RIVER IN MY DESERT

"the dark weather outside my bedroom is definitely better than the darkness in my life"he thought...my life is like a desert..i m lonely wihout my family..without my friends..without my love..my CHASHMISH!

Teardrops from his eyes fell on the dupatta which he was holding of his chashmish

"kyun mujhe chodke chali gayi tum jaan?""tumne mujhe akela kaise chod diya gunjan?""tum morena chali gayi ,kabhi socha mera kya hoga?"

"meri kya galti he,mein shaadi ke liye tayyar nahi hu chashmish,wo bhi itne jaldi..mein hamari relationship mere parents k tarah nahi banana chahta chashmish..tum samajhti kyun nahi"...

then he remembered all the times he had spent with gunjan..eating ice cream,dancing with her,holding her close to him,caring for her,protecting her...

"nahi...mein aise apni chashmish ko kho nahi sakta...mujhe usse jaake mananahi padega..agar mujhe chashmish ke pass rehna hai toh yehi sahi..uske liye mein shaadi bhi karne ke liye raazi hu"

MEIN APNE CHASHMISH KO WAPAS LAUNGA

next day in morena

"mujhe pata hai chashmish kaha hogi"said samrat happily as he got down from the train.."wo zaroor wahi fields mein hogi jaha ham pehli baar morena mein mile the"

"kyun samrat tumne aisa kyun kia?"she cried.."tum toh jaante ho k mein tumse kitna pyaar karti hu..mein tumse kabhi dur nahi rehsakti..din raat sirf tumhare baare mein sochti rehti hu..tumne thikse khaya..hikse apna khayal rakha..tunhe kuch takleef toh nahi hui...tum kaise nahi samajh sakte ki shaadi ek ladki k liye kitni mayni rakhti hai.."

"tum apne chashmish ko kabhi samajh nahi paye samrat"she cried...

samrat on the other side reached the fields..

there he saw a girl sitting on the grass...her back was facing his front and she was wearing churidaar..

suddenly a smile appeared on his face as he understood hat she is his cahshmish..he became so happy as after so many days he was again going to see her angelic smile,hear her sweet voice,he was going to ge her back..

he came close to her and whispered"Chashmish"

to this she turned around and found him besides her..without wasting any time she hugged him tightly and started crying..

"chashnish mat roo..mein tumhare pass hi hu..tumhara samrat"saying this he cupped her face,but she let him go with a jerk..

"samrat tum yaha kya karne aaye ho"she asked hiding her tears

"chashmish mein tumhe lene aaya hu,plz mumbai wapas chalo,mein waha jee nahi paa raha hu tumhare bina..i cant live without you anymore-..."

"samrat plzz mein kuch nahi sunna chahti hu...tum mujhse haadi nahi karna chahte ho..tum kya chahte ho..ham live-in relationship mein rahenge???"she shouted

"chashmish tum puri baat toh suno..listen to me..let me complete-"

"mein kuch nahi sunna chahti hu..tum chale jao yahase-"she cried

"tum mujhse pyaar nahi karti ho chashmish,mujhe miss nahi karti ho,meri parva nahi karti ho...tumtoh mujhe baat bhi nahi karne de rahi ho..."

"mein tumse bohot pyaar karta hu..aur tumhare bina nahi reh sakta..plz try to understand mein kya kehna chahta hu..."

hearing this gunjan started crying and without saying another word she ran away without even glancing back..

samrat was hurt,his wound had increased,his heart had been stabbed so hard..he could not have taken the pain..he started crying and the longing for his chashmish increased..left with no other option he returned to mumbai broken hearted

I cry for the times that you were almost mine.
I cry for the memories I've left behind.
I cry for the pain, the lost, the old, the new.
I cry for the times I thought I had you.

"life has been so cruel to me"he thought",jab wo mere zindagi mein aayi,tab sab kuch kitna suhaana lagne laga,so beautiful,she taught me how to live life,she taught me how to care for others,she cared for me,loved me,i am all hers...but what happened then...i myself snatched my life away from me,i hurt her,she loved me and i refused her proposal"again tear drops fall on the picture of gunjan he was holding..

"mein tumse abb door nahi reh sakta chashmish,u r my life..meri zindagi ho tum,meri dhadkan ho tum...plz meri jaan mujhe wapas lauta do bhagwan..."he said in frustration

2 days had passed since he had returned from morena..

suddenly as he was staring outside the window and curing himself for his mistakes..thunder started and it started raining heavily...the rain was pounding against his windows..

...

Samrat was sitting in the hall,on his sofa holding his head and breaking now and then thinking about gunjan

"i love you chashmish"he whispered tired"plz wapas aajao..come back"he said closing his eyes

suddenly there was a knock on he door

"iss waqt kaun ho sakta hai"he said and went to open the door

He opened the door..and was almost about to scream seeing his angel standing in front of him

"chashmish tum,yaha..aur wo bhi itne raat gaye..tum morena se kab lauti-"

Before he could complete his sentence she threw herself upon him..and hugged him tightly..he also hugged her with equal force..

after some time which felt like eernity,they both left hol of each other.

"kitne sawaal puchte ho tum samrat..huh..jo train mili usse pakad ke aagayi"she cried and smiled

"mein yaha nahi aa sakti kya?..mere samrat ke pass.."

hearing this samrat almost started crying"chashmish wo mein-"

"plz samrat aaj mujhe mat roko..mujhe kehene do..i m really sorry ki mein tumhe aise chodke chali gayi,mein samajh hi nahi paayi mere samrat ko..meri galti hi k maine tumhe shaadi ke liye force kiya..tumhe puchna zarooi bhi nahi samjha,aur tumpe ilzaam lagati gayi..par abb mein samajh gayi hu samrat..mein tumhare bina nahi reh sakti,mujhe koi problem nahi hai agar tum abhi shaadi nahi karna chahte toh..mein intezaar karugi..aur hamesha tumhare saath rahungi..wapas kabhi nahi jaungi"

"chashmish"samrat said cupping her face"mein tumse bilkul bhi door nahi reh sakta,inn dino mujhe uska ehsaas hua hai,mein shaadi sirf isliye nahi karna chahta tha kyunki mujhe hamari relationship mere parents k tarah nahi banani thi..par abb mein jaan gaya hu k mein kya chahta hu.."

saying this he bent down on his knees and said"will you marry me chashmish?"

hearing this she was shocked"samrat,mein tumhe force nahi kar rahi hu...par ha mein bass itna kehna chahti hu ki sabka relationship umhare parents jaise nahi hota..nme kuch problems hue honge iske wajase unme daraare aa gayi..par plz tum mere dabao mein akar mujhse shaadi mat karna"

"chashmish"he said"U r like a RIVER IN MY DESERT..tumhare aane se pehle mein khudko kabhi achi tarah se sambhal nahi paaya..tumne mujhe sikhaya hai kaise jeete hai..and i feel complete when i m with you..mujhe subah sabse pehle tumhara chehra dekhna hai..tumhe sharmate hue dekhna hai,umhare pass rehna hai..hamesha..forever"

"will you marry me now?"

"r u sure Mr Samrat Shergill".."baad mein pachtana padega?"she teased him and blushed

"agar tumhe aise lagta hai k tumhare pass rehne se mein pachtaunga..toh yehi sahi..mein pachtana chaha hu".."aur waise mujhe tumhe tang karnke aur chances mill jayenge..kyun?he winke

she blushed harddd and said"yesss...i will marry you"

And they hugged each other

samrat said"shayad bhagwaan bhi nahi chahte ke ham kabhi alag ho chashmish..thats why it is raining heavily in the desert today in the form of blessings..

saying this he puled her closer to him and gave her a peck on her cheek...she blushed hard and hugged him

he smiled..a contented one..a complete smile of satisfaction and full of happiness
