As I said before he is not perfect, a flawed character that needs some work in changing his mindset. This is where the different ideologies come in.
But underneath it all he is not a bad , vile or wicked person, He loves his family and yes that includes HIS WIFE AND KIDS !!!
Is he an ideal husband ?NO . Is he an Ideal Father? . NO.
But he works very hard to do his best to provide not only for his family but also his sisters family.
He wants his kids to do well and be well looked upon. That is why he was telling Shiivam it is time to get responsible.
His flaw is believing his mother can do no wrong. His mother is seen as the head of the house and to him her word is law, and he expects his kids and family to follow that. He also dose not believe his mother will willingly do anything hurtful to them.
He grew up with a single mother and part of his mindset is probably based on the fact that he has seen her struggle as a kid and go through hard times. It is not wrong for him to want his mother to be happy and respected.
It is wrong that he dose not seem to give a fair hearing to his wife and kids, but then he is never really given the chance to properly understand a situation before it is swept under the carpet or his wife takes the blame or the kids are made to stay quite, either by the mother or themselves or even him.
Seems he also believes that "when elders speak kids just listen" again old ideology that will have to change!
Together with Ragav we have Sarla's husband , who is equally clueless as to what his kids are doing. He has no voice in his house and is nothing but a showpiece it seems Since he is not into any decision making in his family. Yet no one would call him a bad husband or father.
I am not against any one expressing their opinion or displeasure on this character, I also do it from time to time, but it is sad when to express your displeasure you have to use hateful and insulting words .
That is all I have to say thank you!
