Where is Sarla's in laws? How come they are not there to participate in the wedding - so unrealistic.

Sarla is bin baap ki choti si bachi so she has only her pyari amma...Shantidevi.
Both are so irritating that the show has no storyline to show only these two and there negativities .
There's a limit to watch negative stuffs in a show.
Leads are on and off sometimes completely not shown but these two are always here to give a migraine.
This show teaches that there's no love and respect between cousins.
CV'S when will be the downfall of Sarla and Ashanti.

Yes! Seems like the story writers can't handle more characters than they already have so they conveniently forgot Sarla's husband's family. Wait till they convey(in dialogues very soon) that Ashok was an orphan too 😆

To the list of unrealistic things add the Chikat Ceremony being done by the Groom's Uncle's Brother-in-Law!!

In a marriage ceremony, it is the Uncle(s) be it of the Bride or the Groom who have importance, not Uncle's brother-in-law!
Uncle's wife's brother's family have no obligation to fulfill & Jagdish & Renu needn't offer gifts to his sister's husband's sister's son! Utter c&*p! Not just that, they were humiliated as well!

Shantidevi wants her daughter-in-law's brother's wife to come and work for her daughter's son's marriage, pay for the meals and get humiliated in addition! 😡

I know I know Jagdish & Renu are there because eventually it is going to be Shivam's marriage and yes, then they are obligated to do what they are doing, but not in the circumstances they are currently in. Everything is fair in the name of SOAPY TWIST 🥱

what about the 5 lakhs that Riya's dad is giving Sarla. Isn't that dowry. DO u give such huge amount of money for tilak. And if it is a ceremony, why was he and Bua hiding it from Riya?

Yeah, the wedding track is really illogical. If this was in some other era where phones, etc are not there and if both the families are staying in far away places, I could understand. But to think that the girl would not once discuss about her future plans, etc with the guy she loves and to whom she is supposedly engaged... is unbelievable. And to think the girl's father who loves the girl so much doesn't bother to find out about the groom or meet him... is illogical.

I think they forgot that this is the 21st century where it is ok for married to be to talk prior. This makes no sense.

I was hoping to see some love scenes over the phone, the excitement, love, waiting etc but here it is all about Sarla and Bua Dadi and Shanti.

Very confused if I am living in the 21 st century or in primitive ages

Exactly, the point here is that illogical things are been shown in the show. First of all the girl is stalking like crazy after the guy like a despo, secondly she does not even know if Shivam loves her. He hasn't proposed her yet. Then, she goes to his house and tries to be friendly with his so called parents as if Shivam is the only guy on earth and if she misses marrying him she won't find another guy. I understand that she is in love with Shivam, but thr way her character has been protrayed it seems like she is desperately wanting to marry. Which girl will ever want to do that? Then amongst all rituals which are actually stretched for no reason, where is the kundli or sagai rasam which is more important. If riya can't take the name of the guy, is her friend Bunty also barred from calling up Shivam and asking him if he is excited about this marriage. Where are the wedding cards? Didn't she invite her office friends, the father is not even bothered about taking the name of the damaad, no mention is done about the wedding board outside the hall. The girl is under oath for not taking Shivam's name, is the father, brother and Bua also under some kind of oath. How come when Raghav has taken leave from his job, he is still getting calls from there and he is made to disappear when the most problems are about to prop. A very very illogical wedding is been shown here. Riya is shown independent, but sorry to say that she is stupid and dumb. I have not witnessed any marriage where the girl's father is so relaxed and does not bother to at least have the picture of the groom or meet him once. Riya is under oath now, but her dad should have at least mentioned the name of the groom once. CV's are ruining this show by dragging it too much, that's why the forum isn't popular either. Other than Riya, all the characters ar best.

I agree with the points raised by dimple_usa. This to me seems like a half baked show , where nothing makes sense

The only thing I have seen in the past 1 week if not more , is Sarla running everywhere like a headless chicken.
