this poem is during the rose day time from nupur's point of view.

A Broken Circle

I remember when I first met you,
We fought, we screamed, we shouted,
But somehow we put our trust in each other,
Though friendship didn't happen, true.

But there was honesty in those taunting eyes,
Kindness in that mocking heart,
You were a sincere friend, something I'd never imagined,
You and me... that was a total surprise.

Suddenly that laugh of yours was sweet,
That glance was ever so reassuring,
I never really had a friend like you,
The world disappeared beneath our dancing feet.

But the guilt that nagged, it never let me be.
So when our castle crashed from the clouds,
I suddenly found myself alone, all alone,
The friend I never knew I had had left me.

What I would do to feel your arms encircle
Me once more, to dance forever with you,
But we're back where we started, bitter and angry,
We've come the whole, broken circle.
