No big hopes from Riya, actually DISAPPOINTED FROM her - Page 2

I cannot picture Riya taking on a fly , let alone a giant Shanti Devi and Herculean Sarla.

Riya so far is shown as soft spoken, ready to do anything the fake MIL ask her to. She is like a puppet so far then how will she be a lion.

She is shown to be a flimsy person, who loves Shivam but there is no lovey dovey talk. Earlier they showed snippets of 5 lakh tilak that Anupam was going to take to her in laws and I thought she would object but only a murmur of it was shown. The CV's squashed the whole idea.

I thought this show was about equal rights to money earned, equal rights in the house. Are the CV's going to show us a huge change in Riya when she comes to her in laws house? otherwise the current Riya will never rise to the mark of the 4 schemers.

Ekta kaul spoke in an interview about her character. She said that Riya was not easily influenced, but as time passes, I see her being heavily influenced by Bunty's words who often gives advice on how to "win" Shivan's heart. I would have sworn that Bunty could have taken Shanti Devi on singlehandedly If they hadn't made her behave like a side character, and her character wasn't dumbed down in these wedding episodes. We see too much of Riya and Bunty planning what to do rather than Riya speaking her own mind and actually completely going by her own decision. Her final decision is always a mixture of someone else's opinion and hers. During the wedding episodes, I believe Riya is shown as an easygoing character who doesn't mind listening to her would be "mother-in-law" 's instructions. At least Bounty was suspicious about Riya's Hero and his nature, but Riya , I believe, is in an solid love with Shivam to notice. She really seems juvenile , a budding blossom, and I am a bit scared for her. I hope the shows maintains its comedic structure.

I myself think for the role of Riya someone else was needed who's beautiful but tough.. Whom Shanti would have thought twice before playing with.

Not my idea of a 'heroine'

I also said in my previous post she's not a heroine material as her expressions is dull and her dreams makes her selfish she's not innocent as she knows how to fall in love and did everything till the marriage herself as Ronshaan said let sarla out of this game it is Riya who gave her the opportunities everytime directly or indirectly.

I had high hopes for Riya as well thinking she will take on Shanti and sarla and support Shivam and his family but watching Riya at the moment i have lost most of my hopes 😔 all she wants is to get married and is not prepared to listen to anyone (except sarla) dadi bhua is try to explain to her what shanti is like and something happened in the past between them but Riya is deaf to it all even her dad thinks that Dadi bhua is in the wrong
