I understand that Gunjan's not really one of those "talkers" like Nupur, and yes, I also said that she cares but she doesn't really show it you know? You kind of need to show it once in a while.

Gunjan doesn't even seem to have time for Nupur anymore. Initially, she listened to Nupz, now we don't even get that.

And I disagree with you about the Nupur part, but that's just my opinion. Nupur may have been OTT but she was not stupid, but the things she says these days honesly makes me think otherwise.

My little sister hardly talks and we're really close. Sometimes you dont need to have a conversation to know how someone is feeling and to show comfort. Showing is better than saying. Nupur and Gunjan have that relationship. And they DO talk. As for Nupur not saying stupid things..... Nupur says stupid things all the time. You just need to look at the Inter College Triathalon track for one. And then there was the Talent Parade track too sh said some crazy things about love to Mayank then that were a little stupid. But it doesnt mean NUPUR is stupid. She just gets carried away sometimes.

I see what your saying there...but mother & child???...Erm...i find the comparison kind of funny. If i am correct they all are meant to be (apparently) in their late teens. Nupur is supposedly 19 and i'm guessing Gunjan is about 18 or so. With such a small age gap i think G&N are more like friends; sharing each others sorrows, keeping each others secrets, standing up for each other in times of need...i have witnessed Nupur do all this for Gunjan...but has Gunjan ever...even for a moment...stepped back & thought about Nupur? Every single GN scene we see Nupur is consoling Gunjan over the hubba bubba situation that has risen between Samrat and Gunjan. Nupur could not even tell her own sister about what happend the night of the play; something that was the happist moment of her life ...but she had to hold back just because Gunjan was upset over something. Gosh...with GN...Gunjan toh always appears perpetually despressed about something or the other.

Thats older sibling syndrome. The oldest is always more inclined to be more protective and look out for the younger siblings best interests. And Nupur and Gunjan discussed the beach "date" when Mayank took Nupur to the beach. They also discussed the Fight after the Talent Parade and Gunjan advised and comforted Nupur. Plus Nupur discussed her and Mayanks love with Gunjan.

@red- Little is the word... When you were little you spoke for your sister. I am shy too and don't start talkign to people right away but I share everything with my sister and she shares everything with me.. I don't just keep ranting to her constantly about some guy like I am a lame loser with no other purpose in life.

Im 23 now. My sisters 21. I STILL talk for her😆 Shes just really shy *shrugs* Everyones different. And Gunjan and Nupur dont have a social life. Nupur is just more outgoing than Gunjan thats all.

@blue- That I completely agree with. She has proved she is a great sister with Gunjan, Uday and Dia too...

well i dont think gunjans supposed to be selfish.....i mean she did nupurs project resport for her and she usually helps her.....but today it was a turnoff.....when despite nupur clarifying that she was talking about her and mayank she kept thinking about her and samrat without asking the latest development between her and mayank that brought a smile to her face.....i think nupur's clarification should have helped gunjan snap out of it......i mean i understand having an occupied mind but does she need nupur to shake her to get her to snap out of it?.......i mean it was just one scene but still it was so against gunjan's character........naina

@ Sweet_Misery- Symbolism sees no boundaries, darling. The maturity level of Nupur when it comes to her sister is far beyond 19. And I would say that their relationship is far, far, far, far more profound than a friendship. 😆 As far as the mother-daughter comparison, it does sound strange, , I chose it for lack of a better analogy.

Also, I forgot to mention this before, Nupur has yet to go through a major crisis (or at least not one that she herself cannot solve) , so it's completely impossible to tell what kind of a help Gunjan would be in such a situation.

Lastly, I do agree with the fact that Gunjan has been far more poignant than necessary lately. But its MJHT, and basically all kinds if overreactions are welcome. 😆

May I just say that this is WAY too much analysis for a HIGHLY inane show?? LOL

I'm amused at all these in-depth explanations that are being put forth here....I'm willing to bet a large amount on the fact that the creatives have not even put an iota of thought into the explanation for the motivations and behaviors of these characters and yet everyone here has put this into a whole another realm....:S LOL

I was just gonna say this.. People are actually dissecting the character Gunjan so intensely like if we are finding a cure for cancer or something??
