You need to know about Islam. There's NO mourning month.
We are not allowed to mourn after 3 days of anyone's death.
May Allah guide you to the right path :)

Islamic new year 1435 has started and here in Saudi Arabia, everyone is celebrating it not mourning.

Happy New Islamic Year to everyone!
Have a great year ahead!

So your going to celebrate when Prophet's Muhammads grandson Imam Hussain sacrificed his life, family for the sake of Islam? What about Fatima the daughter of Prophet Muhammad , she mourned for many days over Prophet Muhammads death. Please give me hadith/verse e.t.c to see where it says that we cant mourn for 3 days.

Thanks dear member.

I am an Arabian girl , I am from Sunnah not Shiyah, We celebrate Muharram , coz it has many good things for Muslims:

1) It is the biggining of Islamic new year .Khalifa Umar bin Alkhattab (Allah bless him ) made a new date using moon timing and started it from Hidjra . Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alaihi ea sallam )traveled to Madina from Mecca on the first day of the Islamic year 1345 years back, and the great Imperor of Muslims was build. Hidjra is the reason for the victory of Muslims, and for spreading Islam in the world.

2) Muharram 10th marked the victory of profhet Musa ( Alaihi assalam) against Paraoh. Prophet Muhammad (salla Allah alaihi wa sallam) fasted on that day after hundreds of years thanking Allah for this.

3) Fasting in Muharram is the best Ibadat after fasting in Ramadan. Allah bless those who do this and gives him alot of digrees . (sorry my English language is limited )

Wow you really have no knowledge of Islam my dear. Its a very common thing in Islam that people are not allowed to mourn AFTER 3 days of death. Allah sends people to this World and He takes them back.

Prophet (PBUH)'s Daughter Fatimah RA did NOT mourn for many days after his Demise. Get your facts right.

Hussain ibn Ali (May Allah grant him Jannah) fought for Islam not so that people can cry on his death.
He was a true believer and he would have never wanted muslims to cry on his death every year.
We should learn from him and do our best for Islam. And the first thing you can do for Allah is, offering Salah. Get to know the meaning of Quran, not just read it without knowing whats written in it.

I have seen many people doing all the mourning thing all day in black cloths and they dont even care about offering Salah, which a Muslim is not Allowed to skip, not at any cost!

May Allah guide us to the right path!

These notion of mourning is Bid'at. Do not anything new in Islam. Islam was completed at the farewell pilgrimage by Propher Muhammad (Pbuh). There is no scope of adding new days of mourning or other days or issues in Islam.

O men! the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calendar in order to make permissible that which Allah forbade, and to prohibit what Allah has made permissible. With Allah, the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, three are successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban.

With this statement, Muhammad is setting forth a common yet broken norm of the time that states that there are twelve months per year in both the lunar and solar calendars. Muslims are to observe their sacredness; no one has the right to change them or to tamper with the calendar.[11] Muhammad also states that there are four holy months: Dhu al-Qi'dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, Muharram and Rajab.

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

there is no mention of such month of mourning !!
