

At night,after dinner,when Nupur was sleeping,everyone were sitting in the hall.Gayatri was all total very disturbed due to the constant taunting of those women about Nupur but she did not say anything.Ashok understood that for some reasons,Gayatri was upset.He asked,"Kya hua Gayatri?Bohot pareshaan lag rahi ho,any problem?"She,was doing her work and replied,"Pareshaan hu bhi to aapko isse kya.Meri aap kabhi sunenge nehi to bekaar mein mujhse kuch bhi pucha mat kijiye."Ashok put the paper on the table and asked,"Aakhir bataaogi bhi ke kya baat hai?"Gayatri,at last said,"Aaj Nupur ki goad bharai mein aapko pata hai kya hua hai?Saari arto n pata nehi kya kya kaha Nupur ko,ke vo ghar se bhaag gayi aur pata nehi kaha thi itne mahino se.Aap kehte hai main apni beti ki parvaah nehi karti hu,parmujhe parvaah hai uski,aakhir ma hu main,janam diya hai maine usey.Mujhe bura lagta hai in sab se.Aapka kya hai,aap to office mein rehte hai,par aise taane sunne mujhe parte hai."Ashok angrily asked,"To kya karu?Ghar se nikaal du apni beti ko?Is haalat mein usko akela chor du?"Gayatri replied,"Main usey ghar se nikaalne ko kaha keh rahi hu?Arey kamsekam aap usey uske sasural to jaane dijiye.Galti akele Mayank ki nehi thi,Nupur ki bhi thi aur ye sab jaanne ke baavajud vo Nupur ko waapas le jaana chahte hai,aajkal ke zamaane mein kaun karta hai ye sab?Zinagi bhar shadi shuda beti ko ghar par to nehi bitha sakte hai na,bhejna to usey hai hi.Upar se jo uske andar pal raha hai,vo uske akele ka nehi hai,Mayank ka bhi hai,uske baare mein bhi to sochiye.Us bachche ke bhavishya ka kya hoga?Is duniya ki saari aurto ne sacrifice kiya hai,Nupur koi alag se kuch nehi kar rahi hai.Jhagre to har parivar mein hote hai aur Mayank to apni shaadi ko dusra mauka de raha hai to Nupur kyu nehi de sakti hai?Roz roz aise taane sunna mujhe bilkul bhi achcha nehi lagta hai."Tara came to them and begged,"Please mummyji chup ho jaaiye,Nupur waha kamre mein so rahi hai,agar usne ye sab sun liya to sochiye usko kaisa lagega?"Gayatri scolded her and shut her up and said,"Tum mujhe mat sikhaao Tara ke mujhe kya karna chahiye aur kya nehi.Mujhe meri beti ke liye jo thik lagega vohi karungi."Ashok couldn't believe that being a mother,Gayatri was saying all these things.He said,"Tum apne aap ko Nupur ki sagi ma kehti ho??Meri beti koi baar mein behkar nehi aayi hai jo samaaj ke dar se main usey waha chor aau jaha vo rehna nehi chahti.Vo koi garib ghar ki besahara larki nehi hai,Bhushan Textiles ke maalik,Ashok Bhushan...meri ek lauti beti hai.Main kisiki parvaah nehi karta hu,jisey jo sochna hai soche.Meri beti yahi rahegi mere paas aur uska bachcha bhi usike paas rahega."He raised his finger on her face and said,in a warning tone,"Mujhe apni izzat se kahi guna zyaada mere bachcho ki zindagi pyaari hai.Nupur to yehi rahegi aur agar tumhe apne so called society aur apni jhuti shaan ki itni hi fikar hai na to vo tumhaari problem hai.Agar Nupur ka is ghar mein rehna tumhe napasand hai,to tum ye ghar chor kar ja sakti ho.Ek aur baat,ye ghar mera hai,ye main tey karunga ke kisko is ghar mein rehna hai aur kisko nehi.Baat samajh aayi?"Gayatri again protested,"Aap meri baat ko samajh nehi rahe hai-"Just then everyone heard a sound of screaming.All looked at that direction and found Nupur was trying to stand by holding her bump with one hand and trying to support herself by holding the wall and screaming with pain.Tara said,"Maine kaha tha ke aap log aisi baate mat kijiye,mujhe lagta hai ke Nupur ne sab kuch sun liya hai."Vidit and Munna immediately held her and took her to her room as she was badly screaming in pain.Tara checked her and said,"Iska to labour pain start ho gaya hai,hume abhi isey hospital lekar jaana parega.Vidit aap gaadi nikaaliye hum Nupur ko bahaar lekar aate hai."Vidit started the car and Nupur was taken out by everyone.Only Sunaina remained at home with Ishaan and she informed the Diwan family about Nupur being taken into the hospital.

Nupur was screaming in pain and everyone were soothing her.After being taken into the hospital,the doctor checked her up and Tara informed him about her complicacy and on hearing that the doctor immediately ordered to take her inside the OT.Tara too was going with them when Ashok said,"Tara beta please meri beti aur uske bachche ko bacha lena."Tara nodded her head and assured him.After the OT's red light was put on,Ashok warned Gayatri,"Ye jo kuch bhi hua hai na uski vajah sirf tum aur tum ho.Agar tumhaari vajah se meri beti aur uske bachche ko kuch bhi hua na to mujhse bura aur koi nehi hoga aur vo tumhaare aur mere rishtey ka aakhri din hoga."By that time,even the Diwan family reached the hospital.Maadhvi asked,"Abhi to uska 8 va mahina hi shuru hua tha phir achaanak se labour pain kaise start ho gaya?"No one could reply but Gayatri said,"Pata nehi kya hua.Doctor bol rahe the ke bohot complicated haalat hai Nupur ki."On hearing that,Mayank immediately went to the temple of the hospital and prayed to the God's idol there.He joined his hands and said,"Bhagwaanji,please meri Nupur aur mere bete ko bacha lo.Achcha thik hai,beta na sahi beti hi de dena koi problem nehi hai,par please meri biwi aur bachche ko bacha lo.Main nehi reh sakta hu kisi ek ke bina.Please God!!"After 2 hours,Tara came out and looked at everyones face and asked,"Aap log sab itne pareshaan kyu hai?"Mayank held her hands and asked,"Kya hua andar?"Tara laughed and replied,"Ghabraane waali koi baat nehi hai khush khabri hai.Nupur bhi thik hai aur baby bhi bilkul healthy paida hua hai."Everyone were overjoyed and hugged each other and then Mayank asked,"Kya hua beta ya beti?"Tara replied,"Beta hua hai aur vo bhi bohot khubsurat."Mayank was so happy that his happiness had no limits and he hugged Payal and said to her,"Dekha bhabhi main kehta tha na ke mujhe beta hi hoga aur dekha vo mere jaisa handsome hai."Maadhvi asked,"Kya hum Nupur aur baby se mil sakte hai?"Tara said,"Ha bilkul par abhi Nupur se nehi,aap baby se mil sakte hai,nurse usey wash karaane le gayi hai."After the nurse came with the baby,everyone wanted to take him in their arms but at first,Mayank got hold of the boy and said,"Main baby ka dada hu,pehle main lunga."The nurse gave him the baby and Mayank took him in his arms and everyone looked at the boy.Maadhvi said,"Haaye mera pota,kitna pyaara hai,bilkul mere Mayank par gaya hai."Mayank replied,"Nehi iski aakhe iski ma jaisi hai.Hai na beta?"He kissed on his forehead.Gayatri then took the baby from him and said,"Papa ne dekh liya na ab naani ki baari hai.Oho!!Kitna pyaara baby hai,bilkul meri beti jaisi.Main to khush zyaada is baat par hu ke 8 ve mahine mein paida hone ke baad bhi vo bilkul thik hai."Everyone took the baby one by one and pampered him.At last Tara said,"Aha abhi ho gaya,baby ko abhi sabse zyaada uske ma se milwaana zaruri hai varna vo kya sochega ke sabse mil liya par apni mamma ko abhi tak dekha hi nehi."Tara asked the nurse to take the baby to Nupur now.

After sometime,Nupur was shifted to the general ward.When the doctor allowed her to meet with everyone,all went to her room.She was lying down on the bed and was seeing everybody.She said to Ashok,"Papa mera baby kaha hai?Larka hai ya larki?"Ashok and everyone were surprised.Tara asked,"Kya tumhe abhi tak baby ko dikhaya nehi gaya?"She immediately called the nurse and asked her to bring her baby and then Tara said to Nupur,"Arey Nupur tumhe beta hua hai aur vo bhi bohot cute sa."Nupur was very happy to hear that and said,"Mujhe mere bete ko dekhna hai."The nurse brought the baby to her and she took him in her arms and kissed him.She had tears in her eyes seeing her son as she never thought that one day,she would see this day too.She said to Ashok,"Papa ye dekho mera beta...mera beta papa."He patted on her head and said,"Ha tera beta.Abhi tu thori der araam kar,Tara yahi hai."He said to everyone,"Mujhe lagta hai ab hume chalna chahiye aur Nupur ko araam karne dena chahiye."Everyone agreed to them and then left from there.While Nupur was taking rest,after everyone left,in her sleep,she heard someone talking in her room.When she opened her eyes,she found,Mayank was sitting on the sofa in front of the baby cradle and was talking with the baby.Both the father and the son were not sleeping.He said,"Main na bachpan se bohot shararti tha hamesha mom ko sataata tha,tum bhi bilkul vaisa hi banna aur phir hum dono milkar mamma ko sataayenge ha.Mamma ko ek bhi raat hum sone nehi denge.Tum jab bare ho jaaoge main tumhaare liye video games banaaunga aur hum dono khelenge."The baby made a moaning sound and then Mayank said,"Jaise main school se bohot achcha football khelta that um bhi meri tarah apne school aour college ka best footballer banna ok."The baby again moaned and Mayank said,"Oh so you too love football,maine suna hai,mamma ke andar bohot kicking practice ki hai tumne.Don't worry ek baar bare ho jaao,main khud tumhe coaching dunga.Well abhi so jaao,baaki baate hum dono kal subhe karenge.Hamaare beech ki baate mamma ko mat bataana.Its a secret between you and dadda."Mayank patted the baby and seeing this Nupur was so amused that she didn't disturb them and fall asleep.
