NEEL OBEROI... a character that intrigued me - Page 8

I had to quote this one line that I had read...

poverty is a function of bad luck and bad choices, and success the result of heroic toil and dreams

this quote reflects on Sam and NEEL..for me..one who is poor by sensibilities...that result in bad choices..and severed by bad luck...and the other is a success story due to his dream but yet is trying to suceed through may be the biggest faliure in life..by Heriocally toiling..

damn this reminds me of my high school English critical analysis sessions... 😆 one thing hasnt changed I still suck at it 🤣

Exactly, the creatives surprised me with this cameo...I remember the first few episodes of Neel..every day I was discovering somethin new about this man..I loved the way he wasn't apologetic for having yelled at gunjan on the first day shoot...the way he reasoned with her on professionalism..he didn't soften up jus because it was Gunjan...shows his respect for work...something that impressed me very much about this guy 😊.

@revathy...yer off topic made my day... 🤣 I m such a hugeeee gardner admirer..ever since I read tht biography..when the movie came out..I was yet again skeptical..as usually I m about classics being made into motion picture..but Smith..just about made him a legend..he was extremely sincere and did justice to the character...I still get goose bumps when I recall the scene where they had to spend the nite in the toilet..n wen he breaks down...Impeccable stuff..

and yup the fact that I was even remotely reminded of him thro Neel..as bizarre as it may sound..just put this show notches up for me

@sonali that was one of the most brilliant break down scenes done ever. My fav. however is the final scene of the film, where he comes to know that he gets the job, he is fighting hard to hold back his tears...once he is out of the office the way he releases all the happiness bursting inside him...i have never been so moved in my life watchin a film 😍.
Even when you mentioned that little flicker of similarity, only this scene came to my mind. 😊


As you say he is real and human..ther's no positive or negative..it's high time ppl start accepting the grayer shades of the human character. I dont understand why people are assuming Neel needs to turn negative in order for SG getting together. Samrat is dealing with his own emotional baggage here. I liked the scene where Neel advices samrat to grow up(although samrat didn't pay any heed to it), he sensibly reasons with him tellin him that gunjan may tired of waiting for you to grow out of your insecurities.
It would be interesting if they show some Mayank-Neel interactions as well, although that seems remote now tat Mayank maybe goin to delhi.

Alright now, the financiers for the film chicken out, he may have to shut down the shooting..first he loses his love..now he loses his dream....Gunjan blames samrat, he wisely tells her there's no use blaming anyone for your failures...truly a man of honour 👏.
@sonali you might after all be right about cvs pulling off a winner in this one 😉...although now it gets more interesting as Gunjan comes to knw about his feelings for her.

P.S: Loved the way gunjan shook some sense into samrat today..finally..this was long overdue.

Am all excited that Gunjan is coming to knw about his feelings, although not quite how I wanted it..well anyways...i think the best thing about Neel's role is tat its a cameo...varna u knw how all the main characters keep sinkin over time. 😃

@ Revathy...I havent seen the epi yet..still at work so cant comment on todays development..but on Monday..when he apologized to the crew guy and Gunjan..I wasnt least bit surprised..It was as though I had expected him to sit and rationalize a little later and do the exact thing..He is a man of honor..and I mentioned it somewhere else I guess...but of course the CVs will add BS to the script now...like stupid rumor ends his career stuff... 🤣 I mean come on..I can relate to financers pulling out of this movie and his image getting a hit..but please dont use drama with Neel..he is anything but drama... 🤣 Anyhow as for Samrat...developing some sense..thats one thing I need to see to believe..dont count on it..coz I have hoped for it..a lot of times before with no avail..
