MN House

"kya...tumne mujhe bataya kyun nahin?" nupur screamed at mayank.

"main bhool gaya nupur. Sorry, par koi baat nahin . abhi aa tho gaye na."

"bhool gaya matlab?"

"I forgot. Jab kal raat ko wapas aaya tho..." he shook his head trying to clear ly remember why he had forgotten to tell her that he had invited all their friends for dinner that evening.

"By GOD mayank,tum mujhe itna important cheez kaise nahin bata sakthe?"

"tumhari galathi hain nupur. Hum kuch na kuch kar rahethe na... Kal raat se tum meri saamne ho aur mujhe kuch samaj mein nahin aaraha hain..."

He stopped hearing someone giggle. Both turned to see the rest of the gang still standing in front of the door. It was suhaani who had giggled.

The whole gang had turned up in the evening in front of the house and found the door open and both mayank and nupur sleeping in each others arms on the cane sofa . none of them knew what to do.

"ab kya karenge?" " ghar wapas chale" " nahin, dids maynk achha khaana banataha hain."shut up dodo." Par abh kya kare?" sigh. "dekhona , kitne cute lagrahe hai dono. Aisa lagtha hain ki dono ke elawa aur koi nahin hain duniya main."

All of them stared at the couple , sleeping peacefully .

Finally , adhiraj called up mayanks phone and woke them up. Both of them had been arguing since then with the gang still outside .

Suhaani s giggle broke the silence in the gang. All of them started laughing, clutching each other for support.

"abhi kya andher aasakthe hai ya nahin?" adhiraj asked but walked inside without waiting for an answer towards the sofa. Uday beat him to it still laughing and stretched his legs .

"kya kar rahe ho uday?"

"main yeh dekhne ki koshish kar raha tha ki is small sofe pe yeh dono so kaise rahe the!! Bohot hi uncomfortable hain yaar."

This set off another bout of laughing which even MN joined in. Nupur went and hugged him to make up for the previous days rude behavior confusing him but dia smiled.

"sorry guys, main bhool gaya, tho dinner nahin bana hai." mayank told them.

"its okay mayank. Pizza order karenge. " samrat said .uday nodded enthusiastically and picked up his phone to order.No one else seemed really bothered about what they would be eating.

Mayank ," haan. Thanks samrat.tum kuch plates aur glasses lekar aasakthe ho tumhare ghar se?"

"waise mujhe pata nahin rehtha ki woh sab kaha rehtha hain. Chashmish tum chalo..."

Nupur had, in the initial embarrassment , not realised that gunjan had actually come home but once she did, she was thrilled and was taking her around to show her every small detail .

"nahin. Gunjan kyun. Suhaani ko pooch. Warna main chaloongi tumhare saath. "

Samrat folded his hands and said,"chaliye."sarcastically

"mujhe icecream chahiye." Suhaani added.

benji looked at them, back at uday and said,"itna bura nahin hai yaar"

both of them looked at him questioningly , adhiraj with raised eyebrows. benji replying kya? escaped from them.

"waise mayank tumhe ghar mein entry mili kal raat ko?" adhiraj asked him quietly.

Mayank nodded and was unable to control his grin.

Nupur and samrat were coming back from samrats house. They had been polite to each other but formal. Not like themselves. Till samrat remembered how scared nupur had been the night before and decided to tease her

"waise nupur. Kal mayank ko ghar ke ander entry mili?" she smiled at him, nodded

"itni aasani se? Kitna lucky hai. girlfriend se milke ghar aane par bhi immediate entry! Wah biwi ho tho tumhari jaisi."

"samrat, yeh joke tha?"

"nahin tho, tumne hi tho kal kaha tha ki mayank ..."

"samrat... woh maine gusse mein kaha tha. mayank thodi na flirt kartha hai tumhari tarah." And bit her lip. She hadn't intended to pull him into the picture.

Samrats face changed. He looked hurt but recovering himself said, "time ke saath sab change hojatha hai nupur. ... Waise its okay."

They had reached nupurs door.

"meri bhi behen hain." He said and walked inside without waiting for any reaction.Nupur followed him feeling little guilty but relieved all the same.

They were having the time of their lives.

"dia, mujhe tumpe gussa aaraha hai. tum logon ne mujhe chodke shopping kiya?"

"oh nupur woh!" and looked around while suhaani smilingly passed a cover. " hum sab yeh laa ne gaye the. Tumhare liye.

"tumhari wedding gift." Gunjan nodded tears filling her eyes as nupur in all happiness and surprise, opened the gift and found a chain with a beautiful pendant and...a photo.

Wedding photo of her and mayank. Looking at each other and smiling.

Who clicked a photo at that time?!!!!!

" benji ne kiya" dia added glancing at benji.

Nupur looked up at all of them and caught mayanks eye.

"thanks guys." He said on behalf of both of them. Nupur hugged the girls and they went away to see where the photo would look nice hanging.

Mayank looked after them frowning," yeh photo kaha se aaya? Us time pe tho.."

"mayank, mere bhai. Tum kuch time ke liye sochna bandh karsakthe ho? Koi joint photo nahin tha. alag alag jo tha, usko morph kiya. Aur video se liya" Benji said.

" tum girls ko mat batana." Samrat added.

Mayank nodded to say okay.

Girl talk

"waise nupur, tum Natasha ko jaanthi ho?"

"haan"

"woh hamesha library mein kyun rehthi hai?"

"matlab" suhaani raised her eyebrows at nupur.

"yes nupur. Thats true. Maine vatsala ko kaha ki abhi exams ke liye time baaki hain. Woh bhi library ka kuch zyaada hi chakkar lagathi hai."

"tho kya hau? Main bhi library main hi rehthi hoon jiju bhi rehthe hai..." gunjans eyes widened in understanding as suhaani and dia stared at her.

"di, tum yeh sab mat socho. Jiju waise ..."

"gunjan, tu rehne de. Tumhe jo saamne hain woh bhi nahin dikhtha. Lein tum dono kaise.."

Both exchanged uncomfortable glances.

Dia said," we overheard some girls ki ...mayank itna bright student hai and hes forced to work in library because...phir humne unko shut up bola and we went to see mayank library mein. Tab dekha."

Nupurs face changed colour. She had never gone to library to see what mayank did. He was the assistant librarian , woh kya hai?

"waise , its the best thing library ke liye. Waha girls ki attendance zyaada hagaya hai." suhaani said laughing.

Sensing nupurs discomfort, gunjan changed the topic," di tum aaj bohot achhi lag rahi ho. Kuch alag .."

Nupur suddenly blushed. Dia and suhaani started laughing catching the blush.

"haan nupur tumare chehre pe glow hai!"

Everyone left for the night.MN settled on their bed and mayank said he was sleepy.

"mayank , tum library mein karthe kya ho?"

"kaam nupur."

"kaisa kaam?"

"books ka khayal rakhna. Books issue karna. Indexed waisa saara kaam." This seemed ok for him. she kissed him tightly on his cheeks

" yeh kisliye?"

"tumne gunjan ko ghar leke aaye isliye."

"nahin, maine bas bulaya, dia ne usko convince kiya."

Nupur felt grateful to dia. She continued.

"mayank, tum galat the ."

"kiski bare mein nupur."

"gunjan aur samrat ke bare mein." He got up immediately. He hoped samrat hadn't kissed gunjan in front of nupur again. He had been glad the evening had gone on very well.

"ab kya hua?"

"kuch hua nahin. Par gunjan ka dil zaroor tootne waala hain mayank. Gunjan aur samrat dono alag alag ..."

"background se hain. Haan , tho kya?"

"waise mayank gunjan bachhi hi hai. pehle woh meri baat sun thi thi, uski duniya mein mere aur bauji ke elawa aur koi tha nahin. Ab samrat hain. " he looked at her questioningly.

"woh bholi hai mayank. Woh abhi samrat ke upar bharosa karthi hain. "

"haan...tho kya? Yeh tho achi baat haina? Tumhe samrat se problem kya problem hai nupur?

"nahin, mujhe samrat se problem nahin, bas gunjan ki chinta hai. shayad samrat ko pata nahin hain ki gunjan ko chahiye kya."

"tho pata chal jaayega. Tum apna mood aur mera precious time waste mat karo" he lay down besides her resting on his elbow, running his fingers in her hair.

She was sleeping straight still and with a irritable look, turned to him and askd sarcastically," tumhe kaam kya hai is precious time mein?" stressing on the word precious

"woh bolnewala kaam kam aur karnewaala kam zyada hai." he said his voice dropping to a loud theatrical whisper, his fingers now tracing her ears.

Nupur turned colour and couldn't think of a fitting reply. Instead , she put her arm around his neck and flipped her finger on his nose . he smiled and bent over her.

Excel College

"mayank..." , nupur screamed for him outside the guys changing room making the guys inside start laughing.

Mayank went hurrying outside before she started screaming again. He had gone to meet samrat after their basketball practice to tell him princi was looking for him.

Nupur had stayed with him since morning , following him around the classes and the library. Mayank had finally managed to shake her off when he ahd to go to the staff room and here she was again.

"Nupur, yeh tumhara ghar nahin hai ki tum apne hi volume mein baat karo." Princi was in front of her giving her a lecture when he came out and catching sight of mayank , added," ispe tumhara asar kyun nahin hua hai abhi tak? Chalo, jaldi wapas staffroom aao. Books list complete karthe hai."

Mayank nodded and turned towards nupur," kya hai? itna chilla kyun rahi thi?"

"kuch nahin. Bas yeh dekhne aayi thi kit um kar kya rahe the."

"ab ghar jaane tak mujhse door raho." He walked away leaving her imitating him behind his back,"ghar jaane tak door raho! By god mayank, tumhare paas tho mein ghar mein bhi nahin aaongi, dekhna."

Burst of laughter. She turned to catch the guys in the changing room watching her, laughing and went to the canteen grumbling about mayank.

Corridor

Suhaani was running in the corridor when she collided with adhiraj. Holding her and steadying her in his arms / with his arms , he grinned at her and raised his eyebrows ," itni jaldi kya hai?"

Without returning his flirty smile, she said,"offo, raaj. Tumhare saath mein baad main flirt karo tho chalega. Mujhe abhi nupur ko doondna hai."

Adhiraj let her go and assuming a mock hurt expression, " jao. "

Suhaani shook her head at his acting and pulling him asked," tumne nupur ko dekha?"

"haan. Woh canteen ki taraf gayi."

"yeh tumhe har waqt kaise pata hota hai ki nupur kaha hai?kya kar rahi hain?" suhaani asked him.

"kuch jal raha haina?" he teased.

They had reached the canteen and saw nupur sitting alone .

"NUPUR, tum yahan baithi ho aur ...miane tumse kaha tha na ki library mein nazar rakho. Chalo."

Ignoring adhiraj s curious looks and nupurs questions,she pulled nupur and led the way to library.

On the way, the rest of the gang who were coming out of their class saw them hurrying and joined them.

Suhaani and nupur reached the library panting.

"dekho, mayank ..." and clutched her sides.

Nupur "yeh?! Suhaani tum iski baat kar rahi thi."

"nahin kal koi aur thi. Aaj yeh hai." suhaani explained unable to nderstand nupurs reaction to mayank sitting next to another girl and happily talking to her. Her surprise turned to shock when nupur, disengaged her hand and going to the new girl , tapped her on her shoulder and said," hello, mujhse nahin milna hain?"

CJ got up , the same as ever , loud and boyish.

"arre yaar. I missed all the fun. Mujhe yakeen nahin aata."

Nupur shook her chain and bangles at her . both hugged and CJ moving back, pulled mayank into a quick grouphug as well.

"suhaani, tum teek ho?" dia asked , looking at suhaanis open mouth.

"yeh ?"

"yeh, mayank ki friend hai."dia started,"waise nupur ka bhi."

"yeh meri girlfriend thi." Uday added. Adhiraj looked at him disbelieving and suhaani looked stumped. samrat shook his head and mouthed nahin to adhiraj

"waise you guys look good saath mein. Mayank ..." CJ was smiling from ear to ear happily.

"okay . fine. Ab please chalo library se. Warna princi se phir lecture sunna padega."mayank hurried them out of the library .

Joining the gang standing near the library, all of them walked to the canteen to

'Hang Out'
