Antara - LOL thanks for the hug... Oh I don't know about every true MayUrian feeling that MN's characters have been butchered... There are different perspectives out there after all (even though I most definately do not agree with them!) What vexes me is when ppl judge you to NOT be a 'true MN fan' just coz we're complaining! I assure you, I'm not a masochist and was I not a die-hard of MN, I wouldn't be putting so much time and effort writing this ultra-long post! 😆Its because I CARE about MN that I'm so deeply disappointed by the treatment their characters have given!

Hello Sonia.. fantastic post..U have said everything abt MN beautifully..The creatives r refusing to make Mayank normal..whats holding them up to let go of the third rate dialogues.. S. As someone pointed out arjun n rati's potential have been wasted and I wouldnt be surprised if they leave the show..And definitely that would be my last day to watch the show..Can someone pls clarify about the TRP thingy??

Seeing today's episode, precap,promos and some article abt SG's happy days i am 100% convinced that MN's entire storyline is down the drain and r gonna become the second fiddles..also i have noticed tht they have always been deprived of qulaity stuff be it their clothes, songs or sensible dialogues

Being a diehard fan of MN,It feels extremely painful to write this..

Antara... perfectly said!!! 👏 Honestly with all of that filminess, romantic nature of hers, and the support she has for Gunjan's love etc., her inability to say these three words is just absolutely ludicrous and inane. This isn't a quirk of Nupurs, this is character assasination 👎🏼 And as someone in this thread rightly pointed out, Mayank's constant bombarding Nupur to say the three words doesn't endear me to him either. 😕

Lol please no debating on who has more fans MayUr or SaJan because the forum coz you'll never know that for sure (this forum and the trps arent proof enough)... Plus I don't want an MN vs SG fight going on here... I think they BOTH have strong (& equal)-fanbases and I actually like SaJan. However fact is: that both SaJan and MayUr are leads... but MayUr aren't given that dignity at all in terms of quality, dialogues, screenplay, plot, etc.

I agree and especially about mayank's character-I can clearly see a huge difference betwen the old mayank who was ready to do a job for his mom and even sacrifice his love and this new mayank who can die for a girl (whom he would not even marry), without thinking abot his mom.

Brilliant post, Sonia! The creatives have done no justice at all. From Day 1 of this show I was a MN fan and I loved both of their characters. Today, I don't even care about them, and I cannot even bear to watch their older scenes - THANKS to the recent scenes. They no longer are the same MN today. What happened to a person's identity? Their characters have undergone so much change all in the name of LOWE that it is difficult to recognize them. No one changes this much. No one. If there is such a thing, as perfect person, then they are perfect for you, and you accept the person despite their flaws/limitations. Nupur has been shown to dislike his sarcastic "sadoo" side, and so Mayank decides to become someone else (Raj/Varun) just to make her happy. Is this fair?

well i do agree with the original post and understand that the creatives have definitely not put much thought into showing both mayank and nupur's character development, how love changes them, etc...but, even though i know many ppl dislike this so-called "new mayank and nupur", i still think they're endearing...call me childish or a fool, i have always been in love with both their characters...yes i realise that recently, they have lost touch with the older, more charming personas, but i believe in just going with the flow and just accepting what's ahead of you...the creatives might seem frustrating at the moment, but, hey, they're running the show, the trps are still pretty darn high and no matter how much you criticize them, u still end up watching it...to reiterate my point again, i still love mn..and today's small but significant mn scene really touched my heart...i know they're not like they're original characters anymore, but perhaps one should just give them some time...they might surprise us ;)

here is a CLEAR difference in bashing and constructive criticism. Constructive criticism, coming from true fans, is brilliant. But bashing, coming from people who claim not to even watch the show (and yet spend good amount of their days discussing it) is plain outright stressful for fans of the show.
If the posts said 'wouldnt it be nice if the creatives done this on the story'..or 'i suggest the creatives do this'..THAT IS "CONSTUCTIVE CRITICISM"....but saying 'I hate the creatives'..'Oh look here they go again'...'God they just dont have any brain' etc etc [and we all know we have seen these kind of quotes very often here!] THAT IS bashing...that is hatred..and that's reallly unfair for fans and the poor creatives, who work soo hard, to have to read that.
last but not the least i wanna draw attention of all loyal mayurians,and request them 4 the last time that keeping all difference of opinions aside, being altogether we wil have to fight 4 their justice,as sometimes MN r getting proper treatments and sometimes not.MN can't ever be finished.as its ArTi who r playing those respective characters.and they have proven it time to times.i dunno whether i m that worthy or not,but i wil really be glad if my suggestion gets considered.

So I won't claim I've been watching MJHT for since the start, but I came across some earlier MayUr scenes recently and was hooked. So I decided to catch up all MayUr scenes (man, I have free time)... and I had a blast, there was humor, there was chemistry, and the two of them were just so brilliant - I wanted more... Since I've been catching up in super-speed, I guess the butchering is even more apparent. One day I'm watching the sensible, sarcastic and totally perfect Mayank, and then two days later I see a Mayank jumping through hoops to please an unreasonable Nupur (and mouthing dialogues like 'pyar me shaheed' and 'pyar me waterlevel')... Makes me almost wish I had seen these episodes first, and been disgusted from the word go - than be this disappointed...

To the original poster - that was an extremely well thought and well written post.... And I hope someone would pay heed to these words and do some justice to the MN track....
