Feel sad for Kaushaliya.
I have said this before, if she does not stand up for herself then no one will. She has made herself a doormat and now she is feeling it.

In the last few days I noticed she keeps touching her head and looking like she will explode. And in real life people liker her do. And so she did explode.

She had lived all her life with this secret hope that her son will grow up and defend her like Raghave does his mother. I guess it made her life more bearable.

Yesterday she literally fell to pieces all because Shivam said 'what are you going on about?' - in her mind, her world exploded.

Its sad, she listened to a evil woman who did nothing but abuse her. I can't understand why she cannot see that, why she still listened to that old biddy. I really wanted Riya to confront her about the missing sari in front of people just so K will be taught a lesson (that she really should have known by) which is never, ever to listen to Shanti.

Instead after a lifetime of being a doormat, now that she is a MIL she thought at last I will have some power, my son will support me...and she did everything like Shanti. Blowing up, yelling nonsense, and then rushing into her room and locking the door.

I have no words, but I don't say she is evil or horrible. All I feel is sad for her. There are a lot of women in the world like that. They keep quiet, bow their head down and dream of the day their child grows up and becomes their hero. Her crying whimper to Raghave really hurt me - for once her real hurt came out and even Shanti looked concerned - that maybe her game was up. I would really, really like the CVs to have the Raghav/K conversation to go on today, and maybe see more of Raghav's character which I really dislike at the moment.

I would say to those women like K, be your own hero, stand up for yourself otherwise you will be full of bitter regrets... and let your children live their lives.

Though I feel bad for Shivam I am also angry at him.
Why is he hiding what his family is like from Riya? does he not realise she will then believe any nonsense?

She is a new person in his home, to learn people it will take time. In the meantime she is being used.

Are K's children like her, so gullible? if I had a Dadi like Shanti, I will tell my husband, inlaws, best friends whoever means a lot to me that never ever believe that woman!

But I have this feeling K's emotional outburst will affect him and make him more closemouthed. So Shivam is now following Raghav's footstep - Shanti uses emotional blackmail to keep Raghav in tow and so will K. ...until Riya finally has enough.

But the other side of the coin is Riya and Shivam are still new to one another and they won't rock the boat of their relationship to speak honestly to each other yet - but I hope they will.

Actually the way she said... Amma ji ho to mei galat bahuriya ho to b mei galat...kabhi to mera saath dijiye...that was so heartbreaking... Like the hurt of 24 years just came in few words...but again if she shud have understood just a simple thing...how shanti is... Then this may not have happened...

Well written. Watching Kaushalya and Nimmi today was a viscerally sad experience. Unbeknowest to them they are now carrying the unholy mantle of Shanti and Sarla. Unfortunately both lack the wiliness and impeccable sense of timing thats the forte of the older mother daughter duo.

Dreamy, iI am not not aware where you are residing but being a resident Indian the one thing I find very restrictive in our society is the total lack of personal expression and individual code of conduct and ethics. We don't come up with right answers because we are forbidden to question. All this repression is conveniently passed of as respect for older people. Status quo at all cost striding through multiple generatioms just because we lack the moral courage to ask why?

Another thing is the insistence of excelling in maintaining the protocal expected in a relation rather than the encouragement to be a good human being. Life would have been so much better for the Srivastavas and us to if Raghav and Kaushalya has attempted to be good human beings rather than a good son or a daughter in law respectively.

Dreamy whatever u said abut Kaushiya I second it.
I was waiting to see when Kayshiya would explode. Coz there is only so much one can take before they burst. Too bad that she burst against Riya but she does not know other wise. All she knows is that mil is the only all. I thought that they would show Raghav thinking on Kaushiya words but no

I am upset with Shivam. Like I repeatedly said he needs to let Riya know. How does she know the dynamics of this family. She is not rani who has been coming to that house for a long time

Cowsalya knew taking Riya's saree was wrong. But having been browbeaten by Shanti for 24 years into believing that MIL is always right and as bahu she just tows the line, she did just that and took the sarees. Even Preeti came to remind her that it was wrong and she knew it but still did what Shanti led her to do.
Shanti can gloat all she wants. But there will come a day when her overconfidence at playing games and getting the upper hand will be her undoing brought upon herself. I've seen women like her in India.

The older women who once having towed the line under the supression of their MILs see it as their chance to have the upper hand when she gets a bahu. Few realize the hell they went through and vow to never put her bahu in that predicament. The more the men stand by their wives and show their parents that the cycle of emotional abuse does not have to repeat the better it gets with the next generation. Some women realize it for themselves and never want another woman to go through her hell.

Cowsalya justifies her behavior of doing as Shanti dictates all in the name of loving her husband who loves his mother and sister. For a man who works with other people is he so blind as to not see his mother and sister's penchant for drama.

Shanti thought her gig was up there for a moment when Cowsalya asked Raghwa why she was the "Fall GIrl" whether it was his mother or bahu who had an issue.

Sooner or later Shanti will fall on her own drama sword. The thrill of being the mastermind of her drama and coming out the winner will keep her going and soon she will expose her true colors. Whether Raghwa will be too blind by then to see the truth is another matter altogether.

Yes the core of her hurt and anger spilled out, and I believe this was the real reason she exploded.

She had been so oppressed - and she never did herself any favours by even questioning anything - that she could never speak out her hurt aloud. Only with Shivam's Qs shattering her did all spill out.

I would really like CVs to show us more of why K became the way she did. Even the simplest woman would after 24yrs know to be wary of a barracuda like Shanti but not K. In fact the way she sometimes speak about Shanti with pride and even affection makes me feel sick. She has become a classic abuse victim.

I'm in the UK and though I'm not indian I do understand some of the culture. I know things on TV is exaggerated but human nature being what it is, you would always want your children to be better than you. Then why hasn't K made her children alert rather than attempting to shush them or being horrible to them like she was with preity the other day?!

My point is, why is K so cowed that even in her mind/her room/with her children she still thinks so highly of her MIL. Though I feel sad for her, I know she bought it on herself by not ever remembering how evil Shanti and Sarla are. I actually though she was learning, did she not say the other day she will observe Shanti and learn from her?! boy I was wrong, she learnt how to do drama and lock herself in!😲

Mostly I feel disappointed with the writers. They have a responsibility to show that an oppressed DIL can be empowered but hey I guess this would be too revolutionary for Star Plus!!😡😕

Soapliker, I too can't understand why Shivam is quiet.

I think he is embarrassed about his Dadi but when it comes to love, couple actually do speak candidly about everything including their family members. So why on earth is not Shivam saying anything esp when that was his main worry?!

He has the power to change the dynamics in that house. If he tells Riya to only listen to K then she would and Nimmi and Preity would follow them. But again Star Plus would disintegrate if they have these kind of story lines!

These kind of shows has never been about empowerment to character development more about keeping the family united no matter if you die!

Mera,

I doubt this will happen. You and I know even if she falls on her drama sword she will be saved by everyone. They will come rushing, touch her feet, cry and beat their chest and before you know it she is back to her game and everyone still clueless.

I really think this show could have been the empowerment of helpless woman like K. But no, its more about how to con gullible people out of money, scare innocents with threats of suicide and what nots.🤢🤢
