A leap, new faces, new set and more in MJHT
The show has been in the news right from Day One. Initially because of its unique storyline, and then slowly because of its interesting characters all of whom became extremely popular. There is not an iota of doubt that Miley Jab Hum Tum is the most popular youth show on television today.
However, in the last few weeks things have turned a bit sour. First there were some rapid changes in the storyline in the last few weeks, while in the next week there will be a leap. While the changes have not been accepted very kindly by the audience, the makers are expecting that the leap will lead to some positive feedback and the show will get back its days of glory.
Post the leap, the storyline will advance by just three years ' unlike the saas bahu soaps which see an advancement of decades. The show will now be called Season 2 of Miley Jab Hum Tum. The major change will be the bowing out of popular characters of Season One like Uday, Benji and Dia played by Jas Karan Singh, Abhishek Sharma and Naveena Bole respectively.The biggest change, however, will be that one out of the four lead characters -- Mayank, Nupur, Gunjan and Samrat will die in the show. This event will lead to a lot of turbulence in everyone else's lives and that is how season two will start. Miley Jab Hum Tum expects to woo back viewers with these changes.
Not just this, there will be four new characters who will be joining the show. Sources confirm that Sreejita De of Annu Ki Ho Gayi fame and Nikhil Chaddha of Swarg fame will join the show soon and have already completed shooting for promos. Apparently, there will be a love triangle in the show between Mohit, Sreejita and Nikhil.
A new set in the sprawling Film City studios has already been built for the shoot and the entire cast and crew are working overtime to ensure that Miley Jab Hum Tum is back in the top TRP list. When we contacted Sreejita De and Nikhil Chaddha while the pretty lady said she was busy, Nikhil mentioned that nothing has been finalised.
Samrat (a.k.a. Mohit Sehgal), however, agreed to speak and mentioned that he is very optimistic about the whole new change. He says, "I would request all the fans of MJHT to watch the new season. They are going to have a blast. There was a time when no one was thinking of a new track, but now it is changing and the new track is very exciting."
But why so many changes suddenly? Sources say that that production team was having a lot of problems with the existing cast who were "throwing lot of tantrums" and thus the makers were looking for fresh faces and a new storyline. This is going to be a last ditch attempt to keep the show afloat. Mohit strongly disagrees and says, "If that was the case, the producers would not still be on the lookout for new faces or create a new set. MJHT is here to stay longer.
