I am not at all happy with the Sanu Scene today.made no sense to me.

To be very specific I have nothing against Smarat saying it. As many said it here he was talking about his own insecurities than thinking of Nupur. He thought maybe Nupur is unhappy with her life, its problems, so he tries to cheer her up with kind words, making her realise that all is not gone, she still has a lot more in her hand. In the end when she asks if she cant have a career he said yes you can.

I have seen this tendency in him to say a lot of encouraging things to Gunjan cause she lacks confidence and say rather off tangent stuffs to Nupur cause he views her as impulsive and spirited.

Or maybe deep down he never wants women to work and thus chose a rather quiet and nice homely girl with cullinary skills and a docile nature as his GF to have a motherly caring figure in his life.He cant ask Gunjan to back out cause he isnt married and also cause he has the image of a supportive boyfriend to maintai. It was due to him that Gunjan was so heart broken after Sajda, so he will always try to motivate her now to push her forward.

With Nupur he sees some simmilarities with himself, motherless child, bindaas thus his insecurities had immediately manifested itself through his words. I guess he never took Nupur too seriously in life as he takes Gunjan. Like many, Nupur might have come across to him like a shallow, happy go lucky girl cos of her muhfat attitude. If i remember Deodhar Sir, even he had said that he didnt think nupur could get such good results when she and mayank were talking about the academic meet.

I did expect Samrat to be a little more supportive and encouraging towards Nupur. But I guess the true emotions of Nupur are understood and adressed by very few people, one of them(read Mayank) being caught in his own dilemna....

Gunjan brings out the best in Samrat and in front of others he is just like himself,a bit immatured. If i remember correctly it was him who adviced Mayank to climb the ladder to nupur's room and then ride the groom's horse....I think the dialogues went well with his character but I wish Cvs didnt put it there.I am frightened for Nupur now.

Just my POV, please feel free to disagree.

I think Cvs just wanted t o make the point that being a home maker is also a challenging and difficult job....Probably the point they wanted to highlight was that having a career does not always make you satisfied with life...being a home maker can as well can give you joy and happiness...

to those who think i was saying that sammy is not a good friend...................i never said that..............but in last talk he was in other world..............he was describing the world he dreamt for but the side of that talk can be that our nupur will be left without a currier and i am against that............................. lets stick to the topic.......dont divert me.................. yashika no sammy would have never done this to gunjan....................................as he knows well that girls should fly with their dreams..................in my openion his childhood wishes come between sanu yesterday.........................and he discouraged nupur............................

No, thank you for your beautiful comment. It caught my eye like a lone snowdrop in the wilderness.

Why LMAO? I truly believe that one's interpretation, opinion and embellishments of facts are more reflections of the observer rather than the 'experiment' itself.

You have a very loving heart. God bless you.

Oh, I was referring to the 'weight' of my opinion. Pretty much just you and the dust mites!

Love sabah
PS Sorry Surbhi, thanks for another excellent thread!

Dearest Rinky. In truth, I have nothing further to add to this debate, but I just could not miss this opportunity to discuss matter with YOU! It has been an era. (Let's us what I can drudge up!)😉
To be very specific I have nothing against Smarat saying it. As many said it here he was talking about his own insecurities than thinking of Nupur. He thought maybe Nupur is unhappy with her life, its problems, so he tries to cheer her up with kind words, making her realise that all is not gone, she still has a lot more in her hand. I have seen this tendency in him to say a lot of encouraging things to Gunjan cause she lacks confidence and say rather off tangent stuffs to Nupur cause he views her as impulsive and spirited. Personally, I always saw SaNu in one corner and Sayank in the other. All four unique in themselves but in groups as I mentioned, and as the pairs destiny chose.

If i remember Deodhar Sir, even he had said that he didnt think nupur could get such good results when she and mayank were talking about the academic meet.True, but he saw some spark. Deodhar Sir, the no nonsense man, understood that life is for the taking. Houseman said it best in...'to a dying athlete'
"smart lad, to slip bedtimes away,
from fields where glory does not stay,
And early though the laurel gorws
it withers quicker than the rose...
...Now you will not swell the rout,
of lads that wore their honours out,
Runners whom renown outran
And the name died before the man...."

MY opinion so please '
I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet;Tread softly because you tread on my dreams." Maybe samrat sees similarities in his and Nupur's future. Both succeeded by their partners. So when he tells her that being a wife, mother isn't such a bad thing, he is in truth consoling himself too. NOT console, reminding himself of the honour it truly will always be despite modern day attitudes. Personally I would love to see Samrat the House-husband; fulfilling his own past regrets from childhood. HE TRULY WILL ALWAYS BE THE GLASS IS HALF FULL GUY. I love him for his determination and resistance to defeat.

I am frightened for even UDAY! Every character has his own charm, and place in my heart. They form the whole of MJHT that I love.
To paraphrase Donne 'each character's death diminishes the others, for they are each involved as a whole.'

Just my POV, please feel free to disagree."Truly sorry for a mess of a reply. This always happen when I don't really have anything to say, as they say "It is hard to tell when to finish when you don't know what you are talking about!"😳

See Samrat was just encouraging her that she would never be useless even if she sits home! He wasn't exactly discouraging her! As a friend he just wanted to make her feel better. He never said that Nupur should sit at home only and not work! And yes, he didn't say children next year! He asked her to picture life 20 years down the line with her husband and children. All said and done, I want Nupur to make a career for herself and not be just a housewife.

I am complete feminist in my views about life & people 😆. I watched the epi today ...not once did i feel irked about what Samrat said to Nupur . I loved the Sanu scene to the core😳

In a guy girl relationship there are three roles that define a person ...a friend , a BF & a husband .

As a friend you may be aware of a person's disappointments , weaknesses ...but the only thing you would do is make them aware that life will be beautiful no matter what😊...regardless of whether you achieve what you seek out to achieve .....that is what Samrat said to Nupur.

As a BF ...one will encourage one to dream & achieve...keeping one's weaknesses at bay .That is the reason Samrat encouraged Gunjan to dream & achieve big.😳

As a husband ...you will feel free ...to make your life partner aware of their weaknesses & dissatisfaction ....so that the everything can be set right ...coz you are booked for life . That is what Mayank said to Nupur about not achieving what they set out to achieve .😳.

Each relationship comes with a comfort zone ...Samrat can't tell Nupur what Mayank can & Samrat can't treat Nupur the way he treats Gunjan ...coz it is not his premise to do so .

Samrat as a friend only wanted to cheer Nupur up😳....that she has lost nothing but gained everything with Mayank & their future together.... that is for keeps . He told her that she could become an actress ...but she always will have the happiness of a perfect family . The only reason he values family is coz he never had one ...it is that simple .😳

cant say anything more...u completed every gap....just HATS OFF...👏 👏 👏 👏 👏👏
