Character Sketch,Family Introduction & Prologue
CHAPTER - 1
Everyone were extremely happy on having a daughter in the family.Arvind immediately went to Mayank and took the baby from his arms and said,"Tune dekh liya na ab meri baari hai."He kissed on the baby's forehead and said,"Baby main aapka dada hu aur..."He took her to Maadhvi and said,"Ye tumhaari daadi."Anjali said,"Bohot ho gaya ab meri baari hai papaji."She took the baby from his hand and pampered her and said,"Main aapki bari mamma hu beta aur..."She pointed to Dhruv and said,"Ye aapke budhdhu bare papa."Dhruv was angry on being introduced like that.He made a face and said,"That's not done Anjali,tum bachchi ke saamne is tarah se mujhe address nehi kar sakti."Anjali looked at him and said,"Shut up!"Mayank said,"Ho gaya sabka time khatam,abhi saare niklo mere ghar se mujhe abhi iske saath khelna hai."Maadhvi scolded him and said,"Oh God Mayank bachcho jaisi harkate bandh kar!Abhi abhi to paida hui hai,thora sabr to rakkho.Laao mujhe do."Dhruv said,"Nehi abhi meri baari hai,maine hi abhi tak nehi liya hai baby ko."Mayank said,"No main apni beti kisiko nehi dunga.Hargiz nehi!"Dhruv said,"Main bhi kuch lagta hu iska."Maadhvi said,"Nehi main iski daadi hu."Everyone started fighting to pick up the baby in his/her arms,but Mayank was not at all ready to give her to anyone.Hearing all those shouts,the baby got disturbed and she cried out.Mayank and others started to cool her down by telling her soothing words and were also blaming each other and in that manner,they created noise more than before.So instead of becoming quiet,the baby cried more.Nupur was all the time sitting quietly and watching everyone and now on seeing everything she was neither able to stop them nor was able to see everyone cry.She looked helplessly towards Shanti and said,"Daadi..."Shanti assured her and then interfered in the middle.She yelled,"Bas!Bohot ho gaya!"Everyone looked at her.She said,"Sharam nehi aati,bachche ko dekhte hi saare ke saare bachche ban gaye hai.Main maanti hu pehli beti hai,isliye excited ho par kamsekam is baat ka to lihaaz karo ke bachchi abhi abhi is duniya mein aayi hai,tum log isse jab jee chahe khel sakte ho par abhi isey sabse zyaada apni ma ki zarurat hai.Uff!"She took the bay from Mayank's hand and said,"Bachchi ko bhukh lagi hogi aur bajaaye iske ke usey Nupur ko do tum sab shuru ho gaye aur vaise bhi apni bachchi ki shakal khud uski ma ne hi nehi dekhi hai."She gave the baby to Nupur and asked everyone to go out as the baby is needed to be fed.
When everyone came out,Abhay and Shlok returned from school.Anjali informed them that Nupur brought a little sister for them.Both excitedly was about to run to Nupur but Anjali stopped them and said,"Bilkul apne baap jaise ghatiya hote ja rahe ho dono.Itni choti baby hai aur tum log abhi abhi bahar se aaye ho,baby ko infection ho jaayega.Dono jaao aur achche se naha kar aao phir apni choti sister se mil lena."They agreed to and then followed their mother's instructions.Dhruv asked,"Tum hamesha har jagah par meri insult kyu karte ho?"Anjali replied,"Kyuki tum usi laayak ho."The kids returned within sometime after having a bath and before allowing them to go to Nupur's room,Anjali warned them not to touch the baby.Anjali and everyone went inside and then both the boys screamed,"Choti mamma!"Nupur looked at them with a jerk and then gave a smile.Shlok said,"Mamma ne kaha ke aap hamaare liye ek choti sister laaye ho,hum usey dekhne aaye hai."Both the brothers pampered their sister.At that moment,Shanti arrived with a prayer dish.She said,"Sab hato pehle apne ghar ki is nayi lakshmi ki aarti to utaarlu."She blessed both the mother and the daughter and then said,"Bhagwaan tum dono ki har musibat se raksha kare."Shanti said to Arvind,"Ja tu jaakar mere taraf se har mandir aur har NGO aur anaathaashram mein 1-1 lakh rupiyo ka onation de aa aur sabse kehna ke apna dher saara aashirwaad meri parpoti ko de aur Ashok ko bhi phone karke khushkhabri de dena."Nupur kissed on her daughter's cheeks.
[ FEW DAYS LATER]
Nupur and Mayank's daughter's naming ceremony was organized.Shanti said,"Bachchi hamaare ghar mein khushi bankar aayi hai,to aajse iska naam hoga KHUSHI."Mayank made a face and said,"Khushi Mayank Sharma...Kitna ganda sound karta hai daadi.Nehi nehi ye naam main nehi dunga apni beti ko."Dhruv said,"Yes daadi ye naam bohot ajeeb hai.SUHAANA!Ye kaisa hai?"Anjali made a face and said,"Tum aur tumhaare naam!Bilkul nehi!Aisa lagta hai bachchi ka nehi koi 30 saal ki aurat ka naam rakh rahe ho.Bachcho ka naam thora cute sa,jise sunte hi chehre par smile aa jaaye aisa hona chahiye."Maadhvi and Arvind both agreed with Anjali.At that time,Shlok and Abhay both together uttered,"MUSKAAN!"Everyone looked at them.Shlok said,"Abhi mamma ne kaha na aisa naam jisey sunte hi sabke chehre par smile aa jaaye,isiliye Muskaan.Kaisa hai?"Everyone had a smile on their face and Nupur said,"Bilkul achcha aur sahi naam rakkha hai mere bachcho ne apni behen ka.Dekho kaise ye naam sunke hi sabke chehre mein smile aa gayi."Mayank said,"Bohot achcha naam hai.Muskaan Mayank Sharma.Sound bhi bohot achcha karta hai."Shanti said,"Thik hai to aaj se ye hogi hum sab ki laadli MUSKAAN."The baby gave a sweet smile.
[ FEW MONTHS LATER ]
Shanti was overwhelmed on getting a grand daughter that she presented her a golden caught and many expensive gifts.All the other members of the family also gave her many things.Nupur and Anjali were making dinner arrangements.When they were arranging the plates,Anjali asked,"Ye Mayank kaha hai?"Nupur replied,"Kahi khel raha hoga Muskaan ke saath.Office se aate hi bas shuru ho jaata hai aur Muskaan bhi jaise hi ghari mein 7 bajte hai,uska uchalna shuru ho jaata hai.Apne baap ko dekh kar jitna khush hoti hai,utna to mujhe dekh kar bhi nehi hoti.Aur Mayank to bas...uska bas chale to saare kaam chorkar bas Muskaan ke saath hi para rahega aur pata hai didi agar Muskaan koi goad mein lekar thora sa bhi pamper kare to vo bohot gussa hoti hai aur agar Mayank usey jitna chahe pamper kare,vo araam se beth kar uska maza leti hai.Sach mein didi agar aap Mayank ke pyar karne ka style dekhogi na to aapko irritation hona shuru ho jaayega."Anjali kept on laughing and then said,"Arey Nupur samjha kar pehla pehla baap bana hai aur Mayank kya Dhruv koi kam karta hai kya usko pamper.After all 7 generation ke baad pehli beti aayi hai ghar mein aur daadi to hamesha kehti hai beti ki bidaai swarg jaane ka raasta hoti hai,jis ghar mein beti aati hai,us ghar mein barkat hoti hai aur hamaari Muskaan to hai hi ghar ki lakshmi."Nupur called everyone for dinner.Shanti asked,"Muskaan ko dudh pila diya Nupur?"She replied,"Thori der baad pilaake ek baar mein hi sula dungi daadi."Shanti said,"Thik hai.Vaise Mayank kaha hai?"At that moment,everyone heard Mayank's voice.When everyone turned at that side,they found that the father-daughter were having crawling competition.Mayank was crawling on his knees and Muskaan was crawling in between the gap of his both hands and knees.Nupur asked,"Ye kya ho raha hai Mayank?"He replied,"Competition ho raha hai hum dono ke beech mein aur dekhna yehi jeetegi bohot tez bhaagti hai jaise main football ko lekar bhaagta tha college mein."She replied,"Tabhi ye mujhe itna laath maarti thi janam se pehle."He proudly replied,"Aakhir beti kiski hai!"He slowed down a bit and allowed Muskaan to go forward and everyone clapped.Mayank said,"Yeaaa!Meri Muskaan jeet gayi!"Muskaan didn't understand but she clapped with them with a cheering sound.Nupur tried to pick her up in her arms but Muskaan made a disturbing sound and removed her hand.Mayank picked her up and then said,"Dekha meri beti tumse zyaada mujhse pyar karti hai."He went to the dining table and made her sit on the centre table.Shanti said,"Ek baar hamaari Muskaan bari ho jaaye to vo yehi bethke sabke saath khaayegi."Nupur after everyone had dinner took Muskaan inside her bedroom and fed her.At night,while Muskaan was sleeping,Nupur said,"Jabse Muskaan aayi hai,tum mujhe bohot ignore karne lage ho.Shaadi se pehle jaise mere aagey peeche ghuma karte the vaise ab pyar nehi karte."Mayank gave a wicked smile and asked,"Tumhe jalan ho rahi hai?"She replied,"Kabhi kabhi to hoti hai."Mayank teasingly said,"To chalo guest room mein chalte hai,vaha tumhaari saari jalan dur kar dunga."Nupur said,"Bilkul nehi...Apne armaano par kaabu rakkho aur so jaao."Mayank made a face and said,"Khud hi bolti hai aur khud hi manaa karti hai.Huh!Isse achchi to meri Muskaan hai.Chahe jitna bhi pyar karu vo kabhi manaa nehi karti."Nupur gave a smile and lied down and Mayank too closed his eyes by hugging Muskaan.
