NEEL OBEROI... a character that intrigued me

On the other hand Neel showed a solid foundation that is needed for a relationship.... understanding of your love and lover... not blinded by the feelings ... the more I see him the more he impresses me...

Should I be surprised if Gunajan is impressed by him.. and his values... she LOVES Sam... but I am seeing these days... She RESPECTS Neel.... not because he demanded it.... because he deserved it...

Amit Jain is doing a fine justice to the character..

you know what really impresses me..that he is HUMAN yet HUMANE...he can see that SG are quite different personalities which would take more work on their part to get the relationship going..although I want to credit him with objectivity there..I still think he is not completely..coz in his heart of hearts he does have the WHAT IFs...but he has the courage and empathy to step aside and keep his friend's/love's happiness at highest regard...and quite honestly respects another person's perspective and priorities...in spite of having a different perspective..

Also in midst of all this emotional dilemma..he hasnt lost sight of the practicality and his vision/dream..he knows what could hamper the prospects of the movie..and hence is trying to balance the volatile relationship of 2 young adults and his own anguish..with the responsibility of a movie maker..who is accountable for the whole team and the process of movie making...if the CVs deal with him in the same vein..he may just manage to be in the league of fictional hall of fame ala HOWARD ROARK...one of my faves..

i really really like him...I cannot express what i feel about neil so well as some posts,but yes,good interpretation by some of the posters.What I like in him and especially Amit is....he has succeeded in threading a fine path where you can confuse your viewers...how many weeks has it been...2 weeks since his entry?Look at his maturity,the way he portrays his feelings,the pain in his eyes...its not dramatic.It is a very calm and silent expression of pain.No tears,no dialogues....in fact even when he mouths normal dialogues,you can sense his pain and feeling of loss.He has so sincerely conveyed to Samrat that he loves Gunjan...Im just in love with him.I just want his character to be a cameo...coz CV's dont know how to handle a character for long..and keep up the tempo.Look at what Mayank had to do at times...I want Neil to bid goodbye in the same dignified way he came.If he stays in the show...Im the happiest,but i want the best for him.Nothing less.I dont want his character to be spoilt by turning him negative.Neil has been by far the BEST character in MJHT.

Other than that...Amit Jain...what a HUNK!!!Look at his body,his bisceps...ooh lala!!😆 I just love his dressing sense too...I used to watch him in his earlier shows..He has not only matured in delivering his emotions,but also looks sexier.Love him!😳

Ah tat classic line from Indecent Proposal, if I'm not wrong.

I hope Gunjan gets to know about his feelings for her. She, for one knows the pain of falling in love with someone and not having that person love you back. And I think he should tell her about his feelings...he deserves a chance to express his feelings to the person, who matters to him the most. She is not going to do anything about it though...but if there's anyone who could empathize with him, it's definitely her 😊 .Am already finding their friendship very appealing.

Phew I finally cracked how this damn 'Quote' thing works 😆.

I can't help mentioning about one thought that keeps coming back to me, which is how it would have been if Neel was a third angle in Mayur track.

Neel is not much different from Mayank, his ability to speak his mind, dedication for work, would definitely earn respect in Nupur's heart. Didn't she after all, say that a gal would be lucky to have Neel in her life? something that caught my attention 😊
Even in their first interaction or rather their only interaction, he sets her straight making her think even though she had gunjan's best interests at heart whether it would have really helped in doing some good...made her reason for a justification(for lack of a better word sorry) for her actions...something only Mayank has succeeded in doing before.

Her high-spirited attitude towards life, ability to bring happiness around her, not afraid of dreamin and voicing those dreams aloud(something i admire about this character ⭐️ ), never hesitant to voice her mind...it will not be quite hard after all to leave an impression on Neel.

As far Mayank...Neel is everything he had aspired to be...he would definitely find a stronger threat in the level headed, matured Neel than the good old Chiruji 😆 whom he refuses to acknowledge.

This was just a figment of my imagination...feel free to disagree...or if you find it highly inappropriate 😃

day by day this guy is winning me over 🤣 but at the same time my cynical side is waiting till the CVs ruin it at one go..I somehow cant manage to think they can pull off a character like this..he is stuff legends are made of..I may be way ahead of myself but I saw a flicker of Chris Gardner from pursuit of happyness in him..just a little flicker 😆 especially how he sits by himself and gulps his frustration and pain down..but keep a brave facade in front of the world..loved the fact that he did not want to involve Gunjan in this..coz its HIS BATTLE ALONE..n he would fight it by himself..

also like I mentioned in some other post I love how in spite of what his heart may yearn or tell him he tries to RATIONALIZE everything..he has the perfect balance of wisdom and empathy...yest when he asked gunjan about the SG story..it was coz in spite of what he felt about Samrat and Gunjan being different personalities..he wanted to make sense of it..he was intrigued by how they could connect..he genuinely wanted to see where Samrat was coming from..

but all said and done the only time U see a tad bit of aggression in him..is when his movie..his passion is being hampered in some way..I still remember how he lost his cool on Gunjan..the first day..he is extremely possessive about his work..its his baby almost..so now I m interested to know how he would react to inappropriate publicity at the wrong time..I am not even thinking about the personal loss of face and anguish to see Gunjan's image and may be her debut venture being tarnished

@ sonali first howard roark from fountainhead, now chris gardner frm pursuit of happiness..you seem to be drawin parallells with legendary characters 😊 . I dont knw if the creatives have it in them to show that much depth in their characters. All I'm hoping is they don't spoil what they have shown so far.

.just a little flicker especially how he sits by himself and gulps his frustration and pain down..but keep a brave facade in front of the world

when he asked gunjan about the SG story..it was coz in spite of what he felt about Samrat and Gunjan being different personalities..he wanted to make sense of it..he was intrigued by how they could connect..he genuinely wanted to see where Samrat was coming from..

Well pointed out. He was very curious to know about the guy Gunjan had fallen for and the reason behind it. I found it very human 😊

Hey AJ, awesome topic !! 👏 I recently joined back IF, or would have replied sooner All of you have pretty must said what I wanted too But I just want to add one more thing. I know all of us are expecting Neil to have a shade of grey or to turn negative and he can, because he is a character written on paper, even if he is one of the best characters in MJHT till date. But I don't think he will turn negative or will have any shades of grey, because I see Neil's character as a catalyst, who was brought to the show to bring the lives of the main leads into focus and perspective. Before his entry all our couples were concerned about was spending time with each other. But when Neil arrived, his dedication to his work inspired our leads that there is more to life then love and romance, that while love is important, dreams are important too. That's why I feel that he is here in the show to indirectly help our leads make something of themselves and also to make them realize that love is not just about romance, it is also about supporting your partner and being there for them. I think he came to Excel loving Gunjan and wanting to make a film about her and that's how he will leave, with him still loving Gunjan and with his movie finished.

😆 sorry still havent asked yer name..but yup m a sucker for legendary MEN..😆 both howard n chris have influenced me..one is completely fictional and one is as real as it gets..and I know its hard to even be in that league..but if i get to see a FLICKER...I am thrilled 😆 the whole charm about Neel is just that..he is AS HUMAN as it gets...but exemplary in his own way..I dont see him positive or negative or watever...that people are wrecking their selves to figure out...He is just HIM...

I am more surprised coz I never thought this show would even have someone like that...coz after zillion inane tracks on juvenile delinquency finally I see some SENSE..which ofcourse isnt going down too well with most of the viewers in this forum..but well this is OUR TIME to be pleased..and oh so pleased AM I rite now 😆

Baji what more can I say that we havent talked about already 😆 😆 U have nicely summed up our little analysis..but what I figured eventually after tht convo was that apparently NEEL candid confession to Sam wasnt a good enought eye-opener.. 🤣 how could I have even thought so 🤣you really need a big jolt...for that kid to open his eyes...may be just about maybe the upcoming jolt could be the start of the IMPENDING growing up..and start of the working on his sensibilities..if not sense altogether...

I told you I would love for Neel to leave with his story and tell it all..in the Phir teri kahani kinda way..but but but..I don't quite see it yet..For one I would be surprised if the movie is made the way it was intended to be..
