i don't understand why everyone is getting so agitated by the changes in mayank's and nupur's characters. I mean if we think about it, it is natural. Mayank and Nupur still act the same way towards other people. Mayank still gets mad real quickly and has the sadoo personality towards other people like dodo. Nupur is still the bubbly, outspoken, and protective sister. Now, the only thing that has changed is how they act towards each other. This is very natural. Imagine it in real life. If two people were to fall in love, they would obviously act differently towards each other. Take the example of movies, we don't get mad when a hero in a bollywood movie turns into a sweet mushy lover from a macho man cause we expect that character change to occur because of love. So, why can't we accept it for Mayank and Nupur? Also, Mayank's need to hear I love you from Nupur makes sense too because if you were in love and constantly told the other person you loved them you would want to hear the same kind of response back from them. Mayank is not turning into a brainless lover, he is still the same old ziddi Mayank. This he always had in him, if someone dared him to do something and tried to coax him that he couldn't, he would do it no matter what. That is why he went into the pool to get his locket back. See, according to me they are staying in character and the story should progress in the manner it is. It is only natural for people who have just fallen in love to act this lovey dovey and have this kind of nok jhok and Mayur are portraying this magnificently.
I understand a lot of you disagree but I just wanted to put my point of view out because of all the character bashing I am witnessing. I am genuinely sorry if I said something that I shouldn't have or if I hurt someone.

FINALLY. Someone who understands. I completely agree with you. I mean they are in COLLEGE! Why would they become completely serious in love and not tease each other like this. For Nupur, the locket was important...(I don't know why lol) and for other girls, calling them back on time, taking them out somewhere, having them listen to you is important. It depends on the character.
Mayank did NOT get down on his knees and beg for forgiveness because that is not him. Instead, he got the locket out of the pool, scared Nupur (making her think he may be drowning), and put that locket in her hand to make her realize she was being dumb for not forgiving him. It IS his character to do this. and the cheezy dialogues, I mean come on, he is scarcastic. He has humor in him. I'm pretty sure he was saying those dialogues because it was funny to him and he knows Nupur is filmy. Instead of using the old corny dialogues, he makes Nupur happy by saying dumb dialogues in his own way.Nupur is right to be hesitant when saying those three words. She is outspoken and filmy...and if I'm not mistaken, almost all of the heroines have a hard time saying those three words in movies. She is also from a small town whose ppl don't take those three words as a joke. and let's face it, ANYONE would be shy to say those words to MAYANK! It's very normal ESPECIALLY for Nupur. So before you start becoming disappointed with the characters, make sure to remember that this is a comedy and a light hearted show. Do not confuse it with the serious saas-bahu serials where everything goes according to some kind of plan. Randomness is what makes this show entertaining.
Two points...@red: You say imagine in real life and right after you mention how this happens in movies. Decide... Should we think about waht happens in real life or what happens in the movie so we can compare MN accordingly.@blue: Mayank does NOT constantly say ILU to Nupur... Infact I havent even heard him say it once except on the stage where his exact words were "Nupur ab main audience ki taraf jaa raha hu. Agar tum bhi mujhe pyaar karti ho toh please keh do" At no point does he say "Nupur main tumse bahut pyaar karta hu"

Sure I agree that he doesn't say it constantly but he is more open than Nupur about his feelings as it should be because he is a GUY.and we have to talk about real life and the movies as both lives are REALLY important to Nupur. lol 😆I think Singh008 is just trying to say that both in real life and in the movies, ppl change. Ppl change all the time whether they are in love or not. and when they are in love, well ANYTHING can happen! 😃
People don't change in love.. some of their habits change. I can understand if Mayank went to the movies with Nupur for some ridiculously cheezy movie and even the mayapari was ok to some extent but they just overdid it with cardboard dating and locket fetching...And I am sorry but didn't Nupur also say "Pura orchestra baja tha" To me its like confession of love or when Mayank catches her dresses up for him... Nupur has shown more subtle signs of love than Mayank actually..Anyway, I don't want to get into a debate about movies and real life right now... so i'll rest this at that.
