Everyone took special care of Nupur.No one in the house allowed her to do any work.In the party,even Nupur's family was invited.In front of everyone,Maanav and Suhaasini shared the good news of Nupur being pregnant.Everyone were happy and congratulated them.Suhaasini came to Gayatri and said,"Gayatriji mubaarak ho aap naani bannewaali hai."Gayatri said,"Aapko bhi aap bhi to daadi bannewaali hai."Maanav said,"Aaj main bohot khush hu,ke ab mera Mayank bhi baap bannewaala hai.Main to chahta hu ke jald se jald mera pota ya poti is dunia mein aa jaaye aur main uske saath khelu."Rajshekhar said,"Ha abto tujhe jaldi hogi hi."Suhaasini said to Nupur,"Nupur beta,ek kaam karo tum beth jaao.Aise time par zyaada der khare nehi rehte hai.Kal tumhe check up ke liye bhi to jaana hai na."Nupur said,"Tabse to bethi hui hi hu na ma,koi mujhe khara rehne hi nehi deta."Mayank said,"Ha main ye tumhaare liye nehi apni beti ke liye kar raha hu.Mujhe tumhaari koi parvaah nehi hai by the way."Nupur made a face and said,"Dekho na ma."Suhaasini scolded Mayank and said,"Ae khabardaar agar meri bachchi ko pareshaan kiya to ja lekar ja usko kamre mein vaise bhi bohot late bhi ho chuka hai,main abhi khana bhijwaati hu.Usey khilakar phir aana yaha."Nupur said,"Par ma mujhe yehi sabke saath rehna hai."Gayatri said,"Suhaasiniji thik keh rahi hai,ab waqt par khaana aur nennd bohot zaruri hai."Nupur was very surprised when she heard the words of concern from Gayatri's mouth,but then she realized that these are all for the to-be-born baby.Mayank then took her inside the bedroom.
Nupur changed into night robes.Mayank brought food for her.He sat in front of her and said,"Dekha aaj mummyji ne bhi tumse kitne pyar se baat ki.Bachche hote hi aise hai,sabko jor kar rakhte hai."Nupur said,"Unko meri parvaah nehi hai Mayank,unko bachche ki parvaah hai."Mayank said,"Bachcha bhi to tumhaara hi hai na."Nupur was about to say something,but Mayank stopped her and said,"Abhi chupchap khaana khaao aur phir so jaao aur sochna bandh karo."Nupur smiled and agreed.She had her dinner and prepared to sleep.After that,Mayank left for the party outside.After the dinner,when Mayank returned to their room,he found Nupur was still awake and was standing on front of the window.Mayank hugged her from the back which startled her.He asked,"Abhitak soyi nehi?"She replied,"Neend nehi aa rahi thi Mayank.Soch rahi thi,meri zindagi pehle kya hua karti thi aur ab dekho kaisi ho gayi hai.Kabhi ek khushhaal zindagi ke bare mein maine socha tak nehi aur aaj,main ma banne waali hu,mera ek baby aayega jo mujhe mamma bulaayega.Iam so excited.Mujhe to abhi bhi yakeen nehi ho raha hai ke mere andar ek jaan pal rahi hai."Mayank smiled and said,"Aisa pehli baar hota hai,but don't worry sab thik ho jaayega aur maine kitni baar kaha hai ke beeti baatein sochna chordo aur aagey ke baare mein socho.Hamaari zindagi mein dher saari khushiya aanewaali hai Nupur ye to socho."He picked her up in his arms and took her to the bed and made her lie down.He lied down beside her and said,"Tum bas hamaare aanewaale bachche ke bare mein socho."Nupur smiled and asked,"Achcha??Ye to bolo ke tumhe kya chahiye beta ya beti??"Mayank replied,"Mmm...Beta chahiye bilkul mere jaisa aur main na usey apni tarah smart and dashing and handsome banaaunga."Nupur asked,"Aur beti hui to?"Mayank replied,"No problem,usey main bohot bohot bohot spoil karunga itna ke tumhaare naak mein vo dam karke rakkhe."Nupur narrowed her eyes and said,"Achcha???"She pulled her pillow and started beating Mayank with that.He,in order to save himself said,"Arey arey arey main to mazaak kar raha tha."Nupur said,"Mera beta ho ya beti main usko chahe kaisa bhi banaau par tumhe usey spoil karne bilkul nehi dungi."Mayank joined his hand in front of her and said,"Jo hukum mere honewaale bachche ki ma."Nupur laughed.Mayank replied,"Vaise na Nupur mujhe ek pyaari si cute si baby Nupur chahiye sahi mein."Nupur said,"Aur mujhe ek Mayank."Both smiled and hugged each other.
Next day,Mayank took Nupur for check up.The doctor checked her up properly and said,"Mr Sharma vaise to aapki wife ki pregnancy mein koi complications nehi hai,lekin inka BP bohot high hai aut ye achchi baat nehi hai.Aapko jo maine medicines di thi vo aap time par le to rahi hai na?"Nupur replied,"Ji doctor."The doctor said,"Dekhye Mrs Sharma pehli pregnancy mein aisa tension hota hai par utna bhi ghabraanewaali baat nehi hai.Aap relax rahiye aur Mr Sharma aap jitna ho sake inhe khush rakkhiye."Mayank said,"Ji doctor main in baato ka pura khayaal rakhne ki koshish karunga."The doctor prescribed some more medicines and then they both left.
On reaching home,Mayank informed everyone what the doctor said.Suhaasini said,"Mujhe pata tha doctor bhi bilkul aisa hi bolengi kyuki Nupur tension bohot leti hai,isliye maine tey kiya hai ke Nupur ki delivery tak vo yehi rahegi kyuki Mumbai mein Nupur akeli hogi aur akele dimaag mein ajeeb ajeeb saare khayaal aate rehte hai."Mayank said,"Ji ma aapne bilkul sahi kaha hai aur vaise bhi maine pehle hi tey kiya tha ke main Nupur ko is baar apne saath lekar nehi jaaunga."Suhaasini said,"Vaise hamaare khaandaan ka ek riwaaj hai ke bahu ka pehla bachcha uski maayke mein hota hai.Isliye Nupur ka pehla bachcha bhi uske maayke mein hoga."On hearing this,Nupur's heart made a loud bump.He grabbed Mayank's finger.Mayank looked at her and blinked his eyes.He said,"Ma jab Saloni bhabhi pregnant thi,to aapne hi kaha tha ke aap sab vohi karenge jisse unhe khushi miley.Nupur yehi rehna chahti hai ma,usey yaha se kahi nehi jaana please aap usko uske maayke mat bhejiye."Nupur said,"Ha ma mujhe yehi rehna hai,please mujhe us ghar mein nehi jaana."Suhaasini said,"Par beta ye is ghar ka riwaaj hai.Mere time par Aditya,Saloni aur Mala sabka pehla bachcha unke maayke mein hi hua hai."Nupur understood that the rituals of the family were strictly followed and so she stopped arguing with everyone.
Nupur was cleaning the bed of her bedroom when Mayank came to her.On seeing him,she said,"Please Mayank ma se baat karo na mujhe nehi jaana hai us ghar mein.Main jaanti hu agar main waha gayi na to vo log waapas se mere saath vaise hi bartaav karna shuru kar denge.Agar ma mujhe aise kehti ke mujhe jaana hai to main kuch nehi bolti par yaha baat mere bachche ki hai,main apne bachche ko us ghar mein janam hargiz nehi dungi.Bilkulmbhi nehi."Mayank said,"Nupur ye hamaara bachcha hai,vo log tumhaare saath aisa kuch nehi karenge jisse ki hamaare bachche ko nuksaan pohche.Maan jaao ma ki baat.Agar tumhe waha koi bhi problem hui to tum mujhe phone karke bolna,main tumhe le aaunga vaha se."Nupur half mindedly agreed.It was decided that Mayank will leave Nupur to her home and will directly go to the airport for Mumbai.
On the appointed day,Mayank took Nupur to her paternal home.Everyone welcomed them.Disha said,"Aaja Nupur,hum dono milkar na ek dusre ka khayaal rakkhenge aur apne apne baby kanaam bhi sochenge."Nupur gave a fade smile.Mayank said,"Dekhiye na Disha bhabhi tabse ghabraaye ja rahi hai."Disha said,"Pehli pregnancy mein aisa hota hai.Don't worry,mujhe bhi thori thori hoti hai."Gayatri said,"Mayank beta tum fikar mat karo.Nupur aur tumhaare honewaale bete ko kuch nehi hoga."Mayank said,"Beta kisko chahiye,mujhe to beti chahiye.Betiyan hi apne ma baap ka khayaal rakhti hai.Mujhe pura yakeen hai,mere ghar mein choti Nupur hi aayegi aur doctor ne kaha hai ke Nupur ki BP bohot high hai jo achchi baat nehi hai,isiliye usko hamesha relaxed rehne ko kaha hai."All the BF became a bit embarrassed.After talking for sometime,Mayank took leave.Before leaving,Mayank promised that he would come to her immediately when she calls him.
Mayank left for Mumbai on the next day.Days passed by and Nupur's fear of her family increased day by day.Every moment,she was scared that something might happen to her.Except Disha and Uday,everyone behaved as usual with her.Gayatri never allowed Nupur to sit idle and take rest.She called Nupur to cook the food.Disha said,"Mummyji,aap usse kaam kyu kara rahi hai,aapko pata hai na Mayank ne kaha tha ke uska BP high hai."Gayatri said,"Thora kaam karegi apna haath per chalaayegi to uski tabiyat bhi thik rahegi.Aise hi chupchap bethe rehne se susti aa jaati hai.Maine aur Naina ne to apne pregnancy ke aakhri time par bhi saare kaam kiye the,tum aajkal ki larkiya pata nehi kis mitti ki bani hui ho,kuch hota nehi pighal jaati ho."Disha said,"Kaisi ma hai aap?Main kaam karti hu kyuki main is ghar ki bahu hu,par Nupur kisi aur ke ghar ki bahu hai,agar usey aur uske bachche ko kuch bhi hua to vo log aapko maaf nehi karenge."Gayatri said,"Teen teen bachche jane hai maine,ab tu mujhe mat sikha ke honewaali ma ke liye kya sahi hai aur kya galat."Disha said,"Isse achcha hai ke Nupur waapas apne sasuraal chali jaaye,waha uska khayaal rakhne ke liye bohot saare log hai.Kamsekam us ghar mein insaan to baste hai,yaha ke jaise insaan ke khaal mein jaanwaar nehi."Gayatri became very furious on hearing this.She went to her and slapped Disha.Nupur screamed,"Bhabhi!!!"Gayatri said,"Hamesha jo muh mein aata hai bolti jaati hai,kabhi kuch kehti nehi hu iska matlab ye nehi hai ke hamesha main sunti rahungi.Bohot zabaan chalne lagi hai teri.Bahu hai ti bahu ke tarah hi reh."For Nupur,the scene was becoming an intolerable one for her nerves.She walked to her mother and said,"Ma...please,bhabhi ko chor do,vo ma banne waali hai."Gayatri said,"Ab agar tune apni zabaan kholi to mujhse bura koi nehi hoga."Nupur could neither scream nor cry but she could understand that she was feeling very ill.Her nerves could not tolerate anymore and she suddenly screamed holding her stomach.She dashed down on the ground and screamed,"Mayank!!!Bhabhi!!!"Gayatri,Disha,Naina everyone came to her.Nupur said,"Bhabhi mere pet mein bohot dard ho raha hai,mujhse ye dard bardaasht nehi ho raha hai.Please mere bachche ko bachaao bhabhi.Mere Mayank ko bulaao."Disha said,"Tu fikar mat kar,kuch nehi hoga tum dono ko."Disha called the servants and ordered them to ask the drivers to start the car,as Nupur was needed to go to the hospital.
Next day,when Mayank got up in the morning,at first he kissed Nupur's photo and said,"Jaldi jaldi tum aur mera baby mere paas aa jaao,mujhe ab aur bardaasht nehi ho raha hai."At that moment,Uday called Mayank.The convo :-
M :- "Hullo Uday bhaiya.Kaisi hai meri Nupur aur mera baby?
U :- "Tu yaha jitni jaldi ho sake aaja Mayank."
Mayank became a bit confused and worried.
M :- "Bhaiya aap bohot pareshaan lag rahe hai.Boliye na kya hua?"
U :- "Bohot kuch ho gaya hai yahapar Mayank tu please jaldi aaja."
Mayank understood that something big had happened.
M :- "Please bhaiya mujhe saaf saaf sab kuch boliye.Kahi Nupur ya mere bachche ko..."
U :- (took sometime) "Nupur ka...Nupur ka..."
M :- "Kya hua Nupur ko?"
U :- "Nupur ka...Nupur ka miscarriage ho gaya hai Mayank.Uska bachcha gir gaya."
The phone fall from Mayank's hand.That news was enough for him to break down mentally.Tears fall down from Mayank's eyes.
