And yes, the possibility of an actor coming back into a show, and the possibility of a supposedly dead person who happens to be your own sister coming back after 3 years, is that even worth being considered at the same level?

Sonu, I agree with you totally.... And Mayank's seen everything with his own eyes, Gunjan hasn't. I'm sure any sane person wouldn't believe that a person supposedly dead is found alive after 3 years, and Gunjan thinks it's impossible that Nupur hasn't contacted them at all. Gunjan destroyed her life because of that accident, and it's just silly how people term her as selfish....

but my post is about why she does not understand mayank.
well she can believe that the person is dead just by looking at the dupatta but does not believe her jiju.
and why will mayank lie about nupur that too after three years.she never tried to understand his pov always thinking about herself and her pain.

She does not understand Mayank because she hasn't seen anything with her eyes. Everything, the flowers, the house he showed her yesterday, the fact that she didn't speak to her for 3 years, who wouldn't be pessimistic? And she uses the anger to stop herself from raising her hopes again. It's not that easy to understand a character like Gunjan you know.

gunji may not want to be hurt again by keeping up hopes of nups being alive
but the way she looks at mayu-as if he has gone mental & speaks rudely to him is not correct.....
dosen't she know mayu never questioned nups death for three years...he kept his misery in himself but out of the blue if he is telling them he has seen nups- atleast gunji should try to find out how is being so sure?? there must b something he has seen..but no downright on his face-she shouts di maar chuki hai -wapas nahi aa sakti...how is the poor guy living a life of misery..is going to react....
upar se she is a counsellor but i guess she's not at all gud in the subject herself( i pity those excel students she's teaching)...so she can't control her emotions & explain things better to mayu but keeps on saying -ve to him
the guy's so alone- he has no one in his life-now his friends label him mad....which i m not liking at all coz i can't see him sad
yesterday he was pissed off by his friends which lead to his frustation & accident

She WANTS to believe him but she can't believe him! Its more about her own fear. How can she fake support Mayank when she needs support herself? Its fine to assume that Gunjan should help Mayank but who is helping Gunjan out here?

Be it her stage fright, or relationship with Samrat, or her paralysis, she was negative in her views alwz..............so its kinda difficult for her to believe Mayank that Nupur maybe alive.

I think Samrat has been handling Mayank pretty well, being a companion and friend he need

i agree that gunjan can get really pessimistic at times....but one can't label her a bad sis & sis in law...........she used to be meek previously but has certainly changed over the years.....she is no longer the meek gunjan we knew she has become quite assertive now.......if you have followed season 2 closely you'll know that she always lent her support to mayank....why else do you think mayank is so hell bent on convincing gunjan……...he needs his friend & sis in law by his side to get back the love of his life............

Mayank's always had Gunjan's support. After Nupur's death, he could show her pain, he cried, cause he had her shoulder. Who did Gunjan have? She never had the chance to even share her grief with anyone. She made herself so strong from outside just for Mayank, cause hse worried much more about him. Inside, she was dying every day. How can you call him alone?
