The girl in blue, Mayank & Jaage Jaage..So funny!! - Page 5

After all the confabulation regarding what song would be apt for Mayank (courtesy Kavya's post), I was thoroughly disappointed when it was finally announced that it would be jaage jaage. From a plethora of YRF songs (because apparently they can use only those songs), this was the only one available?

I think all the songs that were discussed on Kavya's post had one thing in common. They were all quietly introspective and yet celebrated the new found acceptance of feelings. They all went with what one would have expected from a character like Mayank. and needless to say I was sorely disappointed even when I saw the first glimpse of the song...Mayank and street dancers and extras for the epiphany??? No no no no no...

I still managed to keep my trap shut till I actually saw the song convincing myself that maybe even the most staid people in the world behave uncharacteristically when in love....

But Oh My God What Was That Yesterday? That song and the choreography wasn't right even for Samrat, let alone Mayank.

P.S. Kavya...there go our dreams of the top revolving shot of Mayank enjoying his acceptance! Dhat!!

P.P.S Topic Starter...I just watched the girl in blue again....thank you so much for making me laugh in spite of my disappointment!!

@Aarti: I am saying this with a very heavy heart - our dreams have been flushed......and that top angle shot ohhhhh don't remind me of it , how beautifully we envisioned it -it pains my heart all the more

@ Kavya...*sigh* sigh* *sigh* on the top shot! Yeah apparently no epiphany, just buffoonery and taking the MayUr comedy track even further. Question is if they were to be this stereotypical, why bother with the depth of characterization in the beginning?

I've had another question for some time now, once i got over the awwwwwwwwwwwwwwness of the terrace promo...sure it is embarrassing for a small town girl to rip her outfit so that her bra strap is on full display, but c'mon, face the fact, it was a rip on the back and a LITTLE line could be seen. I do not see the reason to make such a big issue out of it, more so because I would have expected Nupur to manage her discomfiture by joking about it or something, after her initial moment of shock of course. And I definitely did not expect the ghantis for a simple shirt...

u r absolutely rite srk_abhi_apu~...the song was very funny..they cud have picturised it only on mayur, those extras made the song so clumsy, they were not needed at all..it seemed they had no relation with mayank at all...the background cud have been much better..i also felt tht the song had an abrupt ending..if they had picturised the song only on mayur it wud be much more romantic and nice..

ya really the faces that kid was making at mayank was like she was looking at someone who was raving mad.....he he!!!!

🤣 haha lmaoo at the little girl ! the entire song sequence was really strange, those tapori people were OTT, mayank dangling off a auto was plain weird aswell 🤣 jaage jaage is such a romantic song why did they not do justice to it ! it looked really childish not to mention a bit random ... the few mayur moments made up for weird parts though 😳

~srk_abhi_apu~...I thought only the bacvkground dancers would be bad but OMG how wrong was i the whole song was strange et all....BUT the MOST HILARIOUS bit is right in the beginning when Mayank is singing and that lil girl in blue in the background gives the most PRECIOUS epressions i have EVER seen...🤣 Oh God bless her...her expression while staring at Mayank was SO SO SO FUNNY....Its like she was thinking "Mummy yeh praani kaunse planet se aaya hain...jaadoo ka dost hain kya?????"🤣!

~srk_abhi_apu~Please dont get offended but overall the song was disappointing.....i wish it was just MayUr...all those excess people in the song killed it. Like seriously....i dunno they could have done better. They were covering enitre age groups or something...There was the little girl in the beginning, then some random young couple and then some old couple...it was so so so funny to watch! I was laughing so hard thoughout the song....especially with Mayank hanging off from the auto..i was just like WTF?? Realli wish they had shot it better *sigh*!!! All that gali nukad shops, bheedh bhaad of random extras and beech sadak mein prancing about killed it. There were just one or two worth it MayUr moments. swear yaar.....mein soch rahi thi....ab acha scene hoga abhi hoga......par iam highly dissapointed.......have u seen how gunjan song was done.....ufffff it was so sweet......all alone but so magical........seeing mayu's song i was like.....shit i was crying for this song?????(at alibag as my parents were saying that we should stay there till friday.....i was like i want to see the song on my 42 inch tv....i want to see their expressions.....i want to feel them...i want to dicuss on IF......so i came on thursday afternoon........i was a fool.....)Angry😡
