Some observant and accurate members of this forum have commented about how very old Raghuva acts. I think, Our Raghuva 's age is a variable quantity.

He is 5 years old when his Mommy feeds him with her own hands🤢

He is a teenager experiencing his first crush when he runs into

Malkayin in the store room🤢🤢

He is an 80 year old Father ( who acts like a step-Father) when he talks to his children🤢🤢🤢

I do not agree,

see, the man has to be around 45-50

Why raghav is so cold to his kids, it can be like - they grow up and he is always out

oh believe me there are such fathers who work very hard and hardly see their kids, they hardly spend any time with them, the love for the kids is there but he will never show it to them, he will behave strict to them but he loves them.

this is why he has that cold behavior to his kids.

there is issue of his no - trust on his kids, the trust should be built b/w father n his kids, the man does not know his kids, he saw them growing but he was not there to spend time with them and actually Know his kids , this is why he is very cold to them and people are questioning his fatherhood !!!

why he is tired, As they NEVER SHOWN this to us but We asked Varun badola about this character - here his answer

Well... For a man who got the job because his father died and started of as a line man. Has worked on field for years and reached the position that he has, Senior Guard of Moughal Sarai junction, which is the biggest in India (it actually is). He works 16 hours a day, 5 days a week and 12 hours on weekends. Most of his nights in the last ten years have been spent sleeping in trains. He regularly does overtime to earn the extra bucks for his family. He has not had the time to enjoy the luxuries of life. Tell me, would he not be a tired man by now? Years of abuse slows he body down, specially when one is not giving the body any kind of rest or pampering it every now and then.

well well well, a son is always mother's son no matter he would b 10 20 or even 50, in front of your mother ull remain the small son always and its not about age so please. 😲🥱

again ill say, love is love, and if u live with people like sarla and amma who hardly give u time to spend with your wife, u will run after her, after all he married her so he can romance her when ever he wants, don't take this from him.

Na na, he is not 80 yrs old, as i replied on my previous post, the man works so hard, he spent his young age in work, he did not spend time with his family, this is reason he is not able to spend time with his kids. (read my prev post)

Hey thanks for responding! Twice!

Respect your views , though I don't agree with them.

I haven't read any interviews of cast members- I'm going by just what is shown on TV.

To be fair, its possible that Raghwa is a very busy man at work.

Yet, the poor man finds time to listen to his Mum's stories, hear his sister's 'juicy' tales,

abort Amit's 'suicide' attempt, host Amit's wedding , talk lovingly to Pari &

give her money etc etc.

Time is really hard to find!😲

Hi, this is my complain too, they never show it, how the viewers would know, they might tried too, mean the raghav coming very late home mean two am n then fell asleep on his mother's bed, next morning again gone to work

About the find time thing, when he is around, his kids are busy, do. Thry want to spend time with him?

Mean when shivam comes what he does? Did effort come from his kids too?

Dont forget once nimmi show him the dress she design, he praised her, her daadi got jealous but agAin he said dress is very nice, also he found time to talk to shivam when they ride to office in train stetion , shivam is always silent in front of him, why not talk for a change?

Amma is not around when they r out from home

We blame him, what about the kids, y dont they try to b his freibds when amma not around?

The way he refused to listen to his wife's side of the story on that occassion really

sticks out in this story. On one ocassion, when his Mom said that his wife & kids had

annoyed her, he did not ask for any explanations. He just took his Mom & was

walking out of the house, leaving his wife, son & 2 unmarried daughters.

Daadi keeps threatening Khushiya- "Wait till my Raghwa comes...!"

Everyone knows, Raghwa will listen only to his Amma.

Children who grow up in such an atmosphere - they cannot feel free to

talk to their Father about anything & in particular about the Father's Mother,

her lies & cheap tricks. They think he would be angry with them

and would not even care to listen about the details. And they would be right!

This has been shown quite well in the show. The silences, the children's secret

glances & careful whispers...Even then Daadi, her daughter & the daughter's

children all trouble them. Because they also know Mamaji will only listen to his Amma.

I agree that his relationship with his Kids needs a lot of work. His mother indeed knows how to work him. She takes advantage of the fact he is working long hours. The scene where she tried to expose Khushiya with the phone, when she locked Nimmi in the room. ( Her face when he came home said it all SHE KNEW SHE WAS WRONG but turned it . Even when he asked Nimmi what happened She said ask Dadi...What did she do She began paraising Nimmi saying she worked hard fulling water and Khushiya said forget it all ...Indicative that he is very much unaware of what is happening.
Again with the Clothes Nimmi was proud of it, he was praising her good work Shanti looked like her world just crashed as she fell to the floor.! My guess is she dose not allow him the time he needed to bond with them.
NO he is not perfect. he beleves his mother will not say anything that is wrong. Koushilya did give him a piece of her mind about what he did by searching Shivam. And he did in his way apologize. No he is not the warm emotional type that much is obvious , but he dose care about them.
As for Shivam's Job, he hid it which was wrong. By doing so he made it look like his mother instigated it to get the $$$. Untrue of course, but given the type of person that Shanti is he should have known that would happen.

You make some very good points -you're right -

Hiding the job thing could lead to problems only.

But then, revealing about it also would lead to problems-the same old thing-

taking all of the hard earned money & passing it on to Sarla's children.

The children of Ragwa are really as much

victims of Shanti's evil doings as of Ragwa's 'innocent' doings.

They are in a lose-lose situation. If they are nice to Father & his Mother -

they have to go on serving Sarla & her family.

If they protest or keep a distance, then also there is trouble!

The objective way would be to openly talk to Ragwa & challenge the mad rules his Mother

imposes. This can be done by someone who comes into the situation as an adult(like Riya)
