THE SEASON 2 DOESNT HAVE A STORYLINE!!

Guys. Give me a break.

What ''storyline'' did we have in season 1 that we dont have in season 2 now!? What? Tell me. The talent parades, the bets, the friendship days, the rose festivals, all these cliched college stuff. Is that what you call STORYLINE. Go google what it means, guys. That wasnt a proper storyline. That was just some fun stuff for all of kids.

What they are showing now is called a STORYLINE. Although they dont have good actors, ( READ, the new cast ) but they still have a good storyline. And that is what the show is sustaining on. They are showing how the youth of today should be. There is more to life than games and festivals. There are serious stuff. All those accidents you read about in newspapers, does that affect you in any way. NO! But seeing that in MJHT does, doesnt it. Now, isnt that something useful? Showing people how it is to lose people you love. Wont that help the country? Or some stupid games will?

DMG CVs do have good actors but they dont have a storyline. And people here have an excellent storyline but only if they had good actors!! </font>

My dear friend, even the current storyline is tried and tested stuff...I mean how many serials have shown old characters passing on their wisdom to the newer crowd....passing on the "don't do what I did" message... dealing with the loss of a close friend/sis/wife, living in guilt, pain and denial hasn't tat been an integral part of t.v serials

You're quite right about the story thingy mjht never really had a story line but what about the screenplay its miserable these days .

Arjun & monaya are the only saving grace but even their scenes don't create the magic they used to previously .the actors( read arjun & monaya) are the same but why can't I see the same magic happening & I strongly believe the cv's are to be blamed for this .

I have come to a conclusion that good actors & screen play go hand in hand to a certain extent but even gr8 actors can't save a show with bad screen play so the screenplay is a major reason for the down fall

Yeah, but, atleast give the show a chance.

Why stereo-typing like, THE SHOW IS RUINED WITHOUT RATI!! The show is going good.

And if you can say that season 2's idea is copied, my friend, was season 1 too original!?? Havent we seen the filmy-and-sadu and shy-and-popular convos before. Nothing is so original as to havent seen before anywhere.

@Diya and Sonali...yes it's not all about romance now, but so was season 1 when it started. The prob is once the lead couples confess, the makers run out of ideas and keep showing the lovey-dovey stuff. I am doubtful if they have a written script in place for season 2, most of the times they change storylines before the shoot, which is why there are so many inconsistencies in characterisation, screenplay etc..

Agree about the raw acting of the newbies ... that's definitely off-putting, but on the whole, I like to follow storylines and there seems to be some development of storylines here ... it is slow, i agree, but with a daily soap, the makers are never in a hurry ... they have all the time in the world ...

I liked today's episode ... it was well put together ... liked the character development of Samrat , and I liked all the Sam interactions with the three newbies, Rohan, Ria and Ash today ... the mentoring Sonali talked about. So I'm willing to give it a watch - it's started on a way more serious note than Season one but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as long as it's not dragged too much.

It may not be the best show on tv ... but was it ever?! Depends on what you want to watch ... if you connect with a show, you watch it ... at least that goes for me. And I watch different shows for different reasons ... if sanaya wasn't there, i don't think i'd be watching MJHT at all ... but now I'm sufficiently curious to see how the other tracks are gonna go ... especially as it doesn't seem to be ALL about romance ... yet!!!

i

i only wish the scenes could get a little better

They fail to impress me somehow. i guess well written scenes could do wonders . You're probably the best person to know what wonders a gr8 scene could do considering how well you yourself write.

@Selene-sharma I did give it a chance and my opinion doesn't change much. I am not talking about season 2 alone, MJHT has been sufferin from lack of good script for a long time as you pointed out, the actors have been the only saving grace...as I mentioned earlier, they touch upon good plots but fail to expand furthur...occassionally we have good characters like Neil or dealin with eve-teasin issues, but again they end it all abruptly....they have always been suffering from lack of ideas

The storyline sucks...the script is not so good...the acting is realy bad...
i tihnk the most important thing is story...if the story sucks then it wont' be interesting...the script isn't good either...i mean why did we all love nupur cuz her dialogues were amazing...and the way she said them...
the fac that this show has become sooo serious...its not fun watching it anymore...and even the serious acting sucks
i hope they re re-vamp the show and bring Rati back...she was amazing
