I thought I saw Riya touching Amitwa's feet before Shivam did

To give Riya the benefit of doubt, this is her second day in this house. Secondly every time she looks like she wants to say something, Shivam tells her not to.

Nobody has told her what Shanti is. How is she to know otherwise. Only person to compare is Bua Daadi who is loud and overbearing. Here she sees Shanti constantly being sweet to her, praising her etc.

I get it when you see something wrong happening , one should voice out but it is rare to see a daughter in law doing it on the second day.

Also when you are new to an environment you go out of your way to please all like she did with cutting the veggies, when she clearly did not do it before.

So far the only thing that she constantly sees is , daadi after Nimmi and she standing next to Nimmi during the Amit friend incident saved Nimmi

I think we have to give her time. She has come from a loving family where it is her dad and cousin bro and friend and now suddenly she has a whole load of family and family like Sarla and Amit who come with enimiity against her.

So I guess we have to wait and watch. If the entire marriage could take 3 - 4 weeks, having Riya realize the truth can take longer

i do agree with your points, but not completely lots and lots happened, but still she can't figure completely anything at least a little doubt, though not on Shanti who's playing safely her game but at least on Sarla if she began to join the points she would have begun to doubt the family...
