Chapter 22: Trust , love and responsibilities
Ranveer was standing near the window of Ishani's room and was looking at the sunrise He really had not slept the night, he had spoken on the phone with doctors, nurses and Disha about medicine, various treatments and procedures. He turned to look at his angel sleep with a smile on her face, Ranveeer smiled just to look at to see her smile, but then the thought of Disha 'condition hit him. He felt like he was betraying Ishani and uncle by keeping Disha 's truth a secret , but he knew that if he told them he would be betraying Disha 's trust. When Ranveer had shared this with Disha 's doctor , he had told not to pressure Disha to tell yet because she has fainted because of stress and her health would get more critical if she stressed.
Disha was in USA when Ranveer met the Pareks , he heard everything about Disha because of Ishani who always talked about her sister with so much fondness and love that Ranveer knew how much Disha meant for her by just hearing her talk about Disha. Ishani had told her sister all about, him as well, so when Disha for the first time came to India on vacation from school and they were introduced to each other it was like they have known each other for life.
A small smile crept on his face remembering the bright, bubby and sweet Disha who always were smiling and he remembered how much happier Ishani would feel whenever her sister came visiting. Now life was testing such a beautiful girl, Ranveer turned around so he could look outside the window and his vision hit the cloudless sky. Was this a sign that everything would go well, he chuckled to himself and could not help thinking of the irony. The sky was cloudless, but his life was a dark clod.
He breathed out and made a list in his mind :
1. Disha 's treatment
2. Keep Ishani happy and make sure she is loved , after all his mother was right he had confessed to her that he loves here , her happiness is his responsibility
3. His last training for getting his badge and gun ,
4. Mom , Ranveer knew that he had to build the relationship with his mother again
Ranveer was determined that he had to handle all this, without any of these affected the other. He just had to be flexible and think about all together. Ranveer was so lost in his thoughts that he did not notice that Ishani woke up and was sad when she did not see Ranveer beside her . The thought of Ranveer not keeping his words to bee there when she woke up , broke her . She looked around and when her eyes fell on him, she smiled and mentally slapped herself for even thinking that Ranveer won't bee there.
Ranveer stood before the window, she could only see him from behind. Her smile disappeared because she could cleary see from his body language how tense and worried Ranveer was. She imagined how worried and guilty Ranveer must have felt for yesterday , and hated herself for making him worry so much. She thought how Ranveer had made her feel loved yesterday and smiled when a plan came in her mind.
She stood up from her bed and walked silently towards him , usually Ranveer would have understand that Ishani was walking towards him because he knew the sound of Ishani's footsteps but at the moment he was so deep in his thoughts.
Ishani slowly started messaging his shoulders , and then Ranveer came out of his thought and turned around to see the most beautiful girl giving him such a beautiful and radiant smile that Ranveer smiled .
Ranveer kissed her forehead and wished her a good morning , Ishani smiled and wished him a good morning as well. For a while they were just looking at each other's eyes and were finding comfort in each other 's eyes before Ranveer 's phone rang and there eye lock were disturbed.
Ranveer took the phone and recognized the number , turning around again and answering :
"God morning jiju ji " Ranveer heard Disha say happily and Ranveer was relieved to hear that Disha was happy.
" God morning " Ranveer said kindly.
" Jiju, who did it go with my stubborn behna ?" asked Disha and laughed .
Ranveer turned around this time and saw that Ishani was studying him suspiciously and Ranveer smiled towards Ishani before he answered :
"You have no idea, how my girlfriend reacted yesterday. I thought she would turn to Sunny Deol and murder me . But you know me I used my charm and everything is okay now."
Ranveer said, he really did not want Disha to know about Ishani's reaction from yesterday, because he knew that would make Disha more worried. This way he did not lie exactly and made both sisters relax and Ishani rolled his eyes when she heard his words
" Woh to hai , there is now one that is as charming as my jiju . "
Disha said happy to know that everything was well between Ranveer and Ishani, the last thing she wanted was that there would be any misunderstanding between them because of her. If that happened, she could newer forgive herself.
" How are you feeling now ?" asked Ranveer , turning serious now, and Ishani noticed that and came to a conclusion that he was talking about the person he helped yesterday and the respect she held for him was a hundred times greater now . She knew how important it was for Ranveer to help those who sought help from him. She knew it was because of kind nature , but also because he had made a promise to himself that he would become the opposite of his father and he had followed her father 's footstep and decided that he would sacrifice his life to work for other 's . She remembered the day he had told her that he wanted to become a cop like her father , and she remembered the anticipation he had to hear her answear.
There was no doubt in her mind that he would become a amazing cop , and that she knew that there were few people that would be able to keep there city safe as Ranveer would.
" I promise , I am fine jiju. I followed every instruction that the doctors and the nurses gave me . " Disha reassured her worried jiju, and Ranveer nodded even through he knew that Disha could not see him. He had no idea how to continue the conversation , when Ishani was around and Disha understood Ranveer 's silence and said :
" Challo , Jiju I guess I will talk to you later I will let you and didi spend some cozy moments together " Disha said teasingly and Ranveer was shocked hearing Disha 's words and before he could answer his Sali she had closed the call.
Ranveer let his phone in his pocket and stared at Ishani and told her:
"The girl I am helping "
Ishani nodded and smiled before she said
"So she knows that you have a girlfriend "Ishani remarked, secretly happy that this girl knew because she could not deny that any girl could fall for Ranveer 's charm. Ranveer laughed and said:
"When I have such a beautiful girlfriend, I have to brag about here. After all there is no one like my sunny "Ranveer said flirtatious and winked at her and Ishani in return just blushed and gave him a hug .
" I love you "both said in union .
"Always... "Ranveer said and Ishani completed his sentence by saying "and forever "
AN : So I tried to to wriet a longer chapter , because I feel giulty for almost giving you guys short chapters . Thanks guys for beeing tolerant with me and I promise that I will try to give you long chapter's as much as I can :) Sorry for any typos and please let me know what you guys think ?
