u said so right aani this church wedding hasnt been gunjan's dream outa nothing but it has a very deep reason behind it...the reason is the vision she always had of her n samrat! two ppl who r connected in such a way that they dont need any words to make each other understand anything...just as she once wrote in d chit she intended to give to sam during the sheena track...when sam is so keen on her talking 2 him...she said that "They are just like the dancing couple...who dont talk...dont need any language to connect...who can speak n hear everything just as they come closer...they r always together even if the world realizes it or not...just like two SOULMATES destined to unite in any way despite all earthly barriers." This whole dream of church wedding has been coz of samrat...as i said...for gunjan it hasnt been marriage that has been a dream...but a marriage with samrat that has been a dream. At the end i will only say aani that cvs have done full justice to her character by showing this....gunjan was the girl who got her love after losing him almost forever....a feeling where she knew that the one person who is her life wont b evr with her even if she gives her whole life for that one thing. Her love used to be just an embrace away from her YET she cudnt hold him...cudnt tell him what he means to her.its said that "its very difficult to pretend that u love some1 when u dont...but even more difficult when u actually love someone and u pretend that u dont"...n gunjan went thru that phase in her lyf...n thus what she got in the form of her lost love coming back to her was the most sacred feeling any girl can ask for. Not every girl is that lucky...-period-
So Thats why her dream is so treasured for her...coz simply thats the ONLY way samrat always made her feel abt them....samrat n gunjan...the soulmates!!

Hey Mallu 🤗

thanks for ur kind words to begin with😳 am glad i could be the voice for us here 😳

exactly Mallu she was never a dreamer to begin with she never had any dreams about any hoopla all she ever was a simple girl who was happy in her own lil world of books until Samrat came into her life and changed things for her and she saw a world beyond those books and he became her dream

yes a mere Marriage was not Gunjan' dream ever ... her marriage with Samrat was her dream always.... for he has been the sole reason she had even these dreams in the first place

him coming into her life stirred up the girl in her making her realize how she too wants to love someone , be special to someone, when he came into her life she learned to look at things in a new way his caring ways touched her heart and he .. he made a place in it - for in him she dint just find the MAN of her dreams... she found more so much more she found a friend - who later turned into a lover & a lover who will always be her friend 😳

and awww yes u so aptly said she always saw them as that couple as he made her have that vision who wordlessly communicate with each other and hence her dream marriage isnt one where there are dances and a loud band playing but a simple soft symphony of the piano which is accompanied by the hymn of the church bells 😳

and now when after being away from him for no fault of theirs she has a chance to have her dream realized ... how can she not listen to what her heart said to her all along ... that this is how it shd be ... for this is how we always saw each other ... envisioned - You & me 😳

at first when i heard abt the chruch wedding i was suprised as why did CVs want that or showing it ? and more so as gunji wish ? that was a shocker for me ... but then after pondering over it ... its so apt ... by drawing lines to the Soulmates scene and the dance couple ....... aani it makes it more so the reason why SG should have this kind of wedding... aani its not just sam who has brought that dream aani its been her dream right from the time she understood the meaning of love .... her love for Samrat , she has been dreaming abt this right from there .. as the only gift she could find for him was the dancing couple on the rose day with the song which her heart sang ..... and the reason being the kudha Janne the v'nite dance which struck the cord for her with him as soulmates ........thats how she has always imangined them always hence when she explains it why she wants a chruch wedding espl when she says abt the choir ,flowers and the dance as Mr & mrs shergill.. brings it the full circle where they started where each of these things have a spl significance in their realationship........
P.S .. Aani am going to miss ur post for sure and more so our analysis and discussions with a new angle to understand them and may be its my last few replies to urs ... 😭😭

awww Aaru ur last lines 🤗 hon dont worry pls we shall be in touch and though we may not have SaJan anymore to discuss from next week on ... we may have something else 😊 - pls be optimistic 😳

yes aaru this is how it begun for them and hence this is their end the journey which started on Vday with the KJ dance for Samrat Gunjan two friends ... will come to an end with a dance again ... with them now as Mr & Mrs Shergill 😍

Ahana... you missed the point...well I dont wanna speculate on the fact that gunjan was not a dreamer.. Neither Am i.. but I grew up on books of all sorts.. and some of them affect you in a way without you even realizing.. its part of yer subconscious.. and in terms even yer persona.. there is a REASON why I quoted Roark and Not DARCY.. I hope that helps my statement here.. IMO Samrat made Gunjan REALIZE the dream that she had dreamed all along.. and then made it a part of her reality.. I sincerely do not think HE GAVE it to her..

Sona i understand your point

and i know why u stated Roark and not darcy as well here ... yes Samrat made Gunjan realize this is what she wants ... but somewhere she thought of these things more vividly when he came into her life and made her realize she too is a girl who wishes to be loved by someone who makes her feel special....

when i said he GAVE those dreams to her... i meant he gave those dreams the Wings she otherwise might never have discovered for numerous reasons ... or even if had found em wouldnt have tried to flutter em and have a flight - being the person she is ... as we even saw last night - where she was once again gonna cocoon herself - she did now as she bare her heart ... for she knew the one person who she wants to share this with the MOST will be with her no matter what regardless of any other thing

Am actually back today 😉 as I promised ...

Lovely post, Aani ... let me try to put my thoughts into words ... I found the way Gunjan described her dream wedding really beautiful and touching ...

Gunjan ... a dreamer, a thinker, a reader ... she grew up inside a world of books, always shy and introverted ...
a white wedding ... soothing, quiet, the sound of church bells, hymns, choir music ... man and woman taking their vows together ...
an Indian wedding ... raucous, fun, full of light and color and noise ... colorful, joyous ... and very very noisy ...

no prizes for guessing what suits Gunjan more ... and as she described her dream ... I could see how it had taken the shape it had ...

Did Samrat give her that dream? Or did the dream grow out of the recesses of her mind, seeded in her mind from the books she had always read, but shaped and moulded into its final form by the times with Samrat ... the Talent Parade ... where she sang for him, dressed in white ... Valentine's day, where she danced only with him, again in white ... "ahista ahista" - the first time she dreamed of being with him, again in cream/white ... the globe he gifted her when he called her his soulmate, with the bride and groom ... if she ever dreamed of her wedding, of her 'happily ever after', there's no doubt that it was always and only with Samrat ... as she said ... 'our first dance ... as Mr. and Mrs. Shergil' - Samrat and Gunjan in white are inextricably linked now ...

which is why as she described it, Gunjan's dream made beautiful and perfect sense to me ... as Sona said, Roark and not Raj 😉... yes, Sona, i found that comparison very apt ... her dreams have always been different ... and very true to her inner self ...

though I really do wonder how the cv's came up with this one ... have to give them credit for not going along with the hundred other big fat Indian weddings taking place on almost all the other shows these days ... and doing something so radically different ... would have been far easier to do the same old chamki lehnga and 2 tons of loud costume jewelry ... this is gonna be very different and unique!!! And of course Sanaya can carry the look beautifully ...

@ BOLD can i take the liberty to say I AGREE 🤣
Yes dia gunji and her dreams has aways been different and so has been Sam and thats what makes Sajan different - class apart ... it so shows their inner self .. even if u notice Sam voiced the same views of the marriage like her expect it was a indian wedding version... with few close friends and relatives, not much of halla gulla and simple yet perfect one .. hence he was all for it not just because she wants it but thats how they wanted it ... hence he says marriage at temple or chruch doesnt matter ... its what she wants .. because he knows from where she is coming from..
okies did i make sense dia .. ??

woww guys beautiful views...though earlier when charmz told on the forum that sajan r gonna have a church wedding i was a bit confused if that wud b perfect 4 sg ornot but now with yesterday's epi n all ur posts i know that its d best thing for sg...a beautiful n serene church marriage.
lately i have also realized that the whole concept of a church wedding is also so in synchrony with the whole sg relationship...sg have always been a very private couple...who always spoke heart to heart...w/o the insecurity of what the other will think or perceive abt their flaws or shortcomings. The best example being the recent sg scene wherein sam confesses to gunjan-his most special frnd, that how much nervous he is abt the wedding...that made him scared if again he wasnt going into his shell of running away from a marital commitment n if his love for gunjan was diminishing, to which she made him realize that he can doubt his own love for once but never can she😳 so again here i think NO other guy cud have dared to confess this to his wud b wife...but sam he knew there is no solution to any of his nervousness or confusuion accept his chahsmish so he said it straight to her. Thats the way sajan connect....directly...heart to heart...w/o any ifs n conditions.N thus this so beautifully justifies the concept of the church wedding....coz in church wedding unlike the hindu marrage all the vows are taken by the bride n groom themselves...I am not saying that i dont like the vows taking prt of a hindu marriage but just that the way vows r taken in a christian wedding is perfectly suited for sg. The bride n the groom look into each other's eyes....n commit a relationship of a lyftime n beyond... thats why in my view, the christian vows taking ceremony...where both the bride n groom r free to confess n commit anything to each other straight from their heart n soul...whatever they feel...how they look upto their future life with each other...the basic values they will always try to pump in their relationship......all this IS what just perfectly suits sg's unique telepathy.
