It is really very difficult to compare 2 different couples by looking at them in a similar way, but you have brilliantly summed up it all.

Frankly speaking I have not watched Gauri-Hiten serial, but I know them that they are lovely decent couple in real life too. Thanx alot for making me know more abt Gauri-Hiten and it has increased my respect for them further.

MJHT is the only Hindi serial which I have watched alongwith repeats only becoz of SAJAN ...MONAYA. And when coming to monaya, their understanding is the key factor and most importantly they are similar to SAJAN in some points.

Like MONAYA said in a recent interview ( which I enjoy reading it repeatedly ), they have clearly mentioned their plus points as well as negative points........accepting your love whole heartedly with their negatives ( which is an aspect of sajan too ) and mohit pampering sanaya ( just like how samrat does for gunjan ) and giving surprises ( special bouquet for sanaya on her birthday when ), sanaya being emotional on the sweet gestures of mohit .................the list continues.

I wish Monaya to get married soon and have a very happy married life, their love for each other grows day by day......wishing gauri-hiten a wonderful life ahead.

Finally , once again I thank you for making my day with your beautiful post.

honestly what strikes to me as a similarity in both these couples is also a thing i find in common i say Pairs cos thats how it is.. having observed em the way I have it was seriously the sweetest thing i think i witnessed ... people arent sometimes half as lucky to have one fairytale come true... while somehow I happen to be in love with 2 here ... cos its exactly what both these pairs seem to me ... fairytales

The caste barrier is a society hurdle in my POV more important to people then to parents as per me really, cos I think that no matter what at the end of the day any and every parent wishes for their child to be happy - i m just glad both these pairs had such understanding parents who stood by them and not gave into societal pressures frankly
the tongue in cheek sense of humor both these ladies have which honestly doesnt surprise me since they are so wonderfully sophisticated and classy

I believe another fact in common to Sanaya and Gauri is that they are more well versed with things then their affable partners cos both these women are actually in a way more experienced at the ways of the world then their partners having traveled more then them and hence met and known a lot more people

Traveling to me Sonu isnt only abt the new places we see its also about meeting new people and different kinds of people Sanaya as we already know loves traveling has had her schooling in a hostel in Ooty, siblings in the US which makes her conventionally come across more people and hence be so aware of things cos she has lived an independent life having stayed in a hostel where life is all about being efficient to take care of self without any help ..

likewise Gauri is the daughter of an army man and hence traveled a lot since her father had the kind of job .. which too made her more exposed to people in life since an early age like Sanaya; then to pursue modeling and acting she stayed in Mumbai with her friend Mayuri Kango and led an independent life too to make it on her own

Mohit & Hiten have this down to earth naivety cos they havent been as exposed i think having come from very close knit families that were very traditional .. as we know Mohit admitted he hasnt traveled a lot; so hadnt Hiten till he met Gauri

another interesting thing is if u look at it the gals here are the sophisticated chic divas - looking at whom people perhaps never might have conceived that they would be in love with someone so different from them.. I am sure people must have felt Sanaya being a Parsi probaby will be with someone from the community as they are known to be a conservative one on this ground... and for Gauri her reclusive nature being a huge part of who she is .. or appears to be it might have even shocked people to learn she has a love marriage - cos she hardly speaks .. we know Hiten has said on record when she laughed at his joke after 6 months for the first time he himself was shocked like OMG she actually pays attention

so def people never might have imagined them to have such contrasting partners .. rather they must have thought these women would chose someone from the likes of their own background/community - but instead they both listened to the call of their hearts which were won over by their respective partners .. where both of these guys can quintessentially be termed as the GUY NEXT DOOR .. cos that is what Mohit & Hiten are like .. you feel you know someone like them since they do live upto the term to the T

But it isnt really actually so shocking to me.. cos I see both these guys to be a gem of a person and these women have liked them for their hearts and most above it all for the fact that both Mohit & Hiten have another thing in common - the way they respect the women in their life

I rem Hiten once mentioned even when in college his mom used to select his clothes and he'd simply wear whatever she picked - one day she picked a yellow shirt and black jeans - everyone in college teased him by calling him " taxi" but he misheard it and thought everyone thinks he looks sexy and hence when he dint bat an eyelid everyone was overcome by how cool he was and he befriended a lot of ppl even gals it speaks volumes of what a mama' boy he is

Similarly Mohit has always been so respectful to his mom & his sis - which so speaks of the way he treats the women in his life too ..

I have seen jerks who treat their moms and sisters so rudely that i detest them .. so it wasnt really surprising to see Gauri and Sanaya love them ... since they saw the men who they are falling in love with will always respect them as they should be ... which i think is a huge part of a relationship and something every gal wants - that her guy respects her ... and its so evident

also like Hiten casually admitted to his fashion faux pax so has Mohit recently about making one at his sister' wedding shows they arent just guys with their heads firmly on their shoulders who are humble and jovial with a superficial sense of humor but guys also with the ability to laugh at themselves .. which isnt really easy .. to be able to admit you erred shows a lot about the person you are.. cos admitting to things too is an act of courage and sometimes plain honesty... no wonder Sanaya and Gauri refer to these guys as genuine and honest - cos they really are... even if the joke is on them... and u know what Sonu - its said the way to a man' heart is through his stomach - but the way to a woman' heart is by knowing how to make her smile ... if a guy can make a gal honestly laugh - he has won her over !!

To a woman nothing is more romantic i think then a guy who knows exactly what makes her smile .. and if a guy can do that he has won over a lover for life !! and that where exactly Mohit and Hiten score - they know what makes these lovely ladies have that smile on their faces... chocolates or roses.. or any other thing is simply an excuse that is a superficial reason ... what these guys have actually done is truly find a way to their hearts.. and touch it with their sweet caring ways and that beautiful dazzling genuine smile
